Food was lovely and we had amazing service provided by Thomas. Thank you very much we come back again:)
The food was lovely, well seasoned and fantastic quality. The restaurant downstairs has a nice warm feel and somewhere nice to have an intimate dinner. The cocktail are very well made and presented lovely. My only negative would be the service. I had some broken glass at the bottom of glass on the outside, so bits of glass where on my hand and the table cloth. When I shown it to one of the waiters they made out like it wasn’t an issue and thought I was angling for a new free drink, when all I wanted was a new glass. When the new glass came it was slammed on the table and I was made to pour my old drink into the new glass. Having worked in the service industry for over 10 years, I think this sort of service is unacceptable no matter how much you are paying for food and drink. However, this would not put me off from going again as the food was fantastic. The scollops, lamb chops and chocolate sphere were all amazing.
Had the lunch time menu. Wonderful food and excellent value at £20 for 3 courses. So much better than many of the set menus around. Was very quite for a Friday lunchtime, can’t understand why it isn’t more popular.
So lucky to find a truly wonderful, very French restaurant in Manchester. Lived it all.
Absolutely fantastic food - we visited over lunch and enjoyed the 3 courses for £20 which was excellent value. Delicious, fresh cooking and excellent service. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Second time I’ve visited . Food was excellent again and the service was great . The maitre d made sure we were looked after perfectly with a great twist of humour . I will definitely be going back again . The food is also great value and the tuesday tasting menu is a treat .
Food all very nice. Chocolate Risotto a bit weird and while tasty after the five very small courses we all left feeling hungry
Always ace! French greatness in a warm environment
Wonderful food, great service. A special place for a special occasion. A bit too pricey to just “drop in” for a meal.
The place itself is nice and the service is attentive. The food is good on average. Great mains but slightly less good starter and desert. The foie gras is amazing though!!
Overall nice evening.
Excellent food good wine list lovely ambience and good but unobtrusive service. I can recommend the creme brûlée’s.
This excellent restaurant is in the building first occupied by a restaurant, the Market Restaurant. This was started by two young ladies, and was first located in Edge Street. In those days the whole area was a grotty, broken down slum. Now it is a busy vibrant area called the Northern Quarter. The Market Restaurant was like a ray of sunshine. It specialised in Belgian beers and in an upstairs room (now the main part of the restaurant) there was a monthly Pudding Club and a few other occasional specialised meals (we once went to a Russian meal). It gradually declined after being taken over several times. The food in 63 Degrees, the comfort and the setting were outstanding. The food itself was quite exceptional. There was a particularly good and reasonably priced wine list. We would be very keen to return soon, but for two aspects. One is that (with the exception of the fillet steak) the portions were somewhere between small and very small indeed. The other is that overall the service (from a delightful and very helpful teacher who apparently works part time as a waiter) was slow - our 3 course meal took from 7pm to 9.30pm, which is too long. It was a Saturday night, and fairly busy, so maybe the service is better at other times.
I do never mark a 10 out of 10 anywhere
There is a serious reason is nothing can ever be perfect
Unless you don't have an objective
It pretty much reach perfection here . Do not forget about it .. from the view to the Team ...pure brilliance !
This was the most disappointing of our 5 visits in the last 3 years. Service in particular was a little lacking compared to previous visits. Still a pleasant value experience but it's been better....
Nice restaurant for semi-fancy dinner with a good atmosphere. I tried the tuesday tasting menu with wine, and I wish they explained bit more about the wine they serve at least. Overall, it was nice food and nice wine.
Excellent food, great atmosphere. Very friendly waiters, nice french chillout sound. Absolutely recommended.
It was my 12 anniversary, thank you very much for making this experience very memorable. Outstanding Survice and amazing food
The food was very good and our waiter was excellent
We have been eating at 63 Degrees since it opened. It is an oasis in an otherwise uninspiring desert of formulaic eateries.
The menu - which is ever changing - is well thought out and provides excellent choice.
