  • "The table service was really good, nice suggestions! Cocktails were also really good! Even if I don't like juicy cocktails, but yours were amazing! Except the butter punch, it tasted like water. Food had a good quality and size but not good at all with the theme of trader's vic! Need a lot of work! But overall good impression!"

  • "The first thing my family ( 5 time visitors to the restaurant every visit to london) was order our favorite dishes but they were gone. Menu changed.When our food arrived it was cold. And the all loving music lounge atmosphere that we remembered was gone. Instead we were left with Spanish/island slow unrecognisable songs. There were several parties there for the night expecting the same hip, modern, old school and new tunes live covers that were engaging and dragged people to the dance floor. Instead when we left the restaurant at 1030 the floor was empty and we were not impressed. Trader Vic's has had a long reputation for good service, food, and ambiance that has shown a value for customers however last Friday night they lost several."

  • "trader vic's, below the hilton has been there forever and overall it has loads of atmosphere. the cocktails are just great, a fantastic choice but after that not so good. the music was turned up loud, which is sort of ok in the bar, but not in the restaurant. i want to be able to hear the other people on the table without straining. the menu i thought was limited and expensive. the pancakes for the crispy duck came out all stuck together and it took more than one "ask" to get that sorted. didn't have desert, as nothing caught my eye, but of course that is purely personal. i would go back for the cocktails but not for the food."

  • "I made an online reservation for a birthday dinner for my partner and I for 6pm. On arrival, the manager could not find the booking. The restaurant was completely empty and instead of seating us and adopting "the cusomer is always right" policy, we got interrogated as to when and how we booked it and we stood having the dicussion for more than 5 minutes and were made to feel at fault. In the end we went back to our room (we were staying at the hotel) and retrieved the paper confirmation. From that point forward the meal was ruined for us and although the food was nice, the excitement of the birthday meal had been ruined. The manager never apologised but managed to annoy us all evening."

Fantastic exotic food with a unique atmosphere (and decor) and cocktails you will never find anywhere else (served in a skull mug perhaps!) The only negative is price, so save it for a special night"

  • "I arranged a group dinner celebration at Trader Vic's for my birthday. The staff were super helpful and accommodating right from reservation, maitre'd to service (though we didn't ask for the side order of attitude brought over by the waitress with the final bill). Everybody raved about their dishes in terms of taste, portion size and value. The music also encouraged the feel good vibe and the staff sang happy birthday to me over a complimentary and delicious créme brûlée!"

  • "We were staying at the Hilton Park Lane for a fun weekend in London and invited some friends to dinner at Trader Vic's. While the food was amazing, the primary thing we remember is how poor the service was. We waited 20+ minutes for the waiter to arrive after asking the manager to send our waiter to take our order. We were waited on by a random array of servers, only after we asked to order drinks/app, dinner, and to get our check. All were incredibly rude. For dinner we had the Beef and Reef and Crispy Duck, both of which were wonderful and prepared perfectly. I have never in hte UK or US been treated so poorly by wait staff. I am still thinking about how wonderful the Crispy Duck was, but not sure I would ever return on my next trip."

  • "I went for dinner with my wife. Pre-dinner drinks and starters were fine. I was served the wrong main course and when I pointed this out, the waiter took away my meal but never offered to replace it! Trader Vic's advertise live music to accompany dinner - be warned, it is treated as a night club, The management did little to control a drunk group of customers at the bar who ruined everyone's evening with their hooligan behaviour. I pointed this out to the Manager (and my meal issue) was given a "free" cocktail. I paid and left. Customer Services have declined to respond to a feedback email I sent them. AVOID!"

  • "I don't usually fill out these reviews but this experience was so bad. It is as if they are catering to a captive audience with the guests in the hotel the restaurant is attached to. Poor device, mediocre food, and an expensive bill are bad combination. Easy to say I'll not go there again."

  • "We loved the cocktails and our meal at Trader Vics. The décor is amazing and the staff friendly and service was prompt. The mixed fish starter was of good standard but the soft shell crab let it down. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his T-bone steak, a very generous size and cooked to perfection. My Szechuan prawns and noodle main was delicious and also a generous portion. We couldn't stay long enough to enjoy the band but will surely return on a future date!"

  • "I invited my best friend for her last girly week end as she is getting married on saturday... she was very desapointed with her food,,, she did not go for anything special (cheapest option on the menu)... she hardly ate it... and beleive me she is not fussy eater...and is pretty easy iwth her food. I came to this restaurant/bar for about 4 times now and loved it ... but after this experience, I am desappointed that she did not like her food ... sO that's spoilt a bit of your evening... went to the bar for another cocktail but did not stay too long..."
