The staff was so friendly and welcoming. An overall wonderful and delicious experience.
Fabulous tea - superb service and very delicious scones, sandwiches & desserts - with beautiful presentation and very knowledgeable waiters to recommend tea pairings.
Absolutely stunning! As it was the first time having afternoon tea I had thoroughly researched a good location for a vegan version and found out about The Egerton House Hotel. After the third attempt to book a table I felt it was worth from the moment I have stepped in, the place was amazing. Loved the setting, loved the service, love the low music as background and the food? So good it felt unreal, my mother could not believe it! Props to the staff, made us feel so welcome and warm, appropriately asking if everything was alright or if we wanted more tea/food. I got out feeling in a terrific mood and the bill was totally worth it.
Would definitely recommend and can not wait to go back! Once again thank you to the staff!
Absolutely incredible afternoon tea! Stunning location with delicious champagne, teas, sandwiches and cakes. Peaceful environment and great service, from the moment we stepped in until the moment we left. Waiting staff very attentive, but not intrusive, and always had a warm welcoming smile. Would highly recommend to anyone, thank you for having us!
This is an amazing place with an outstanding service. The atmosphere helps you relax and forget about the outside world, the waiters are super nice and polite. The decor as well as the attitude make you feel like a member of a royal family! It's not just about tea but the whole ceremony around it. Will definitely recommend this place for a special occasion, and even if it is quite pricy, it's the price that's worth paying.
Went here for my although the staff was amazing the food on the other hand extremely disappointing. The sandwich where still I seemed to have been left out for too long, the scones tasted like dough, the cakes where hard. It was just not the standard or quality I expect from such a well recommend afternoon tea
Amazing afternoon tea with lovely staff and a cosy atmosphere.
Absolutely loved being able to do something really special and involve the dogs too.
I definitley will be visiting again! Had a great time.
Lovely spot for afternoon tea. The drawing room is beautiful as is the food. Great spread and service very attentive.
The whole experience was fantastic. The food was lovely but it’s the staff and the ambience they created that made this one of the best afternoon teas I’ve been to in London. It was my mums birthday and the hotel kindly made her a vegan cupcake and sang to her without being asked. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Also the concept of afternoon tea for dogs is great!
In one word: Fabulous. From the warm and royal welcome in the stunning Knightsbridge town house to the excisit list of teas and tea infused cocktails if you were feeling like adding a little booze. The food was delicious and on request there was more. The decore was homely, cosy and classy and the chairs were comfortable.
We are looking forward to visiting again.
Absolutely amazing! Literally couldn’t have wished for a better day!
Thank you to all the staff. X
Great way to expose the family to a high tea experience. Food was delicious, service was outstanding, and the ambience was quiet and comfortable. Loved this!
Went here for my Wife's Birthday, such a lovely place and a bit of a hidden gem. Beautifully furnished and the service was fantastic.
Only problem we had though was arriving for our planned reservation at 3pm, almost being seated at a table to be confronted by another party that they were already seated there. This was a bit embarrassing as there were no other seats available - so I'm not sure what went wrong here. We were brought back to the reception to be seated and were taken back into the same overall room as before but taken into a separate room near the bar. It felt really out of sight and it wasn't as pleasant as the main room, only atmosphere was the noise made from the bar! As it was my Wife's birthday, I really didn't want to escalate anything but I asked one of the gentlemen if we could change seating once we realised a couple had left in the main room. He had to confirm, but it was OK overall. This was the only problem which we had and from my personal view it appeared that either they overbooked or someone stayed much longer than anticipated.
Overall the staff were very nice and explained the afternoon tea menu clearly. We are vegetarian and would really recommend the vegetarian menu - delicious! We might try the vegan menu next time to change things up!
I would personally go back, but I would double check in advance if we would be seated without any problems as it wasn't particularly nice to hang about or moved to a different room after booking for a specific time.
Thank you Egerton House Hotel!
What is not to like. ..we arrived late but where meet with the same kindness . The table was just for us two. Tea ..
Staff......place ......all 10 out of 10 .......they also arranged a taxi.for us after a beautiful.glass of champagne. Like I say you only get what you pay for
Our family had a lovely Christmas tea at the Egerton House Hotel. It was a highlight of our trip to London during the Christmas holidays. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the season and the tea rooms were charming, elegant, and cozy. The service was wonderful and the food was both delicious and beautifully presented. Our waiter suggested a number of different teas to complement the various types of food we sampled, from savory tea sandwiches to scones, tarts, and other sweets. It was a delightful alternative to a traditional Christmas meal.
It was a bit too small a room to sit comfortably and we were seated in an awkward part of the bar instead of the tea room. Service was attentive but a little pushy and sadly (as with a lot of hotels) the afternoon tea is overpriced even for a special occasion.
Unfortunately, we didn't have a window table.
First class afternoon tea with amazing cakes and flowerd macarons.
