Afternoon Tea @ Mirror Room
Monday to Friday: 2pm to 6pm
Saturday: 12pm to 7pm
Sunday: 12pm to 6pm
Great afternoon tea. Sandwiches are especially outstanding.
Our festive afternoon tea was delicious and the attention to detail was impressive. Would definitely recommend any excuse to visit the Rosewoods mirror room as the decor and ambience is spot on.
Beautiful and delicious in every way.
Lovely afternoon in a beautiful hotel. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable
The afternoon tea was delicious and well presented.
It was overall a good tea but the waiting staff removed the plates after the sandwich course before we had all finished
More attention needs to be paid to the cup of tea it went cold very quickly and more hot water cane from a flask that had a coffee smell and taint to it!
The sandwiches were lovely as were the scones
Beautiful setting, excellent service, deserts extremely sweet, more so than others.
Overall however wonderful visit
Truly faultless setting and food however, that was overshadowed by the awful service. When visiting a 5* hotel you expect perfection but sadly this was far from it. Staff ignored you when you tried to get their attention and service was incredibly slow. We were there for a birthday celebration but recieved a “happy anniversary” treat instead.
Excellent English tea. Classic English ambience and service. Sandwich>scones>desserts, wide choice of teas
I felt the service was poor considering the price you then get charged for it. We were kept waiting when we arrived and then had to keep asking for things which I haven't had to do at other afternoon tea experiences. After looking forward to it for a number of months I must say it was overall disappointing and although the pastries are works of art it as let down by the ambience and service.
My daughter wanted to go to the Rosewood for afternoon tea with friends on her 17th Birthday. We arranged a cake for her but it did not turn up! When we found out about this upon picking them up we complained to the restaurant duty manager who said sorry but we were really busy! Still no birthday cake which must have vanished into thin air!
Doubly disappointed because of the lack of birthday cake and zero service recovery. The words unbelievable and gobsmacked spring to mind!
An early birthday treat for our sister, the 3 of us enjoyed the Art Afternoon tea which was carefully depicted by the waiter. He looked after us well and offered another round of our favourite sandwiches or cakes.
We even had a second tea choice and left well watered and fed after a wonderful afternoon of catching up in beautiful surroundings.
Thank-you Mirror Room at the Rosewood London!
Exquisite!! The sandwiches and pastries were delicious. The signature desserts were outstanding but the tea was the most wonderful thing I have ever tasted, particularly the Marco Polo and the Rouge Opera. My daughter was presented with a miniature birthday cake depicting a Banksy painting. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely informative about the teas and pastries they were serving. I would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
Art afternoon tea. Occasion -birthday and they brought out a salted caramel banksy cube with ‘happy birthday’ on and a candle -thank you for that what a lovely touch.
Lovely afternoon tea and venue staff lovely, beautiful food. Would recommend 100%
Service was way too slow. It was hard to track down a waiter
A really great experience. The staff were excellent and the food was impeccable.
On the one hand it is just afternoon tea, but what an afternoon tea. Anyone who likes afternoon tea needs to eat here. From the moment we walked through the door they were friendly and took the time to explain the concept and options. The selection of tea is relatively small, but is actually a perfect selection with something for everyone. Then there's the food; the sandwiches were delicious, scones just melted in the mouth. And of course there is the deserts, and they look even better in person than in the pictures, and I'm glad to say tasted even better. If I had to find a negative point it was that we only got three deserts (one of each) between two of us, meaning we had to try and cut them in half which was easier said than done. But that was a minor point, and as they change the selection every 6 months, we will very definitely be going back.
Superb Afternoon Tea, made all the better by the lovely Alfred. His level of service was outstanding!!
We will definitely be back.
Great ambience and food, but too much of it. Great teas. Next time we would just have tea and perhaps a very small helping of cakes.
Amazing food. The service is amazing. Very expensive but that’s what I expected. Wouldn’t pay that all the time but it was a special occasion. Overall if you’re looking for something a bit special, this is a great choice.
Great idea, great room, nice servic. Dessert entries are amazing: well designed inspired by 20th century artists and well executed, while scones and sandwiches need improvement. Overall a little bit too grand to my taste.
