A word from Tom's Kitchen - Chelsea
Tom’s Kitchen is a modern British twist on a French brasserie. While brasserie means comfort food – there is Caesar salad and steak tartare, fish pie and macaroni cheese (with a grating of truffle), Tom’s Kitchen also puts its well-executed spin on other dishes such as hand-dived baked scallops with chorizo, and duck confit. Desserts are no less exciting - and comforting, from milk chocolate mousse profiteroles to espresso crème brûlée.
Tom’s Kitchen believes in making the most of the seasons, so the menu changes accordingly, bringing the best each month has to offer.
Breakfast is big at Tom’s Kitchen - voted Best Breakfast in London by Time Out. As well as The Full English, dishes include eggs royale with smoked salmon, crisp Belgian waffles with caramelized apples, cinnamon cream and maple syrup, plus homemade granola with mixed berries and Greek yoghurt.

The service was friendly and efficient . The food was okay but thats all , there was nothing different to a gastropub , infact i've had better pub food . Everyone enjoyed the busy atmosphere created by the tables being close to each other . I found much better places to eat nearby for similar prices. Its a place to eat in to fill a hole . romantic it's not but thats obvious from the outside. Cheerful but not cheap.

We had a peasant enough meal but given the reputation and calibre of the head chef we were a little disappointed with our overall experience. The decor and ambiance is informal bistro style but feels quite cramped with little space between tables and little privacy from neighbouring tables. Good and generously proportioned starters of risotto and terrine were sadly let down by my partners main course of Chicken and Ham Pie which had a disappointingly thin sauce and lacked flavour, the accompanying thrice cooked chips and carrot side were inexplicably underdone (even for those who like a little crunch in their veg). That said my pork belly was nice though not outstanding. Service was prompt and attentive but the welcome on arrival was a little "aloof" - but then perhaps that is just Chelsea for you? A bill of £100+ for two courses and a decent bottle of wine was not shocking but we would hope for those prices to deliver a little "wow" factor which was lacking. To be fair to the restaurant we didn't make a complaint about the pie or the underdone veg so they did not have a chance to rectify - perhaps we should have.

Very disappointed that Tom's Kitchen have stopped serving the breakfast options for brunch at 11.30am on the weekend. So now you have limited egg options and more of a lunch menu. Also for the first time, the atmosphere was non existent as there were so many empty tables. Not sure stopping the breakfast menu was such a good idea as normally on a Sunday at 11.30 the restaurant is packed.

We booked on saturday 08/11/14. Great pure food. Although my main was not warm enough we had al lovely meal. This minor error was largely compensated by a very nice gesture the maître d' made. Next time we visit London, the restaurant will certainly be again on our list.

We were looking forward to our first visit to Toms Kitchen but it turned out to be terribly disappointing. On arrival we were allocated a table on the first floor which had no atmosphere what so ever. The food (with the exception of the pate`) was bland, lacking flavour and poorly presented so we left after two courses without finishing our bottle of wine as there was absolutely no point in prolonging the experience. The one positive point was our waiter for the evening was very pleasant, as for the rest it was poor at best.

Was let down by the main course a simple easy to make 'Eggs Royal' was dry, and the how late it arrived to our table. The Bloody Mary drinks were over spiced and watery and the service was rushed for closing time. It was rude to offer us the check while we were still finishing off our desert.

Have been going there for years. This was our four year anniversary dinner. The waitress was pushy and impatient (they probsbably wanted their table back for the next sitting) , unrefined (you don't put down a glass of wine on the table by almost breaking it) and many other examples. Possibly not trained correctly. Food was a little cold and the fish was dry. So overall not a good meal. Brunch is usually much better so perhaps we will stick to tha.

The most disappointing brunch I've ever had in London! I ordered poached eggs on wheat toast. The toast was a thick doorstep of dry over-toasted bread without a good flavour. No butter was served with it or offered up. The yolks of the poached eggs were overdone. The service was very surly and gave the impression that the waiting staff wanted to get rid of you asap. I had to speak to them over the phone and was given the same rude treatment then. I thought it was appalling value for money and would not go back.