The food is excellent, every mouthful a delight to savour the textures and flavours.
If you do one thing in Manchester it should be to eat at 63 Degrees.
Beautiful little restaurant in the NQ of Manchester, the food was amazing and I will definitely be back.
Lovely little restaurant, great menu with varied choices for all tastes. They were more than happy to do us drinks that weren't on the menu, would definitely return.
Excellent food at reasonable prices served in a quiet, stylish restaurant. We sat downstairs and I would recommend this. Friendly, polite service throughout and a couple of minor mistakes on the order were quickly rectified. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and service, great selection of wines and good advice from our waiter on which ones to select. A bit pricey so a good restaurant for a special occasion
Absolutely lovely evening. The food and service was outstanding. First time at this restaurant and definitely will be back.
This is a first rate restaurant that never fails to delight the many guests I entertain there.
As expected for an authentic french restaurant - the food was absolutely exquisite, we couldn’t fault a single thing. Great wine, great service! We will be back very soon.
Went for Wife's Birthday dinner. Unfortunately we were sat upstairs which was bearlt half full when we arrived for 830 sitting and had only one other couple there by the time our mains came. This meant the atmosphere was somewhat lacking although the background music was present enough.
The service was proficient without being overly impressive. The food was of a very high standard. I had snails, followed by the lamb, while the wife had the foie gras and lobster rissoto , and we shared two sides. Daphenpus potatoes and salad. All was very nice but the three amb chops had at besr six small mouthfulls and the potatoe side was two or three slices of potatoe.
For desert we had chocolate sphere and creme bruce which were also very nice.
All the above with a bottle of red from the more reasonable end of the price range can to 150. While I can't fault the quality the portions were on the small side. Particularly the side of potatoes and lamb.
While I would go back, the cost makes it a special occasion venue and it's lack of atmosphere and value mean it's unlikely to be regular destination
The wine and cheese selection and pudding selection was Devine
Food was absolutely amazing and staff were very friendly, however service was a little bit too slow.
All food excellent good alacarte menu lunch time menu very good value
Excellent. A really great experience all round. Food was great and service professional and knowledgeable. Will be back
What an excellent choice for a 50th birthday! Being a lunchtime table it was very quiet and relaxed. Each dish looked and tasted like a work of art and the wine complemented the meal perfectly. We even got to try out our French! Is a little pricy but would definitely visit again.
Excellent find in the city
Great value for money with the tasting menu
Lovely place food was superb and waiter was very friendly and knowledgable
Delicious as always , great service , brilliant value set menu
Excellent food, wine list and ambience, would definitely go back. Thanks
Best food and service around, very friendly staff and the food is just the best
I took my boyfriend here for his 28th birthday (I did put a request prior that this be recognised on arrival but nothing was done!) my boyfriend had wanted to attend for years now so here goes.. on arrival the restaurant is lovely but sadly I was left waiting to long before I even seen a menu and could order drinks then was offered water which we was never told would cost us (unbeknown to myself and my boyfriend we was charged £9 overall for 2 bottles of water!)
Then the food, well what can I say regarding the food.. it was okay very pricey for small portions and I’ve tasted more flavourful food at Canto (a place and vibe I absolutely love in NQ, highly recommended!) the food at 63 degrees wasn’t the best definitely expected better quality in my eyes it was more presentation than substance in all honesty.
Having a father who is a head chef I appreciate authentic fresh food, and this simply lacked it was more for show.
Now the dreaded part in my whole 26 years I have never been out for food spent £100+ and left hungry, never!
The service was minimal we was never asked if we wanted more to drink and we was somewhat ignored and left.
The place looks lovely but cost personally for ourselves was not worth it.
I will praise it on there take of a espresso martini that was gorgeous (sadly was never offered the option to have more than one as eye contacted and acknowledgement of surroundings from staff was lacking)
Atmosphere was great. Nice music. Good service.
The food is no great value for money however.
Had the langoustines, not good.
Excellent food. Service unobtrusive and courteous, and at the right pace.
