I went along for a family celebration. Food was awesome, great choice on wines and lovely settings. My only tiny negative is that we all felt slightly under pressure to order our food before getting a chance to have a quick drink and peruse the big choice of delicious options - not an easy task!

I have been critical of the Oyster Box as it went through a spell where we were disappointed with food quality. I guess it is down to the Chef, and when we visited it was the regular head Chef on duty. He runs a tight ship we could here him being very vocal in organising his staff from our table. This wasn't intrusive we just happened to be very near the kitchen. The food was excellent and we would recommend the Oyster Box again. The service by the way was very good, although we have always found the service to be good.

We went here one night whilst we were away for a long weekend. It was a great place to celebrate our wedding anniversary with beautiful views over the beach. The Seafood was great. We shared some sushi to start and I loved my seabass main and my husband had the crab which he said was very fresh. Little pricey for a normal night out but worth it for a special occasion as the food was of a very good quality.

With Jerseys abundance of cows, dairy, pottery, wine and of course a coast full of sea food - it really has no excuse to let you down on it's gastronomy - and the Oyster Box put smiles on our (table of 10) face. London Gastro level cooking, with French flavours and nicer prices. A great evening out. I just wish we had time to go back on the Monday..next time.

We have been to the Oyster Box several times even though we do not live in Jersey! I read the reports on the internet and thought we should try it and now we love it. The staff are excellent as usual and the food (if you like fish/shellfish) is great as usual. St Brelade's Bay is wonderful and the position of this restaurant is excellent even though we have only been in winter/spring. You can eat and drink and then walk it off along the promenade and look out to see. What is not to like. All in all it is great and a lot cheaper than those fancy restaurants in St Helier!

If you like over-priced, pretentious sea food restaurants then this is the place for you. Microscopic starters followed by a dollop of de-frosting crab meat in a shell and an average portion of fish and chips. Add a bottle of supermarket wine and wave goodbye to £80. The best thing about this restaurant is its location.

As always the food was excellent, one of the best kitchens in Jersey. As I reported a couple of weeks ago service is becoming an issue. The young staff are enthusiastic and keen to help but no one is organising them. Three different people asked for our wine order, a request for more bread was over-looked, we waited a long time for water. These are small issues but the restaurant could be outstanding if processes improved.

As a diabetic it's really difficult to find fine food that's healthy without compromising. Here you were actually invited to ask if you needed food plainly cooked and the choices on the menu are just wonderful . Sushi starter delicious followed by the best crab and new potatoes with salad plus, a revelation in Jersey jewel like fresh raspberries with a small but perfect scoop of vanilla ice cream and a filo chocolate straw. ( that my partner snaffled) The food here in Jersey is undeniably fantastic but very rich. The food at the Oyster box gives you all that but in a way that means you can enjoy, without worry or having to call ahead to ask for a special diet.

I have been dining at the Oysterbox since 2010 when I am in Jersey on business or holiday and it never disappoints. The seafood is stunning and clearly the freshest available. On first glance the menu doesn't appear to be extensive, nor should it be as once you have read the choices you will spend an age deliberating as it all sounds delicious, and it is! The appetiser starter is highly recommended for those who can't choose a single entree - it is 3 delicate, portions of the best starters on the menu and your table guests will have 'food envy' when they see your plate arrive. The steaks are amazing but if you are a seafood junkie you cannot go wrong - the lobster with garlic butter and Jersey Royal potatoes is my absolute favourite.

What a fantastic meal! The service was excellent and only surpassed by the deliciousness of the food. My wife said she had one of the best fish dishes of her life - the turbot - which is saying something as she is a real foodie when it comes to fish. My fillet rossini was simply superb and perfectly cooked. Can't wait to go back.

As a regular user of the restaurant this was my most disappointing experience. There seemed to be no management of service, every course was very slow, staff could not cope, and our bill came with incorrect and over-charged drinks. I was with an important business visitor to Jersey but will not use the Oyster Box again for such purposes.

We went to Oysterbox on the 22nd August. We had an early booking at 6pm. I had scallops and pea puree for starters which were delicious. My husband had oysters. My son had fish cakes with hollandaise. Our wine glasses were filled without prompting and our requests for more water and bread were delivered efficiently. Main courses were exemplary. Mine was the dressed crab with side salad and new potatoes, my son had lamb, very tasty. My husband ordered the fruit de mer and it was easily enough for two with crab, oysters and other sea food. It is too much for one person! Our desserts did not disappoint either. I had the frangelico pannacotta and my husband had ice cream, my son had the mango bavroise. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.
