Most recently DSTRKT RESTAURANT hosted Jay-Z’s best friend Tyran ‘TyTy’ Smith’s birthday party, to which party planner Jay-Z brought Rihanna, Kanye West, Stella McCartney, Rob and Kim Kardashian, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow.

  • "My husband and I went for the £25 - 8 course + Bellini pre-theatre menu. Even at 6pm sitting, you do have to get through menu at quite a pace to make it in time for a 7.30pm show, so, although courses are brought together, you do not have time to languish over a glass of wine with them too. The top table deal was extraordinarily good value. We ate charcuterie, king prawns, fish cake, gnocchi in truffle oil, yellow fin tuna, the softest, richest beef cheek I have ever had. It just flaked off the fork. Everything we ate was delicious and the portion size very generous. The pasta in truffle oil was one of best tasting foods have had in life! The venue is very stylish, more of a club than a restaurant though."

  • "We went for an early dinner last Saturday night. Cocktails were really good beforehand at the bar (had the option of a "dirty" martini, haven't been asked that even at the American Bar at the Savoy). The food we had was good but the dining concept is all wrong. What they serve is tapas of varying sizes which they want to knock out to the customer at their convenience without the inconvenience of having to serve courses at the same time to each table. So if you don't want the tasting menu (£80 + £34 for wine, which is reasonable), and you hadn't anticipated tapas, then your dining experience will be very disjointed. We told our waiter that only two of us were able to eat at a time, he replied "I don't cook the food" which was unhelpful."

I thought it may be a little pretentious but actually the staff were so friendly and attentive - which is quite rare for somewhere so central where a lot of places you just feel like they don't pay you any attention and you are just another customer to deal with but we didn't feel that way at all. We had the 8 course taster menu which was really delicious and great value and the dessert at the end was one of the best I've had on a night out! Would definitely recommend it for a good night out and will be going back again."

  • "Trendy restaurant reflecting that of a hip boutique hotel restaurant. Slick setting with chilled house music playing (with a little dj spin table in the corner) - but was not to loud at all. Service from every staff was great (very well trained and professional) from the moment we steeped in upstairs at the door to our waiters at our dinner table. It could be that we were dining early and were one of the only few tables there but I'm under the impression that they still operate well when busy. Food was delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had the 8 course pre theatre menu toptable deal for £25, which was incredibly worth every penny. Food was Fancy but not too pretentious and surprisingly bigger portions than expected. Overall highly recommended."

  • "Had the excellent Toptable Set menu deal for £25 ph. Superb service throughout, very attentive and not pushy, making us feel relaxed. Nice ambience, although music a little full on at times as a minor grumble. Not rushed throughout and food really nice. Avoid the upgrades available on the menu as they arent worth the cost, keep to the deal and you'll be fine. Set menu includes 2 Bellini cocktails so you could save cash by not buying the £10+ cocktails at the bar. Will be going back."

  • "The place feels like a nightclub that has had a kitchen installed in it as it was not only decorated as such but was too dark, with elaborate chandeliers and incessant dance music throughout our dinner. The tables were far too close to each other and the waiter was far too chatty and intent on being involved in our dining "experience" (call me old fashioned but I like my waiters to be as efficient and as little in the way as possible). The food itself however was quite good. We opted for the £25 pre theatre 8 course meal which was had an excellent variety. The tuna was cooked to perfection, the beef cheeks were excellent and the truffle gnocchi was possibly the best I've had yet. Great selection of wines too."

  • "Had a meal out with the girls to celebrate some birthdays using a TopTable deal which matched wine with each course. One friend doesn't drink wine, which the restaurant were kind to accommodate with a couple of replacement cocktails. Cocktails were great, wine was gorgeous, food delicious & great service. Our waitress even picked up on the birthday theme and brought over our puddings complete with birthday music over the sound system and sparklers in hand. Great touch!"

  • "I visited Yaneff at DSTRKT on a Friday evening with a friend and took advantage of a Toptable special offer. We also spent an extra £10 each to add lobster to one of the courses on the special Toptable menu, although I later discovered that on the main menu its just £3 to add it! I found this really disappointing. Some of the waiting staff were very attentive, some not at all, but the food was absolutely delicious and other than feeling robbed over the lobster, we did have a great evening and I would visit again."

  • "We went through the TopTable 8 course offer. Food: nothing to get excited over. It was okay. Beef salt cheeks very over-salty - so much so that we left that course uneaten. Dessert was nice as were the the yellow fin tuna cubes. Staff: Reasonably good service, although they got the timing wrong by serving the second course while the first hadn't been finished yet - and they don't see anything wrong with that. Ambience: Good decor and very clean. Value: for the money you pay - there's far better offers on the internet within the same vicinity."

