Low & Slow Brisket
I eat a lot of BBQ and I think I had the best pork sandwich of my life here. Which is odd because I never think of pulled pork sandwiches in that way, but it hit me mid sandwich that this was possibly the best. The bun, the pork, and the apple cider slaw worked perfectly.
We were visiting from out of town and found this restaurant using a "BBQ near me" Google search. We made a reservation for 2, but ran into another friend, also from out of town, about an hour before our reservation. We took a chance and brought her along. The hostess did not skip a beat in finding us a bigger table. The restaurant was a bit short staffed (I assume because of COVID) but they sent the sommelier out to act as our waiter. He was amazing; very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was outstanding. The burnt tips appetizer and the jalapeno cheese grits were excellent. The collard greens were very well seasoned. The house BBQ sauce (which they sell by the bottle) had a bold slightly spicy flavor.
The portion size was ample, but not so large that we felt overstuffed when we finished. The restaurant had great ambiance. It was really nice to find good BBQ in an upscale atmosphere. We will be back the next time we are in Dallas!
Awesome food and service!!
If you haven’t been here then it’s an absolute MUST! From the appy’s, salad, ‘que, to dessert - wow. 10/10 experience!!
We are from Canada and wanted to try an authentic BBQ restaurant and this place hit all the stops. Everything was made in-house and fall-off-the-bone delicious! If you’re lucky, Blake will be your server and make it the complete wonderful experience!
It was our last meal on our vacation in Dallas and it was very good. The waitress was especially wonderful so nice and friendly and accommodating.
Love this place! Scott the owner, Jerry the manager, Blake, Jason, etc. as servers — these folks make 18th & Vine a great place for KC BBQ (and some very tasty salad options) and a go-to for business lunches in the area
Great bbq. Get the burnt ends for sure
The supply chain is playing a major role in this VERY FINE restaurant maintaining its reputation for being a HIGH QUALITY eating establishment. They did not have my favorite menu item last night leaving me very disappointed.
Wait staff was limited and the one waiter who showed up was so great and personable that we thought he was the owner. The food was just shy of perfection but VERY close. The Old Fashioned was PERFECT. Loved the experience!
Exceptional KC Barbecue! Great location and beautiful building.
Will be back!
Awesome food, although I felt that some of the booths needed a reupholstering.
I love the restaurant. Nice people, the food: Wow!
We are visiting from out of town and We went in for lunch so the noise level was low. Can’t speak for when it’s dinner time. Everything was great! Anybody who’s visiting Dallas this place is a must stop!
Disappointing to previous visits. Food was cold and for KC BBQ not very distinctive. Good service though nothing special. Likely stick to Pecan Lodge in future.
If never had KC style, still worth a visit and may just have been a bad day as the place was empty and likely understaffed.
Good drink and draft menu and nice happy hour deals you can try.
Outstanding barbecue with an incredibly rich sauce. Sides were big enough share. Service was great and mixed drinks were excellent.
Our server was awesome. The barbecue was good but not anything special.
Great service and happy hour deals!
Called twice during the week to see what were
July 4 hours . Told twice open till 6 :00
Our 4 o’clock reservation was met @3:50 with a front door sign saying closing At 4:00. The manager said “we were waiting for you”. The manager seemed to be preoccupied with things , took our drink orders and and went on his way. When our dining friends showed up late and wanted to order , our server was friendly and explained the menu. She was great , the manager was more interested in having us eat and go as someone was coming by to see if our plates were clear so they could remove and look forward to closing . The bbq and sides were tasty and a good value. July 4th was not a good day for this restaurant.
Best BBQ I've ever had - cute place - loved the R&B music
last min. reservation was accepted. the restaurant was so kind, they accommodated a seating change into the bar area. Nice mixed tunes from pop to old classics with a bit of motown thrown in. Drinks arrived ice cold and hit the Friday after a long week spot. Food hot and yummy. Everything was delicious. Thanks for feeding us!
A large party from my company decided to go to the restaurant and were very satisfied
Food was decent, but not to the level it used to be. Biggest issue was walking in, and the server that greeted us told us it would be a hour wait, because we didn’t have a reservation. I opened open table, and booked one for 10 mins later. This was 7:34 and booked for 7:45. Walked back in. A new employee greeted us, went to the server that told us it was a hour wait, and then took the iPad to the back, before the original server that greeted us, sat us at a table that had been available the entire time. I know. That was a lot. The only reason we hadn’t made a reservation prior, was because there were reservations available throughout the entire night, so didn’t seem needed.
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Our waiter Jacoby was awesome - he made several great recommendations and everyone enjoyed their food. The brisket is a must!
Service was slow. Food w
I had a reservation but they were closed for a private party. Makes no sense to accept reservations yet closed. The person who came to the door to explain to me and my guest as well as other customers was very rude and didn't seem to care people showed up to eat and had reservations and just unprofessionally said oh well. Would NEVER go back
Grandson was in town. Before moving, it was one of his favorites.
I know there are wide and varying opinions when it comes to barbecue but I have to give this place an “F”. The Texas Barbecue Association, if there is such a thing, should pull their license. First off, the burnt ends appetizer is a joke. It’s 7 or 8 pieces of what appear to be just brisket soaked in not so good sauce. Not a burnt end. Second, the pit beans reminded me of the can of pork and beans my mother used to server when I was growing up in LA - discussing. And the sausage - really, what is this. It’s nothing like sausage I’ve ever tasted. The texture isn’t even reminiscent of sausage. I would rate the brisket maybe a B+. And for the value, I would say this place rates a “D”. Serving size and cost don’t seem to be on the same playing field. I would recommend almost any other barbecue place in Dallas, and there are a tone of them, before I would visit 18&Vine.
Upscale BBQ at its best! The turkey salad was so unique and the portion was huge. The brisket was extremely juicy!
The food and drinks were quite good and the prices were excellent. The dining room is pretty ordinary, though and the A/C was set too low.
We celebrated my daughter’s high school graduation here. Morgan, our host, was wonderful! She was able to accommodate our party of 15. The food was delicious. The music was right. Overall great experience!
Great bbq. Ribs and brisket were amazing. Sausage was good but not as good as the ribs and brisket. Highly recommend this joint for those that truly love bbq.
Quite disappointing, actually. We have been to 18th & Vine many times and had considered it a family favorite. So much so, that we brought family visiting from out of town to our “favorite BBQ spot.” Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to our expectations. Even though we were only 1 of 3 parties dining in the restaurant, the service was painfully slow. It took more than 10 minutes for them to bring us an empty water glass to drink water that was placed in the table. When ordering drinks it was discovered that they were out of stock on 5 of the 8 beers listed on their menu. When ordering food, they were out of stock on multiple appetizer, side dish and dessert options—at least they had BBQ. All in all it was a disappointing experience.
Great location and atmosphere!!! The fried okra is amazing!!!
Great service. Good place to grab local beers on tap a great barbecue. Always leave satisfied.
The food was good, service started off great until the restaurant got busy. Overall it was great, I'd go back
Good food very nice server. The outside tables are nice.
Morgan was great. Great service and great food.
We had reservations on a Wednesday at 6:30 and were seated promptly but waited almost 20 minutes for anyone to take our drink order and then waited an additional 30 minutes before we received our drinks. Our waitress was very nice but this was not a good experience. I"ll give it another try in hopes this was just an off night.
