A bit of a well-kept secret, 34 Mayfair is 150 metres from Oxford Street and 200 from Bond, but far enough away from the madding crowds to be a real “find”.

Very impressive meal at a lovely restaurant. Great food and great service.
Outstanding service and food
The best in Mayfair
The food is good. Service is not as good and the place is very loud with chatter. I went for a Sunday Lunch; beef was excellent, Yorkshire slightly overcooked for my liking, not impressed with sliced carrots with peas for a side, cauli cheese was delicious and the roast potatoes were perfectly crispy. Ordered broccoli as an extra side which did not show up until I had completed over half of my meal... I had to ask the waiters twice . It is extremely difficult to get a waiters attention as they just ignore you or refuse to look your way or just rush off and pretend like they've not heard anything- shocking. We also had to experience an extremely loud unhappy customer being seated on the table next to us complaining about being refused a table - this conversation should have been held on the side so it didn't spoil my evening having to listen to it.
Staff at the entrance are lovely and the Wagyu Croquettes are delicious.
I'm in two minds about this place but will give it another shot - let's hope it's a better experience and you don't feel as if they just want the tables turned asap!
Great good. Great service.
Table was ready on time, Ambience was great , Food was fresh two things happened which put me off but were rectified. My Soup was forgotten and had to be cancelled cause maid course arrived. The Lobster Mc Cheese was burned on the surface and was replaced immediately. On that note I will give them a rating of 7/10 cause no complementary desert of drinks were offered for the inconvenience. Thank you
Amazing food and service
The service was intermittent - not all the sides came with the main course was served
Service I know is an issue everywhere but then take less people in the restaurant
Overall still had a great time
Unfortunately it's a bit of a case of all style here and not much substance. Had to wait quite a while for our drinks order to be taken, for gluten free bread to be delivered (despite stating food intolerances in booking), we were given chipped plates, etc. The shakshuka was really nice but my guest had the pancakes and they were very dry.
It was my husbands birthday and 34 is one of his favourites so I booked it for us.
Our waiter Adnan and all the staff there made it extra special - service was excellent and as usual the food great! One of our favourites and highly recommended !!!
Delicious food and the most wonderful staff, love this place!
Lovely Restaurant - beautifully elegant dining room. The staff was kind and engaging. And the food THE FOOD - delicious. We ordered the seared scallops, ravioli, and duck salad as starters. All three are incredibly flavorful but in a very delicate way. Our mains were Chateaubriand for two which comes as a surprisingly generous portion for 2 the wine sauce and mushrooms were perfection. For drinks, alcohol was a vesper martini for the James Bond mood and the alcohol free lychee blossom which is another winner. Didn’t make it to dessert but will be back for sure!
Would highly advise everyone try this place in London - it’s a must!
Great food and unparalleled service
Steaks to die for perfectly cooked and served with a smile
Can’t wait to return I consider this restaurant to be the finest in Mayfair
Always a good choice. No bad surprises…. 👏👏👏
Food was excellent. Fillet steak was one of the best I’ve ever had. Service was good. Although it’s too cramped. Tables are too close together there is hardly any space to get in and tables are not big enough to put all you need on them.
Space them out a bit and sacrifice one or two covers.
Apart from that food was really great.
Good venue , good menu , horrific acoustics so sure the restaurant had a buzz but no one could hear
Very nice place, but too noisy inside. They did not serve thing at the right timing (fries and spinach after 10 minutes I received the steak) and forgot to serve the bread
We were really looking forward to go to this place following advice from some friend. The food was just fine, not really outstanding, we ordered a Argentinian rib eye with veggies but i have had much better elsewhere for cheaper price (very small portions for the vegetables). The worst thing was the price list for the wine . It was just indecent, cheapest bottle was 90 pounds , and the margin was time 7 for most of the wine. Finally and to add to the bad experience, we arrived there at 8:30 pm for an outdoor dinner, they told us that at 10pm they will need to find us a table inside because we could not stay in the terrace after 10pm, but when it was time they just told us to leave without notice, we did not even had time to finish our expensive wine and no time for a dessert. It will be for sure the last time we will go to that place and I don’t recommend it.
Terrible seating location with a feeing of overcrowding. Seat was bashed by passing staff and customers every few minutes. Staff handled the move to a different area of the restaurant well but then we were forgotten about. Food was good but not exceptional.
Very crowded. Tables for two are so close to each other that you can hardly leave the table without disturbing table next to you. Ok, you need to earn money, but if you represent yourself as a good restaurant, make reasonable amount of tables. Food is ok.
Perfect, great service.
