Never got to try this place out as it has been repossessed by the sheriffs! Place all boarded up with the notice on the boards. Never got any notifications on this, so it's a good job I went passed the day before & booked somewhere else!

We visited on Saturday 4th June and we gave it a try, on walking in it looked really high class but that's about as high class it gets.
Looking at the menu for being à la carte the prices looked reasonable, but really the food which came out was very small portion's and quality you would find in some pubs, that's why I think it is very overpriced. Staff were friendly but for the price you pay it was like being in our local pub and not a à la carte restaurant experience. For the same price we had paid we could of dined at the art school in Liverpool and got the whole package.

Order our food , was nice but wen my main course came out it was suppose to be a tiro of pork and it wasn't, it had on tail on it and the pork was full of fat. I sent it back and was still charged for it on my bill

Great restaurant, menu is not large but overall you should find something for everybody. Tasty starters that make you want more and main meals are well portioned (chips so tasty). Sweets don't let down the side down either. Staff are extremely pleasant. Overall great value. Would recommend you try this restaurant. We have been twice in one month and looking forward to our next visit.

Turns out there are two "Megan's"....each delightful and with excellent customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed dining here and will be back next time we are in England.

We went as a family for a mid week dinner out at 18 High Street after picking up a flyer for the restaurant a few weeks ago. The early bird menu was superb value and had a great selection to choose from. The food lived up to expectations and we all enjoyed our meals, ending up having all 3 courses! The service was very good, attentive but not overbearing. The only downside we found was it was slightly chilly inside the restaurant but this didn't distract from the food.
We will return, look forward to trying out their afternoon tea!

Food was amazing as always but the restaurant upstairs was hosting a baby shower. It was a little noisy and drafty downstairs with a little boy running around but all in all food was great, service was good and would return

We went for lunch on a Thursday and was quite pleased with our dining experience. Our server Megan was an absolute delight and made out visit memorable. All items on the menu are made in house by the chef who originates from Spain. He came to our table and introduced himself. My husband requested an au poivre sauce for his steak and he went and made it for him at a moments notice. Excellent service! Don't miss out on the sticky toffee pudding. It is the chef's secret family recipe. We will definitely be back!

This was our first visit to this restaurant, we were impressed by the friendly welcome and lovely ambience. The staff were very obliging and service very good without being pretentious.
The quality of the food was exceptional, we ordered scallops for starters served on a pea puree (this included a ring of crispy pancetta and bon- bon of haggis) a lovely twist on a traditional dish.
For mains we both had steak, my fillet was cooked to perfection- it was like velvet, my husband had rib-eye which too was delicious and cooked as requested.
Desert was strawberry cheesecake which was on a bed of bitter chocolate served with a strawberry in a chocolate box, this too was very moorish. Our compliments to the chef.
We will certainly go back again

Visited the restaurant yesterday at 6.30 under the intentions we would be eating from the early dining menu as it is stated on both Facebook and Instagram that the early dining menu is from Thursday-Saturday until 7pm which offers 3 courses for around £20 per person.
None of the staff knew about this they only knew it was on Thursday and Friday so we ordered from the standard menu.
As the restaurant is new the waiter was very nervous and took our drinks away before we had finished them. Overall the service was awkward from both the waiter at the bar and upstairs in the restaurant.
The food was lovely and I can not fault it. Myself and my partner love to eat out and are always happy to pay for good food and service although we did feel slightly awkward since the information on Facebook and Instagram was incorrect causing the bill to be double than what we expected.
The restaurant lacked atmosphere and the prices are the same as the top city centre restaurants such as the bar and grill and the Vincent. I do not believe that the interior, atmosphere or service (at present) is as high standard as the City Centre restaurants therefore I do not think the price range is correct.
The door was open the whole time we waited in the downstairs bar for our table. We arrived early therefore we were seated for 45 minutes in the bar area and we were freezing by the time we went up to our table. There was also no music on when we first arrived in the bar.
I will definitely return to this restaurant in future as the food was really nice and there were a lot of other meals on the menu I would like to try. I will come back to this restaurant in a few months as I think these issues will have been resolved after the teething period.
