Portion sizes were too small despite being very highly priced, quality wasn't worth it. Piri piri chicken was mostly fat and bone, the steak was well cooked but i've had much nicer for a fraction of the price (flat iron comes to mind) we received 1 bowl of chips between 2 of us despite the menu saying that each meal comes with a side of chips. No normal lagers to drink. Would consider coming for lunch as the lunch menu is considerably cheaper but would not come back for dinner.

  • Not bad....but could be better

The chicken for us was the highlight. Steaks were good, but not overwhelmingly fantastic for the £75 tag on the Porterhouse. Fillet was very nice. Apps were hit & miss. Croquette was outstanding, wings, eh. The reason this gets 2 stars is for the how the evening ended for us. 6 guys having a team dinner in a booth. We're told after 2 plus hours of drinks & food that our table is reserved for someone else & that if we wanted desert we had to pay the bill & go upstairs. ?? When we questioned this odd request from a waiter we haven't seen before we're told "For sure, the other party is ready in 10 min" We paid, reluctantly, but in a timely manner & then went to the gallery downstairs. Coming back upstairs, we notice our booth is empty, the one next to ours is empty & there are 10-15 open tables in the restaurant. So, for spending over £425 on dinner, we were basically asked to leave. This has never, ever happened to me.........ever! I'd say don't go & save your money. For an absolutely fantastic experience every time I've been go to Hawksmoor. I won't be back to Tramshed

Had a lovely meal there for my boyfriends birthday. The chicken was lovely a juicey and the steak was perfectly cooked. The food isn't the cheapest but i definitely still regard it as affordable. The venue is large with a huge Damien Hurst feature hanging from the ceiling. Its so nice to go to a restaurant in London where you can book beforehand and guarentee you'll get a seat straight away. Definitely a place for foodies and meat lovers.

Diner at Tramshed was ok, the chicken was really good (although skin wasn't crispy). The burger was very simple but the meat was really good and tasty, so that's the most important. A bit disappointed by the thickness of the sirloin steak. We ordered a very good wine but it was hot :( Décor is great, the room is beautiful and the cow is very original and fun.

I booked via open table for 8 diners but emailed to increase it to 10 which the website would not let me, and this was arranged no problem by the venue. A buzzing atmosphere and groups enjoying themselves, great service and good food with a range or individual meals and great sharing options with the whole chicken (feet in the air!) and great steaks. Good for special occasions and dates plus Monday is BYO day - so we will return!

Took my boyfriend here for a birthday meal last week and it went down really well. It's a lovely restaurant with friendly staff and quick service. We were there during lunch time and it got quite busy after we'd been there for an hour or so, full of what seemed to be a few business lunches and a some other couples, but we weren't rushed at all. Service was quick and the staff helpful, would definitely recommended as the food was delicious.

Having read reviews that however good the food that the service may be an issue and as we were taking friends that would have been embarrassing. Ironically the service was better than anything! Starters included the beer stix, croquettes which were delicious, chicken wing, beer balls and the Yorkshire pud which were yummy! Porterhouse and chateau steak followed with a fab bernaise and sides. All washed down with a good Malbec or two and followed by a shared salted caramel fondue. Despite being a large open space they have successfully created atmosphere and a real buzz and although not the best meat I've eaten it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and one I'd recommend. My only gripe being the 2 hr on tables - really frustrating.

I booked for a group of 10 which then turned out to be 8. The staff were at all times present and friendly demonstrating a good knowledge of the food and drinks they served. Staff at most other restaurants just give you a vague idea about something; "oh you can try it, its nice". Not these guys they really do know their stuff. The steak is awesome and far better than the Wine Co. in Westfield. Great ambiance and great service we never had to start looking round for someone to call over and we were always made to feel as though we were welcome and valued, something most other places overlook. This helped to create a memorable evening and we'll definitely be going back.

Probably the first restaurant where all food was outstanding from starters to desserts. The meat was delicious and cooked to perfection. The rest was very good too. The only spot was the person who served us who was probably not happy about the night. However, never rude. It was my partner's birthday and it was very nice the staff presented with a birthday plate consisting of a slice of a chocolate cake with a candle. Thanks!

Tramshed was great choice for my husbands birthday dinner, he loves steak really enjoyed it. I like that you can buy a carafe of wine if you don't feel like a whole bottle. I also just mentioned in the booking notes it was my husbands birthday and they brought him a delicious chocolate cake with a candle and message at the end of our meal which was totally unexpected so I was really pleased with that special touch. The menu is limited with a selection of chicken and steak dishes, as expected. Drinks menu is pretty good if somewhat expensive. I certainly enjoyed the cider I chose. We shared a selection of starters all of which were pretty good with the croquettes being favourite. Between us we ordered a mix of a whole chicken (very good) and two 500g sirloin steaks. The steaks were ordered medium rare but were delivered medium and well done. Unfortunately, I didn't send mine (the well done) back, in part because I was concerned about the time limit at the table. To be honest, with such a limited menu, it is unforgivable to fail at such a basic level. I will not be back.

The Tramshed has a fantastic feeling and is a great place to go as a group. I'm not sure it will be the best place for a Vegetarian, I'm sure there were options but I personally didn't notice I was too busy looking at the large slabs of meat and what beautiful meat it is. I would definitely go again.

My expectations were good but the food was really over prices. There is nothing worse than coming out of a restaurant and feeling you did not got value. It's not about the amount you spend it is about feeling you paid a fair price. The food was not great and the service was average. Was gutted and would not go back. I am always a positive person so its a real shame to have to write such a negative review but with some many places to choose from in London then did not want people making the same mistake

I arrived at the venue 25 mins early and straight away was shown to my table, however, being alone, I asked to have a drink at the bar which was met by hesitatation before being ushered to a secluded corner right at the back of the room. I was seated and left. I asked if I should order my drink from the bar and was told someone would take my order-10 mins later, no one came, so I went to find someone to take my order! Given the secluded nature of my seat I asked to sit at the table. The booking was at 2.30-we left just after 6pm, not due to a leisurely lunch but this is how long it took to be served 4 mains and 2 desserts, the coffees never arrived! Food was "good", service "poor". would try again if someone else initiated it.

This is another in the growing number of Hix venues in the capital and it doesn't disappoint. With the usual quirky touches here and there (from a Hirst cow and chicken in formaldehyde above you as you eat to the animated erotic displays in the toilets) the ambience is a cut above. The food is typical Hix and a very concise menu of beef and chicken keeps it uncomplicated and assures you eat what the man intended.

I went to the Tramshed about 2 years ago and was disappointed to find the quality of service and food had decreased since then. Our waitress kept coming to our table for drinks orders even though we told her we would order when everyone had arrived. Once we were all seated, it was very difficult to get any staff's attention to order. Food was mediocre. We ordered the steak medium rare and it was more medium/well done. Not very impressed with the sides of broccoli either - plainly steamed with no effort at presentation whatsoever.
