Excellent food. One of the best in London
Perfect food. Love the restaurant.
The guy at the door is the sweetest.
One of the waiters spilled a bit of milk on my mobile.. and he apologized so much and we told him it was not a problem and everything is working. But what was sad was that a colleague of his, another waiter, came in and embarrassed the guy so much in front of us, telling him that he is always clumsy and would be fired for doing that. I personally thought this was so unprofessional and rude. Mistakes happen and nothing was wrong with the phone. Unfortunately, I don’t have the names of those waiters.
The food was outstanding.
What has happened to this restaurant.? It used to be top class. The staff are did interested/ untrained, the service levels were poor and I am no longer a valued customer but someone to be fleeced. Beware.
Excellent looking place..perfect service..large variety menu..very nice price..
Very good as expected
The lobster mac and cheese was execptional!
Really lovely evening with great food and wine. Service was impeccable and attention was just right. The donuts were exquisite and rivals those of Sexy Fish!!
This was a recommendation from a friend who luves in London and was a lively night out. My husband ordered the Lobster Mac and truely the best I have ever tasted. The staff was attentive and helpful, the location was amazing and the Sommelier was fantastic. My only comment were the fake flowers in the decor were not my favorite.
Just always love the happy positive vibe of this restaurant. Service is always very friendly and the food always meets expectations.
The Rib eye -(american) was not a very good portion - not fatty enough- way to salty everything else was good
From the welcome to the goodbye everything about 34 Mayfair was amazing.
Lovely setting in Mayfair with a great atmosphere and a menu that made it impossible to choose!
34 is a lovely restaurant - effortlessly smart but reassuringly relaxed and comfortable, and the staff are utterly charming. Fresh bread with perfect temperature salted butter were a welcome start while waiting for my dinner guest. The menu has a great choice of steak and a good selection of classic dishes as well as some interesting alternatives which led me to order away from my usual suspects - starting with a crispy duck salad, followed by tandoori monkfish and tiger prawn skewers. My guest played it old school with shrimp cocktail and steak and fries, and whilst everything was delicious he clearly had main course envy when he saw mine and I was pleased with my choice. I wasn't quite as tempted by the dessert menu so opted for the salted caramel truffles which actually turned out to be exactly what I didn't know I wanted. The table spacing and allocation is generally well managed but when it's busy the neighbouring tables are a little close if you're having a private conversation. Also, a quick note to the management - maybe a screen and a couple of chairs wouldn't go amiss at the side for the staff break/smoking area.
Sunday lunch with family
Amazing service, the food was fantastic
Booked with 1 month notice and upon arrival was allocated table in front of the piano which would have made conversation challenging and in an area of the restaurant where they generally sit walk ins. i complained given i also mentioned the table was booked as for a special occasion and with large advance. was given the option to wait for a more suitable table which was a good fix from management but that took 45 minutes which was not great obviously.
that said the main issue was with the food. the main was really of very average quality and the raw material was not top notch but really of a level of a mediocre steak house.
food here has historically been very good but clearly something has changed lately and very hard to be inclined to come back.
Very good restaurant, nice food, nice people! Very considerate to help to order food.
'Last minute' lunch booking... 10/10 ribeye on the bone!! Great service.... price as expected for a high end restaurant in Mayfair... but still worth it. Will be back 👌👌😁
Normally love this place .. had a really ‘off night’ though
Service was poor .. found myself twice trying to attract a waiter or any member of staffs attention to get a drink and then for a problem with a dish
Prawn cocktail is normally outstanding .. the prawns were soft & mushy on this occasion.. and was replaced, thank you, with a crab starter which was very average.
Grilled fish of the day was over cooked and at that point didn’t have the patience to send it back.
Steak that my son ordered said it was ok, and the chimmichurri sauce was not how it should be and had horseradish added??
The bill was extortionate for the average to poor quality of food and mediocre table service which is not what you expect at 34. Very disappointed and won’t be rushing back
So many great meals at 34, always elegant and reliable, always just a bit better than the many many alternatives. Shame I can’t always get a table.
My 50th and had a lovely experience
Memorable in every way! Thanks!!!
Always fantastic. Great place to eat on weekends with the family and just as good in the evening for a dinner date. The menu has something for everyone. My husband and son had the Sunday roast which they say is the best they’ve had.... roast potatoes (usually the let down in most restaurants) were excellent. Highly recommended
Worse service than usual but good food
Best steak in London Town!
Steak Tartar is excellent
Lovely venue, good appetiser and dessert, unfortunately the main was so so. Medium veal was fairly well done and not of much taste, hopefully it’s just one-off incidence
Excellent dining experience! Amazing food and great service
Excellent food in impressive but not overwhelming surroundings. Pleasant but disappointingly slow service. Prices hardly cheap but reasonable for quality and location.
Great food and very attentive staff. Very much enjoyed we will be back.
Been to this restaurant a number of times. However this time I had to chase:
1) Offering one of the guests an aperitif.
2) Then had to chase the aperitif !!
3) Had to ask the waiter to refill the wine glasses every time they were empty ....after waiting patiently for a refill from our wine.
4) Then had to chase the coffees.
Overall an enjoyable meal but poor service this time.
Nice brunch at a nice place
Fabulous place ! Great food , a live Pianist, but the waiters should be more attentive They tend to hide in the corner by their ordering station talking to each other when they should be paying attention to their tables.
Good welcome from Reception Host.
Service could have been a little more attentive.
Good food but not great.
Good food and ambiance and great location. Went for brunch on a Sunday and was easy to get to and park.
excellent food and atmosphere, service excellent, dover sole was very nice indeed, many thanks
The only fault I can find, as as a couple we were wedged between other couples for dinner. Didn’t feel comfortable chatting on what should be a relaxing evening. Maybe leave more of a gap between tables as wouldn’t go back as a couple again. Otherwise everything else was lovely, delicious food and lovely staff.
It was a most disappointing dining experience. The food and wine is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. Everything is extra, and the ambience was non existent , overall one of my most disappointing meals out in London. I eat out on business at least 2/3 tis per week and sadly this was one of the worst in terms of overall performance.
