A word from Ziloufs
Nestled amongst the chic boutiques and furniture stores along Upper Street in Islington, our modern restaurant with its spacious lounge area is the ideal spot to indulge in a post-shopping cocktail.

Ziloufs is decorated in a warm blend of coffee and vanilla tones with 50s and 60s furniture and influences, perfect for a fun night of dining and dancing. Our chef was trained at one of the most high-profile Thai restaurants in Australia, and absolutely everything on the menu is made on the premises.

The baristas here make sensational coffee, and the barmen do an excellent Espresso Martini.

Four of us ate here and got a mixture of sharing plates and main meals. The food was very tasty and varied and we didn't have a bad choice. Stand out dishes were the beef cheeks and beetroot salad. The veggie is our group was very happy with his choices.

Zilouf's has good food and friendly service. It has a bar at the front of the building and the more restauranty bit is towards the back, which threw me slightly when I arrived, but the food was good and the drinks excellent. It was moderately expensive but this probably reflects the preparation of the food, which is very detailed

Zilloufs have changed their menu to a tapas selection. The options were different and tasty. Only one of the meat options came a bit burned and salty. Aside from that everything was tasty. Would definitely recommend the spring roll and pork tapas. Lovely waitress who made our experience even better. Don't get a lot of those these days. Would definitely go back.

Ziloufs has a nice atmosphere and decor. The menu is slightly strange at times and I wouldn't recommend it to fussy eaters. Their theme is Asian fusion and the menu is to based on dishes to share. The menu is confusing if not explained properly as there are no starters or main courses just small and large dishes. The waitress was happy to explain though and answer any questions we had. We both had steak which was melt in your mouth delicious. There were only 2 dessert options and the trio of desserts we ordered were disappointing and not particularly nice. However, we would definitely come back and would recommend it as a restaurant for friends or couples.

The name (Ziloufs) doesn't really give you a hint that the food is Pan-Asian. We had the wasabi steak tartare (incredible), the pork belly (delish), and the confit duck (yummy). The wine is good value, the music superb, and the service couldn't be friendlier or more efficient. Highly recommended.

I have been to Zilouf's many times, and I am always impressed by the very courteous service and tasty option from a variety of influences. I would not necessarily classify this as pan-Asian, but it does taste good! The beef is particularly recommended

Have been several times to Ziloufs and have had one too many fab. cocktails as well as civilised dinning with groups of friends. First time I had been during the week and with a girly friend. It was a nice atmosphere not too manic but enough of a vibe. The staff were lovely so friendly which always makes the difference and genuinely so. We decided to have the shared dish option for £15.00 each person; was a great deal food was delicious, fantastic combinations of food, simply tasty and reasonable sized portions. We left having had a lovely evening.

Went to Zilouf's on Easter Thursday and luckily got to our pre-booked table in time for the 2 for 1 cocktail offer. Unfortunately as it wasn't stated on the menu, the cocktails must be the same so thinking it would be any we wanted we ordered four different cocktails (two each) and were a bit blown away when the waitress brought over eight all for us! They were very understanding however, and let us choose which four we actually wanted and both were very pleasant with very fresh and clean flavours that cut through the rich pan-Asian food that was tasty but not anything special (although the crunchy salad with the pork belly was scrummy).

Went with a group of six and the food was lovely and we were lucky enough to hit happy hour with amazing cocktails! Everything was really good and we would definitely return. The only negatives were minor- all our food arrived at different timings as a pair of us were finishing another pair would just be getting theirs but when it eventually arrived was all good- and we were sat quite close to the loos, but that can't be helped as someone has to!

At the Highbury & Islington end of Upper Street. Great to get a stylish bar & restaurant along that end. There's a good little selection there now including House of Wolf, a little way along and also The Fish & Chip Shop.. Ziloufs is a smallish venue but packs everything in. Great cocktails at the bar we had Espresso Martinis and were perfect. Food was great and good value during the week. A 20 - 40 something London crowd. Great atmosphere too. Relaxed interior and very cool feel. Loved it!

Recommended by a friend, great service and ambience. My buddy and I had a wonderful time but the food was not impressive, we went for surf and turf which was below average and the sauces seemed to be a derivative of each other. That said wine was good and we did have a great time, clearly they're trying something interesting and simple and that should be applauded. However the chef should bring out a different menu, this didnt work (and please get rid of those sauces).

I had dinner at Ziloufs with a group of girlfriends. Their sharing platters therefore suited the occasion very well. We all found the dishes very creative and tasty, indeed providing a different experience. The service was also extremely attentive and friendly. The only observation I would make is that I felt choices for vegetarians (or even fish lovers) were somewhat more limited than those available to meat lovers.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2009
    Dined on 4/3/2014
Pre gig meal on 5 March 2014. Have been many times before but the new menu has small and large "sharing plates". It's confusing and inconvenient for people who like different things (for instance like / don't like chilli) and so don't want to share. The food was OK (large dish steak and small dish "prawn toast" good but the Som Tum and the beef and lamb in lettuce was dull and didn't capture the authentic asian flavours). Overall for what one got relative to elsewhere the bill was 30% too high.

We are huge fans of Zilouf's. I dare say that if we lived in London we'd be here every Sunday to enjoy what is, without doubt, the best Sunday roast we've tried (apologies to respective mothers). Outside of Sunday lunch, the restaurant specialises in delicious Asian fusion offerings bursting with fresh flavours. The staff are unfailingly delightful, friendly and enthusiastic and a warm welcome and great service are the norm. Highly recommended if you find yourself on Upper Street in Islington. Alternatively just find an excuse and go!

The tastiest Sunday roast I've experienced in London. Given I have eaten brunch here several times before I was pleasently surprised on the quality of the roast. Everything about it was cooked perfectly with all of the veg and accompaniments providing another hit of flavour. I had the lamb rump which was mouthwatering whilst my girlfriend had the pork belly. Both were devine. Would highly recommend.

We went for dinner on NYE. I've been to Ziloufs before and the food is wonderful. Our table was booked for 9pm, we waited an hour for our table. We waited a further 45 mins for our starters, the seared scallops werent cooked and very jellyish still. The mains took another 45 minutes and we didnt finish eating till just before midnight, the wrong order came to the table so there were lots of delays and we didnt finish eating until 12am! The lamb and duck were both extremely rare with alot of blood. We werent asked how we would like our meat. They gave us free food and drink as an apology for messing everything up which was very generous.

Sorry Ziloufs. I love you, your food and the ambience. I have enjoyed your jungle curry many times and salivated over your desserts. I was so looking forward to trying your Sunday roast about which I've heard so much. That is why I booked you. BUT my lunch companion had never been before, although I waxed lyrical about you he did not want to eat a roast, and the alternative centred mainly around eggs. All a little bit too English so soon after Christmas when he wanted something different. I'm sorry I didn't get to try your Sunday fayre. I look forward to doing so another time

This was a greta little find and we loved the food. Very modern take on the Korean Classic Kim Chi and a lovely Seared Salmon. The pink peppercorn bread was great with a chilli dip. My major regret is that due to bad traffic we ended up having less time there than we planned. Will definitely be back with a few more friends.
