Ideal for a post concert meal close to the Wigmore Hall. We arrived at 9pm on a Monday night and were almost the last to leave, at around 10:30, but there was no pressure to finish. Food very good, wine a bit pricy but then this is London. Bill for 3 courses for 3, plus a couple of sides, some drinks and a bottle of wine came to a whisker under £200 including the 12.5% tip.
This is a very good restaurant in a very convenient location in central London. Ambiance is attractive and the food is very good, plenty of flavour and texture, well-presented, delivered warm to the table. Unfortunately, we were not so positively impressed by the service: we got the impression that we were being pressured to finish our dinner in record time, starters were delivered to the table in a flash, service was hurrying us along. Not the best I've ever enjoyed in London
Classically good Italian food, have been there three times and will go again.
Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here after a day of walking the streets of London and catching a matinee. Great quiet atmosphere that seemed to embrace families, couples and singleton dinner goers like myself. Nothing like a great glass of wine with a nice Italian dinner.
Good atmosphere with attentive staff and good food. Glad we booked as many people turned away being a Saturday night. Would recommend highly.
We had a very good lunch at 2 Veneti. The service was excellent and we had a very quiet table in the corner so it was easy to talk. The beef carpaccio was excellent and the snapper special was very good but could have done with some potatoes or more veg with it. My companions enjoyed their prawns and veal dishes but also would have liked more vegetables. We could have ordered sides if advised by the waiter.
This is a great restaurant with very good food, friendly and attentive service and a brilliant if a bit pricey wine list. When we want an evening out this is our place of choice. Indeed, when we converted our civil partnership to marriage this is where we celebrated with close friends. I always feel easy recommending it to friends.
We visited 2 Veneti to celebrate my wife's birthday. The team couldn't have been more welcoming. 2 Veneti is a small but charming restaurant serving fresh, delicious, home made food. The fresh pasta is perfect - in fact, everything we tried (4 people) was excellently prepared.
Wonderful hosts, wonderful food and wine made for a wonderful evening. Thank you.
Not only is 2 Veneti an incredibly fine Italian restaurant, but they are also open continuously from lunch and were so accommodating to us with our infant! We were so happy to enjoy an exceptional Veneto regional dinner with wonderful service and hospital. This restaurant is a must go to!!
Lovely restaurant, good food nicely presented good choice of wines.
I have loved dining at 2 Veneti for many years. I am very sorry to say that the last two experiences have put me off now completely. The first time the manager didn't have our booking on his system, so there was a fuss to find us a table. He was off-hand and probably stressed. This week the food was definitely not up to scratch - the bean soup was nasty and cold and the ravioli was not cooked properly. The portions have shrunk in size. The menu is unchanging. The prices are high. Very sorry to have to give this review as 2Veneti was always a favourite of ours. Does it have a change of managment?
Very attentive service and good food! We will be back !
Varied menu, good wine list, nice Italian ambiance. The time between the starter and main course good be reduced.
I’m Italian and this is a truly Italian restaurant. Perfect for every occasion.
Wonderful food and wine, with caring Italian staff
Didn’t have a great experience sadly. The staff were nice but the food was average at best and very expensive for what it was. Very disappointed.
The quality of food, excellence of both service & wine list ensure that 2 Veneti is a regular venue for me and they continue to delight every guest that I take there. Highly recommended
I went to 2 Veneti on Saturday night and even though I reserved a table in advance me and my partner were seated in the worst table of the whole restaurant: close to the entrance (every time someone arrived/left we would feel the cold wind coming from the outside), and just behind the waiter station were the orders are sent to the kitchen. Also, being rated 4.6 stars, we expected great Italian cuisine quality, unfortunately the food was poor and badly presented. Not going back.
Outstanding, I would definitely recommend it to my friend.
Excellent experience, such attentive staff and the food was absolutely *kisses fingers like Italian chef* - could not fault the meal. Thank you to the staff for really adding to the experience with their truly excellent service despite the full restaurant.
For those interested we had, mixed seafood (AMAZING), Cod (which was just stunning) and a vegan pasta dish of sweet potato with veg and wow - delicious and vegan! Nothing was compromised.
Lovely place. Very reliable for food and good service. Interesting menu - lots of pasta, fish and meat dishes. Wine list very good. This time though was disappointed with a cheaper Gavi.
We come here regularly and the standard is consistent.
Really good service - attentive with being too fussy.
Great casual dining and value for money.
Will be back
Truly and genuinely the best of Italian food I have had this side of the channel! Amazing food, professional staff and superb experience.
Will be back!
I don't think they were expecting us, despite OpenTable booking! They managed to find us a table in any case. A bit rushed.
Nice atmosphere, very attentive but discreet service and very good food. Definitely recommended
Best dinner I had in London so far.
Delicious ravioli and the tiramisu was amazing! I tend to make my own tiramisu and judge the tiramisu of others very harshly but this was better than mine!
A shining light in an area not very well served for restaurants
Ticked all the boxes for a quick meal, promptly served, before the Wigmore Hall. .
Very happy to recommend this classic Italian - lovely food and an extensive wine list
I had tried and failed to get a table at 2 Veneti twice and I was looking forward to going here. Unfortunately, it was mediocre and I've had better dinning experiences at other restaurants nearby.
First the service was very slow - several times I had to get their attention.
Second, the food is generally quite expensive, which is OK as long as the quality justifies these higher prices. This was the case for my main (pasta), but my desert (chocolate fondant) was disappointing and overcooked.
Finally, the ambience was a bit sterile for my liking.
Overall I had a reasonable time at 2 Veneti. It is not outstanding and if I was looking for somewhere special, I would not go here.
Food was fine, but not exceptional, and staff were helpful; but it was annoying to look at my bill later and see that I had been charged for 3 courses when I had only had 2. The small aperitivo I ordered (rather soggy zucchini fritti) instead of a starter was an extra on the bill. Tacky. The bill was around £225 for 4 with only one bottle of wine.
Simple, fresh and good. Perfect italian restaurant
Delicious food, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff were also very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed it a lot.
We had a lovely Italian lunch with truly great service - kind, considerate, professional - even making sure we had quiet table. We certainly would love to return.
Great service and the most fantastic mozzarella aubergine!
very tempting menu and attentive service made for a lovely evening, thanks
A real gem of a restaurant. Outstanding food supported by professional and friendly customer service.
Excellent meal. The sea bass was amazing. So much so that I asked the waiter to commend to the chef.
