A word from Vasco & Piero's Pavilion Restaurant
Vasco and Piero opened the restaurant in 1971. Vasco and Piero created the restaurant out of a passion for good, uncomplicated Italian food. The making of fresh pasta on the premises has always been a priority. From the outset, the menu changed twice a day, a tradition which still continues.
Vasco was born in Umbria and as a result of this many foods are sourced direct from farmers in this region. Particular favourites are truffles, wild mushrooms, seasoned cheeses and cured meats such as lombetto and capocollo.
We only use the best quality extra virgin olive oil mainly from Umbria, Central Italy.
Many of our hams & salames such as Lombetto (a cured loin of pork) are imported from local Umbrian farms.
When in season, we import black & white truffles from hunters around the hills of Umbria.
Our balsamic vinegar is from Modena. We use Maldon sea salt with pure flaky crystals.

We were initially delighted with the service - attentive staff, food arrived very promptly and was of consistently excellent quality. However, our experience was marred by the restaurant's handling of a small accident. Our waiter spilled a glass of red wine over the meal of one our guests. The wine stained my mother's clothing and tablecloth. We had to wait a short while for the meal to be replaced. The waiter was very apologetic however we would have expected a small 'compensation' - free drink, free replacement meal or the like. Had this been forthcoming, we would have rated the restaurant as excellent in all aspects.

This restaurant has an impeccable pedigree and remains a firm favourite. The menu changes daily according to the fresh market produce available and the wine list us excellent. Indeed a vinophile friend from the US paid a special pilgrimage here for a specific wine! The staff are charming and most welcoming. The whole experience never fails to provide an excellent evening.

We are long term lovers of Vascos though usually dine there at lunch times. On this occasion we invited friends for dinner on what was their first visit to the restaurant. Vascos didn't let us down. As usual the meal and service were excellent. Good food, well cooked with excellent flavour combinations - not fancy but delicious. The service, friendly but unobtrousive. Our friends loved it too. Thank you Vascos.

A restaurant resting on its reputation. Staff abrupt, food very very average, expensive and with so many great restaurants in the area it is not good enough to rely on gullible American tourists to half fill you restaurant

Cozy and friendly, with excellent food. It proved to be the place where you can enjoy a tasteful real Italian food and a conversation that you do not have to shout to be heard. The employees are welcoming and friendly. They seem to / have the ability to get next to you, ready to serve, immediately as you raise your head and look around, not that you might ever will need to, since they discreetly “shadow” all the tables, and keep the orders flowing.

A lovely evening was had tasting simple yet delightful Umbrian cuisine and fine wines, in a special restaurant. The waiter service was attentive and polite and they managed to make a busy evening look easy to handle. I would happily go again and try other dishes from the menu; there is such a variety.

Must have been here ten times so far. Love the Umbrian twist on Italian (having visited Umbria a number of times). Had fried eggs with white truffles for starter, which was unusual and exactly as you would expect - two fried eggs with white truffle shavings, nothing else. Roast duck breast was a little bland I thought, rather disappointing. Swordfish was described by my guest as "best I've ever had". Fig ice cream very nice. Will go again!

i read the positive reviews about the ambience and food quality, and booked a table for 4. Our guests were Italians.....and they were very impressed by the quality of the pasta and espresso. A family-run restaurant, and they clearly are interested in providing a good experience for everyone...not often found in the West End! Recommended.

We always go out of our way to dine at Vasco & Piero's whenever we are in London. The menu changes daily as they always use whatever is fresh and in season. The plates are not extravagant, but the dishes are very flavourful. If you are looking for excellent Umbrian cuisine at reasonable prices, then I highly recommend Vasco & Piero's.

From the moment we walked in the door we were made welcome. Attentive but not obtrusive start. Red wine recommendation was perfect. Portion sizes and freshness of food is what stood out for me. Most of our party had sea bass which was delicious. My favourite is always the tuna carpaccio. The staff is wonderfully friendly and attentive and always give a very warm welcome. The restaurant wasn't very busy which is a shame as they deserve to be full every night! Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Restaurant opened as we arrived, which was exact time of our booking, that was fortunate. A little disconcerting to not know what to order ahead of reach restaurant, but menu changes twice a day - novel! Had excellent starter, followed by spaghetti with king prawns which were really excellent - a slight faux pas when I asked for parmesan, the waiter discretely told me you don't have parmesan of fish dishes normally - I will have to tell that to Prezzo! So saying excellent meal, great service (couldn't have been better), and London prices. Would definitely eat there again.