  • "I went to DSTRKY with high expectations but came away slightly disappointed. We had the 10 course tasting menu which was quite average with a few high points. The starters were quite forgettable but the main courses were alot better. The beef cheeks were nice but the vegetable sides were burnt and tasted very acrid. The seabass on the other hand was cooked very well and I enjoyed this dish the most out of all the courses. Desert was quite average. Service was outstanding however and I felt we were being looked after very well. Would I come back? Maybe, but only on a TT offer."

  • "I went on a Tuesday night at 6.30pm with a friend and had the 6 course toptable deal. It was empty when we arrived. Waitress was nice but we both noticed that when we refused to add extras to our dishes (truffels etc) and asked her for the champagne cocktail that was part of the deal she cooled off considerably, this doesn't bother me too much, I don't always like over friendly waiters etc anyway! Food was nice, and well cooked. Only course that both of us found very disappointing was the dessert, a chocolate s'more dessert, just seemed sloppy. The steak and trout were both lovely and well cooked. We certainly didn't come out stuff but we did feel satisfied. Overall the meal was nice, I think the ambience would have been better later."

  • "I booked the special offer menu on Toptable which was great value. On arrival one of the courses was beef and so I asked if this could be changed - the staff were very obliging. All was going well but there seemed to be a mix up with the courses and a long gap before the mains arrived to the point where we thought we would miss the start of the theatre production we were going to see. Once again our waitress Angelique was obliging and agreed to us returning to have our desserts after the theatre. It was well worth it as dessert along with all the other courses was very tasty. I was sceptical thinking that DSTRKT would be more style over substance but I was wrong. This place has a great vibe, good food and is incredible value for money."

  • "I took an old uni friend to Yaneff, I wanted to give her a good time and impress her as she doesn't come to London that often. The bar staff were friendly and really helpful, we ordered a bottle of dry white for £22 which wasn't too expensive at all and tasted great. We had great service during dinner. We went for the 6 courses & champers cocktail offer and it was great value and delicious. Wonderfully presented. Really fun. Needless to say, we were both impressed!"

  • "Good food and great atmosphere, the service at the table was good with the waiting staff and sommelier being friendly and informative and attentive. But that was all ruined after we moved to the bar to have more cocktails. The bar staff were distracted with dispensing for the restaurant, we had to wait almost 30 mins at one point for another cocktail to be made, and were dismissive at times. I specifically ask not to make a big deal of my boyfriend's birthday yet big sparkling candle and loud happy birthday music was presented with our desserts. The highlight of service was the sommelier's conversations when each wine was presented."

  • "DSTRKT has the feel of a place that wants to attract globe-trotting, Cristal-quaffing uber-clubbers who think nothing of dropping £1500 for a VIP table on a Friday night. This being a Thursday night and our post-dinner plans being a movie round the corner, our aim was more prosaic: a quick bite and a glass of wine. To be honest, I had chosen the rather pretentiously named DSTRKT for its location as opposed to its gastronomic fame. I normally avoid the area around Piccadilly Circus like the plague. The food here may make me change my mind however. Beautifully cooked and beautifully presented small dishes wowed us with their creativity and flavour. Scallops, tuna cubes and a stunning foie gras terrine all impressed. We'll be back."

  • "We opted for the 12 course tasting menu at Yaneff and informed them I was vegetarian. They said they would be able to accommodate that but all they did was switch out the meat/fish dishes for their small courses on the menu. Instead of getting 12 courses I had maybe 8 or 9 courses as they supplemented two courses for a big pot of cauliflour cheese, etc. The food wasn't anything special - I can't say I was blown away by it but the ambience there is very nice and the cocktails were pretty decent! I'd recommend this place for the drinks and the club, not the food if you are vegetarian"

  • "Fabulous setting for a dinner with friends. Tapas style sharing plates meant we tried a series of dishes. The octopus was divine, and the lamb was delicious. The meals were beautifully presented, and the staff were helpful, attentive but not annoying. The decor and lighting were also a treat. Definitely recommend this restaurant."

  • "Dark and moody ambience with bar and club as well as restaurant. This place is suited to diners who want to carry out the party next door in the club. The restaurant wasn't that busy, it is nicely designed and the food is ok but the menu is pretentious and not varied enough and the food comes at different times and in my experience wasn't always hot. We had steak and cauliflower and some starters. ( hard to find something on menu we liked). The restaurant had just opened when I went and service was quite flappable and sporadic. As a regular restaurant goer I wouldn't recommend this restaurant there are tons of better places to go sorry!"
