Since Jorge and Maria took over in August 2013, A Torre has transformed its design and menu, it offers a mouth watering selection of the finest Portuguese dishes combining fresh, simple ingredients with a genuine love for Portuguese cuisine.
Jorge trained and worked as manager in some of the top restaurants in the Kent area over the last twenty five years. He says "Our aim is to offer people a place where they can enjoy quality food at reasonable prices in a place where they can sit and relax."
The food is first class, just authentic, quality food cooked to perfection.
We ensure that each visit to A Torre is a special one, you wont be disappointed.
Food was really nice and I will go back. They could do some simple things to make it even better. Nobody checked our food was ok, nobody asked did we want any more drinks, we did not get given or offered any bread which would have made the starter so much better. The food we did get was really good so it's a shame. Could have been a 10/10 but was an 8/10
It had been a long since I had visited A Torre. I thought that when I visited on Sunday that the service/food/ambience would remain quite good. I was wrong. It was BETTER!!!! Everything was better than my previous visits. The food was amazing; and the service; well 12 out of 10. Highly recommended!!!!
Great food and service.
Very good value for money.
Will definitely go back.
The food and the service were great, the owner was ever so kind to our 4 year old, we REALLY enjoyed ourselves!
Went to A Torre restaurant on Valentine's Day with my husband for the first time. The service and food was good, but was disappointed we were unable to order from the main menu. Part of the reason I booked A Torre is to treat my husband to the portuguese fish stew. However, food ordered was tasty.
Great little restaurant run very well by knowledgeable staff. Lovely wine list. Great selection on the menu. Highly recommended
A lovely local restaurant, family run, with tasty food and great service. I definitely recommend this place and will be back.
A wonderful 'local' serving up great food. Highly recommended.
Lovely tasty generous portions. Fish stew paella and lamb chops all very good. Nice service too.
Fantastic food with friendly, great service. Very cosy restaurant and made to feel very welcome. The ‘Portuguese Paella’ was incredible - loads of delicious, fresh tasting fish in and giant pot. One to go back for!
Authentic, tasty Portuguese cuisine in a family run restaurant. The service was genteel and the wine list was excellent. A real gem of a restaurant.
Lovely service and tasty food
A lovely restaurant with freshly made and taste food.
Very nice and friendly. Large portions, tasty homely dishes. Fish stew was very good. Will be back.
Lovely food and choice on menu, quiet for day lunching and good service
Boa comida e bom ambiente. Voltarei
Wonderful evening. Charming restaurant, great food.
Just go there! Excellent in every way. Great food and very friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely meal with great service. Authentic Portuguese food, excellent house wine and generous hospitality. Very good value for money too. Will be returning.
Amazing food and good value, good location as near the station
Took my dad out for dinner on a wet and windy night, food servings were hearty and flavoursome (we all managed 2 courses but 3 would have been a struggle), with a decent wine list.
Food arrived fairly promptly, service was good during the meal (although perhaps a little slow when we were paying).
We like a torre and have been a few times, it’s a great place for family meals and definitely during the winter months when their good portions and rich flavours for the stews and fish dishes come into their own,
Excellent food and service as usual. Best restaurant in Crystal Palace!
A pleasant enough local Portuguese restaurant but be careful what you order; the Francesinha has nothing to recommend it.
This is a great local restaurant. Don’t expect fine dining or table d’hote service...it’s good, simple food done well and served according to the other demands on the limited number if waiting staff...if you accept that and go with the flow there is nowhere better for a friends/family meal out in CP..great food at a good price...
Great family run restaurant. The food is very tasty and hot. The portions are enormous easily enough for 2 people unless you’re starving. Everything reasonably priced. The service is on point. All in all a really good restaurant.
Excellent food and service as always
Yummy seafood dishes! The service is great and the food was delicious.
Really enjoyed our visit to A Torre. Lovely staff, lovely welcome, lovely food. What's not to like? We were made most welcome when we went to A Torre to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We will most certainly be going back. Food was very good value. Restaurant seemed to be receiving a lot of repeat regular trade. If locals are going back, in such a competitive market, restaurant must be good. A Torre was delightful.
My husband went for dinner at A Torre on Saturday night. As usual, the Portugese food was really tasty, especially the Prawn Puree, the Octopus and the sizzling Chirozo, not to forget their house wine, which is so quaffable! Highly recommended.
Delightful as always!
Father’s Day meal. Every course was tasty and well served.
Would have preferred to have traditional Portuguese food rather than the Father’s Day set menu. Food was ok but not what we had booked for
Went there for a family birthday the food & service was top notch. Couldn’t have been happier!!!
We have been coming to A Torre for years. Really delicious food and very friendly service.
We have celebrated many family birthdays here.
Maria makes amazing cakes
Outstanding! Fantastic especially the octopus! Highly recommended
Great food, wonderful and helpful staff and excellent atmosphere.
Great food and service. Great seafood menu. Some confusion over the wine list however. Still, the only authentic Portuguese cuisine in Crystal Palace.
What a wonderful evening....delicious seafood, and steak, and beer and wine and custard tarts...and happy vibes. We haven’t been on holiday for a long time so wanted to have a night out where it felt like we were, and it did. Can’t wait to go back!
First time visit and will definitely go back. Informal, relaxed and enjoyable food.
We were recommended to go here by a friend as the food was so good-it was delicious and good value we thought. The service was a bit erratic which is why we gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, but it was Saturday and busy maybe?A little bit Fawlty towers ,but somehow we excused that as we liked it so much.We would go again.