One of the quietest places very relaxing and the service was good the food was unique
We loved it
What a wonderful concept for tea! Our tea experience was inspiring by Rodin. Every bite was carefully curated from the artist’s life. I highly recommend it!
Grand entrance, interesting room - albeit strangely dark and gloomy - downhill from there. Our first waiter was enthusiastic so I upgraded to ‘Wimbledon’ tea, and three in our party of five upgraded to iced teas. About two thirds of the way through, we realized we weren’t receiving any of our 15pound upgrades. We had to chase down another waiter, and then we received six glasses of iced tea and strawberries/cream during our dessert course - which we couldn’t finish or enjoy. There was no apology and no reduction in our bill - really poor showing. I would highly recommend the lanesborough tea over this experience any day.
Absolutely extraordinary! Every moment is living art...from the second you see the creative entrance, to the last exquisite bite of the excellent food. Words cannot express the brilliance of it all...you MUST experience it!!!
Very nice! Amazing afternoon tea time! All original and new! I passed a good moment! Unlikely the card Visa machine didn’t work a the moment of the bill ! Girl stressed for that and I payed manually... not normal for an hotel of this standing... other than that, all was fantastic!
The only comment would be about food which was excellent but too much sweet on the menu. More "salty bouchées"would have been appreciated.
Beautiful setting for afternoon tea, and the service was faultless. The tea itself was delicious overall, but another round of sandwiches or savoury bites would've balanced the sweetness of two rounds of cakes and desserts.
Afternoon tea was so good here! The service was great and you could get refills of the sandwiches and any of the teas. We were so full we couldn’t finish everything.
Went for Rodin afternoon tea. Ambience and service were amazing (as you would expect from a 5* hotel). The pastries were decent but nothing out of ordinary - the Rodin style cakes were good concept but you can see that the actual products were a bit rough round the edges and feel that they are style over substance. Also overall everything is too sweet - might want to adjust the balance so you don't get such a sugar coma towards the end!
Great service, brilliant articulation of how the cakes and the art that inspired them connected one of the very best places to go for afternoon tea
Absolutely amazing experience here for the afternoon tea. Catered to my dairy free requirements without any problems at all - I even got desert! And this was delicious desert, not just sorbet and fruit but cakes and pastries the same as my friends who attended with me. The bathrooms were outstanding, the service was extraordinary & the staff were extremely knowledgeable in order to continue following the art theme. It was a unique, phenomenal and even life changing experience and meant I got to show my American friends a positive representation of London. I couldn't be happier with my experience of the Mirror Room and I can't wait to come back to visit again!
It was very pleasant and nothing went wrong as such but the service was a little slow (hard to get just drinking water topped up) and food descriptions were spoken at speed like a monologue, often not understandable. The savoury side of the food was so so average - a big part of afternoon tea is the sandwiches and they just didn't taste of much at all :-(. The room is fabulous and the scones were FAB tho, so go for it if you like the sweet stuff.
Very mixed feelings about this trip, following an exceptionally good afternoon tea last month a friend and I decided to visit again for their new tea, unfortunately this trip was not quite so good. The sandwiches, scones, and tea are lovely and the cakes were not as impressive as last time but still good. The service however was persistent verging on irritating verging on intrusive with two different people interjecting every few minutes to check on our meal and seemingly trying to rush us through the courses- clearing plates while the other was still eating and bringing new food before we had finished. Would probably return on strength of our first visit and because the food is good, but am not rushing back.
Afternoon tea was great!
Very enjoyable and creative tea in a pleasant and buzzy room with good, but slow service. Beautiful (and tasty) cakes, lovely warm scones and a good selection of sandwiches. Worth a trip and would go again, especially now I know where it is as I got rather lost looking for the room this time.
Great place great food
My fiancé and I had our first afternoon tea experience just yesterday at the Mirror Room during our vacation in London. We couldn’t have picked a better spot. The service was terrific, ambiance was both impressive and relaxed, and, most importantly, the food and drinks were outstanding. We each tried a couple different teas plus a glass of champagne, and all were delicious and great recommendations from the staff. The sandwiches were interesting and very tasty, and the scones and accompaniments were addicting. Most impressive, the art-inspired desserts were beautifully constructed and tasted even better. It was a great way to spend part of an afternoon!