The filet was one of the best I have ever had. It was tender, tasty and cooked perfectly. Starting with the borates with fig sauce was satisfying and the honeycomb ice cream finished off my meal on a sweet note. The ambiance was lively and I will definitely return!
Pizza arrived cold. Service isn’t good at all. We asked for a glass of wine but instead they brought an empty glass…
Food was rather tasteless and needed extra seasoning apart from dessert which was very nice. Service was lacking, ladies are being served after men in this establishment. It was my birthday and I was upset being served last as a woman. I would expect better service from a restaurant claiming to be a fine dining. No apologies from management either.
We came here last night for our anniversary and we weren’t disappointed. Starters were sashimi and tuna tartare, followed by a giant shoulder of pork for two, which could have fed four! The menu was a tad on a limited side. For vegans and vegetarians there’s nothing much, and for anyone that’s not a red meat fan, the menu is limited. It would be good to expand this in future compared to other restaurants of this sort. Service was slow to start with but then impeccable. I was anxious, as I had called ahead to put back the table as our train was running late, that we would be a bit late. The curt waitress on the phone was quick to tell me that we would have to return our table at 745pm. Thankfully we weren’t rushed and hurried and the pork, which took an hour to cook, meant that we had a reason not to be rushed. Prices are high but standards are high too. The only thing I would have liked is the restaurant seems to be not keeping up with thr standards of others in the area. The exterior looks great with flamingos on the door! But then the interior looks like it could do with a proper update and freshen up.
Really lovely place, great vibe. Service wasn’t very good, food very fresh. Would come back, but for how expensive it is the service can be improved
service can sometimes be a bit slow (and forgetful) when busy
Great ambience, wonderful service and good food. Repeat customer
I've been here several times and it never disappoints! The atmosphere is great, the staff is attentive and the food is outstanding. I rarely make a trip to London without booking a reservation at 34 Mayfair!
Very buzzy restaurant on a Saturday night. Excellent food. We had scallops (not as big as the Scott’s and Sheekey scallops but still very good with chorizo). The Norfolk chicken was fantastic with the matchstick potatoes, and we had the spinach as well. We finished with ice cream and the peanut butter dessert. Very good food. I got a corner table for two as requested though I felt very lucky not to have a tray of drinks or a food course land on me as they whizzed by out of the kitchen throughout the meal. The restaurant is not hugely spacious and is a rather odd sort of L shape, though it has a certain charm in this regard. There were a lot of staff dressed smartly and exotically, and the service was very good. It was a nice touch to be able to see the rotisserie chickens cooking in the background. I can understand if some people would deem the tables for two a bit close together but I didn’t think it was too bad. I asked what the theme of the restaurant was and was told “international”. Food good. Ambience good. Service good. Will probably be back. Bit of a shame that my girlfriend’s birthday wasn’t marked but they did say Happy Birthday as we left.
A must try! Very Friendly, upbeat, delicious, stylish. You are guaranteed to enjoy your time whether you visit on date, business, family gathering. It really hit all the right spots.
Lovely attentive staff, beautiful interiors. Really good food but bit cheaper!
They added cover charge in addition to service charge. When asked for what they replied that it was for the table cloth and napkin and the bread that we didn’t ask for and so we asked them to remove it they didn’t like it but after we insisted they removed it .
It was good like always
Excellent food and service. As usual the service was impeccable and the steak was outstanding
Another winner from 34. It's my fave London haunt.
Absolutely amazing meal as usual!
Absolutely love 34 and it never disappoints from the food to the service. Can’t wait to go back !
34 always delivers. Great hostesses and food. Table service was very inexperienced two days running. A common problem these days. Will keep coming back though.
My other half and I celebrated our anniversary here and we had a lovely dining experience. The decor and general ambience of the restaurant was really nice (almost like a cross between the Ivy & Balthazar). The menu had a curated selection of dishes which are delicious and well priced. What is a little on the pricey side is the alcohol (although again the quality justifies the price). Would definitely recommend as a treat!
We were celebrating our anniversary and looking forward to a rare night out amidst Covid and selected 34 Mayfair. Having dined here before, we had an idea what to expect, but everything went above and beyond our expectations. From our greeting and table allocation, to the help obtaining a taxi home and everything in between, it was a splendid evening. They even had a rare wine from our anniversary year, which made the meal extra special. Steaks were cut and cooked perfectly (a rarity in London for this former New Yorker), and a special congratulatory treat at the end of the night was a nice touch to cap off the night. All in all the only thing I could fault with was the size of the steak, because I wanted more :-) It’s lively and bustling, so if you want sleepy quiet, this isn’t the place. But for an absolutely fantastic steak dinner, we haven’t found a better place in London than 34 Mayfair.
We had such a wonderful meal. Delicious food and great service!
