A bit of a well-kept secret, 34 Mayfair is 150 metres from Oxford Street and 200 from Bond, but far enough away from the madding crowds to be a real “find”.
It’s a really good experience in 34 Mayfair, I think when I go to London next time, I will choose this restaurant again!
I wouldn’t say the food was soo tasty I have to rush back.
Service was good
Ambiance was ok
Never fails to deliver great food and outstanding service
My fav Mayfair eatery
Service was unusually dire and food exceedingly average. My dover sole for example was overcooked. Highly disappointing.
Beautiful lunch on the outdoor terrace. Great service throughout from friendly knowledgeable staff, amazing food and wine. Lovely selection of US Chardonnay.
overpriced and bad service
Brilliant food, service & setting. Thank you so much. You never disappoint.
Great atmosphere, would definitely go back for that but food can be improved
Great meal restaurant was busy and as such a little loud
Our first visit to “34 terrace “. We saw it in construction during our walks in the area .
Nice addition to the restaurant where we had dined many times . Had been also to the private room on first floor .
Friendly staff , good service .
Was expecting a bit more choice on brunch menu available at weekend
Had the lobster roll which was very good. Delicious basket of breads. Hamburger could have been better .
Would recommend and go back
Food was great. Service not so. an ashtray stayed on the table during all dinner with a cigarette in it.
It was a lovely first time experience with my girlfriend. I'm definitely going back
Very enjoyable food. Service good on the whole. Somewhat overpriced.
My first visit but definitely not my last, from the moment we entered the restaurant until we departed the service and food was exceptional, unfortunately my eyes were bigger than my belly and I did not get a chance to try the desserts
Lovely ambience. The staff were really friendly. Good service. It was my friends birthday and they brought her some dessert on the house. Definitely going back!
I had a fantastic time! The staffs were incredible. The meal was top notch! Best chateaubriand I’ve had. Definitely enough for two and the 34 donuts were heavenly!
My husband was very pleased with his birthday meal and the kind treatment from staff. Especially the maitre d’ and the waitress who greeted at the door and spoke to us on the phone (i regret that I cannot remember their names)
The food was ok but the service was fantastic. Our waitress Oxana was nice, sweet and very caring. We felt this place was the right rainy day choice.
Delicious food as always, with innovative cocktails and attentive staff. Never fails to deliver!
Food was outstanding. Cocktail was terrific.
Food still fantastic, but overall experience not up to par. 34 has a different vibe now. It used to be elegant, quiet/piano music, good spot for conversation and guaranteed higher-class clientele and service. Music has been replaced by a way-too-loud house/club style, and with it a new mostly all jeans and sneakers crowd. Service was sub-par (food came out in stages, with steak sauce being 5 minutes after the meat, steak under cooked, asked for a new plate and server never returned, no one offered drink refills).
Entire menu designed around 4 specialty cocktails which was quite clever, yet they were 'out' of the one I ordered (at only 6 pm). One drink order didn't come as requested, after quite a long wait.
Safety standards felt a bit concerning. Glass partitions at every 3rd table were a good addition, and hopefully will be kept post-COVID as it really cut down on the new noise problems. But folks were packed in and tables not spaced 2m apart. Some guest chairs were touching back to back. Majority of wait staff were not wearing masks properly - mouths covered by not noises, with several removing masks altogether when order taking. Most uncomfortable I've felt in an indoor environment over the past week.
Still the best steak in town, but felt as if I was eating it in the lobby of W hotel. Hope it returns to its roots soon. I can eat at the Ivy when I want that vibe.
Great restaurant and food. We did have to ask for the bill three times. If that wasn’t the case it would have been 5 stars.
Lovely place for brunch. Nice atmosphere and attentive staff.
Food wasn’t up to usual standard. Service
Was slow, no social distancing and ran out of basics like
Ive been to 34 Mayfair several times before and always had an outstanding time. Yesterday was something else! First the receptionist spoke to me like I was a 10 year old who didn’t understand English. We were finally seated a short while later. The waiter dropped a fork on my husband - after we had the restaurant’s beetroot salad - so you can imagine how his shirt/pants looked like with beetroot on them. The steak arrived without the side/sauce. By the that they arrived the steak was cold. To sum up, another waiter was cleaning the table next to me, smacked the small lamp on the table - by mistake obviously - but it flew and broke right next to me! Yes, I jumped! Hoping our next visit is better.....
We were barely served, terrible customer service and all the staff looks so moody and our food was not even introduced to us, just thrown onto our table. Waiting for 30 mins to pay for the bill. Food was good but not mind blowing.
Love coming to 34. Great food, great place. There’s no limit on how long you have the table for which is so great because a lot of restaurants only let you sit for 2 hours
Food was terrible! And the service was even worst
We love this place! Have been coming for a few years now and never had a bad experience
Relaxed vibe with great service. Menu has something for everyone
Excellent service lovely food and very happy to re book and return
Fabulous as always. Put chips back on the menu!!
Love this place. Fantastic as always
A lovely room. Short but nice menu. Helpful pleasant staff. A great restaurant in general.
Superb as always but bring back the lobster pizza!
Great to be back !
Excellent service. Amazing staff
Great to be back dining at the 34
No doubt the finest steak in London
Now with a terrace for outdoor dining and very well done
Congrats to the 34 team
Wishing you all the best for reopening next week
We were seated 20 min late and asked to leave 50 min into our meal. The desert was ordered but not served as we were rushed to settle the bill. Disappointing experience. The food was mediocre, half of the menu was not available and the first wine was corked second had sediment. It was meant to be a special day for my daughter's birthday and it was completely ruined.
I will not be coming back.
(Maria the Metre 'D was great and really made an effort but it was spoiled by the rest of the service team, Christmas decoration is probably the best in London shame about everything else)
I have been to the restaurant before and it was a lovely experience but last night ( maybe because of the current situation) they were rushed off their feet. The service was awful. The food was average as was the desert.
The Christmas decoration was absolutely stunning!
Manager who was serving had a severe attitude problem..
