33 The Scullery

A little more expensive than I remember (we've been quite a few times, just not recently), service was ok (I think we had a newish staff member serve us) but the food and drinks were very good. A good evening. We will be back.

Second time we have eaten here and it didn’t disappoint. Food and service were excellent again.

Excellent Had a great evening. The expresso martinis were perfectly made. The only tiny comment was that two or three of us would have preferred the duck to have been pink.

Not a great deal of atmosphere but decent food at a fair price.

I was slightly put off by the exterior of the restaurant as it resembled more like a cafe however I could not fault a thing once I was inside. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. A little bit pricier than we normally pay however due to the quality of the food it was worth every penny.

Good food from a simple menu, accompanies by very nice wine served by excellent staff. Would hapily recommend or eat there again.

Absolutely gorgeous Sunday beef roast. Would highly recommend it and will definately be back.

We had a lovely meal at "The Scullery", every dish was served in a nice way and absolutely delicious! Would especially like to mention the liver-dish if you're of that liking! Staff were friendly and great and helped make our evening out perfect! Thank you very much "Team Scullery"!

Delicious food. Nice, small wine list. Maybe the hake could have been cooked a little less? Lovely bread! Scallops super. Very good cheeses.

The Scullery was clean and tidy, the staff were really friendly and the food was fantastic. We would highly recommend the Scullery to anyone who enjoys their food.

We celebrated a 'special birthday' here on Saturday 26 September. The food was absolutely delicious. Each course was fresh, hot, full of flavour and presented professionally.

All the staff wore masks, hand gel was provided on arrival and individual bottles were on each table. And tables had been well spaced out.

The staff were excellent.

If I lived nearer this would definitely become a regular place to eat.

Lived in dtrspatea for years . It was a first trip to the Scullery.
It’s location means the food has to do the talking alone and it sure does .
Go and enjoy it’s. A hidden gem !’

Had an amazing meal with my partner on Saturday evening. The main courses were divine with us sampling the duck and the pork. By far the best main courses we have had for a long time. Really glad we chose to dine here.

Lovely small restaurant very quiet food was ok we all had steak which was nice we were a table of four so we felt we where a bit noisy as all other tables where couples obviously due to covid tables where well spaced out

We really enjoyed dinner here. Food was extremely good quality, tasty and well presented. Service was polite and cheerful, and lovely ambience.

Very good food and service but there were only two tables of two people in the restaurant at the time so it lacked atmosphere not the usual buzz

We've always enjoyed the food and the friendly atmosphere at this restaurant. It was good to find that they're able to continue in the same vein post-Covid.

Lovely food - we had scallops followed by the filet of pork which was yummy, and a wonderful roast lamb with all the trimmings (though it could have done with a Yorkshire pud just to complete it). One of the things I really liked was the veg - not just the usual peas and carrots, but a lovely fresh mix of different veg. We were too full for desert!

We had a lovely meal in post Covid circumstances so ambience was missing a bit but great food & service

My Husband chose the scallops for starter in garlic and lemon. Although he was happy with the taste, he was disappointed to only get three. At £12.95 he thought it was quite expensive. My soup of spring onion with watercress was tasteful.
For main my Husband chose the duck which he enjoyed. I, on the other hand chose the pork in cider with cream leeks which I thought lacked taste.

Very enjoyable visit. Food excellent, full of flavour, attractively presented without being fussy and generous portions. We had different choices but enjoyed it all. Staff were charming, polite and friendly but not obtrusive. We felt happy with the Covid 19 measures taken.