You get get the same level of quality for Pub food in a proper gastropub SW London for a better value. I went for dinner on a Wednesday evening with a group of friends who just arrived in London for business and we wanted an informal environment to have good food, drinks and a good conversation. Although overpriced for regular pub food, the quality was good, and it was noted by my guests. Unfortunately the place starts to be empty quite soon, and we end up chatting at the end of our meal with all the employees were just waiting for us to leave. In other similar situations, I've been with my guests in several gastropubs you can find in Chelsea and Fulham, and the food was equally good, less pricey, without the pressure to leave.

This place would be excellent if it wasn't for the fact that, like most places open for brunch at the weekend in Chelsea, it is full of screaming children. Also, as the tables are packed in too close together, (to the extent that the poor staff have to squeeze between them), you are closer than you would care to be to said screamers. I don't understand why they don't open the upstairs part of the restaurant for breakfast as well - there are plenty of customers to make it worth their while, and it would also give them a more adult-friendly option. Food-wise, the full English was excellent. However, the sausage sandwich is poor - two huge doorstops, tomato chutney and salad. Such a shame. The staff are brilliant it has to be said.

Really disappointing experience, staff had to be chased several times for water, drinks, food etc - waited for 15 min at the beginning for someone to offer coffee/tea before my friend arrived and we waited around 45 for food. Awful quality flat white coffee. Eggs Benedict came with burnt bacon instead of ham, couple next to us were arguing with the Manager at the time and the brunch was planned as my friend's birthday present so it felt awkward to complain.

As always having brunch at Tom's kitchen was special. French toast and Pancakes were really well-made and delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient although sometimes so much so that as soon as the fork went up with the last bite the plate underneath would disappear before the fork landed back down again. Overall eating here is always a pleasure and a meal to remember.

Fun place for a date or for dinner with friends. Our steaks were a little overdone - medium rare rather than rare as we had both requested - but not worth saying anything as we were desperate to eat them! Dessert menu a bit uninspiring - I would like to have seen a sticky toffee pudding on there. Great service and excellent wine list.

Tom's Kitchen has been one of the best restaurants I have gone to in London. I bring people there every time I have the chance! Great traditional British pub food, but also Italian options. Great selection of meats and seafood. Fish & chips to die for, and they give a portion to a charity. I absolutely recommend this place as a comfortable / cozy British kitchen that you can still have a fantastic high quality meal. Not too fancy / pretentious, and great ambiance. Perfect for chilly nights to warm the heart & soul. On a cozy Chelsea street as well.

Went there last weekend and got very disappointed with the waiter at first. Very pushy, at our table every 3 minutes, and the worst: he couldn't even speak any English. Then the food. I was looking forward to the Mac'nCheese with truffles, but they forgot the truffles. It would have taken too long to get a new one so we left it. The pie of the day was nice, but the spinach was very tasteless. All in all an experience I don't want to repeat. So a one-off for this place. Sorry. Even taking the Mac'n'Cheese of the bill didn't make it better.

I am a regular visitor to Tom's Kitchen and have until this visit always been impressed. This time we were seated upstairs - the service was poor. A few examples - I asked the upstairs manager if the burger was the rare breed burger normally served. He said it was - it wasn't. I asked for the homemade ketchup - regular ketchup arrived after a reminder, and it only came when we were hallway through our food. We had to ask twice for water. There was a general air of confusion upstairs even though it wasn't busy, These might seem like trivial matters but it's not cheap for what it is and you can get much better service for the price elsewhere in the vicinity.

The pork belly we ordered was very small and being priced at over 20 pounds it was definitely not worth it. I had the summer vegetable crumble, it seemed like it was overly salty in some areas and less so in others. I still think their brunch is much better.
