Great service, great view, will repeat
Thank you - my guests had a fabulous time. The view, the food, the service is wonderful. We keep recommeding this afternoon tea to friends and family.
This is our second visit to Ting and was disappointed how much the service has declined. We were at the table for 45 mins before we even get the menu. For 60 pound per person, there are other restaurants that also has great view with better quality food.
Very frustrated! We had to ask twice for our Champagne, it arrived after we had eaten our sandwiches. We were told just ask for extra teas, sandwiches, cakes etc. We asked for extra sandwiches twice it took half an hour to come! We asked for extra cakes they didn’t turn up before we left. Very disappointing as it was our 43rd wedding anniversary. Been there twice before but not going back.
The location is very good. It is a pity that there is a round cup left on the table. Live piano music is very good. Thank you for the wonderful service for the traveler.
Some of the waiters seemed to be having an off day and were inattentive
Food was ok but not the best tea we’ve had
The ambiance and views were amazing
An amazing afternoon tea! Was for my mother for mothers day. She loved it!
The service was dreadful. A cup of tea was poured, no milk, three requests for milk it never appeared. Therefore cold black tea. Finally replaced still no milk! They say that they will replenish any items some came others did not.
For such an expensive afternoon tea for a special occasion I would give it a miss.
Ham Yard and the NED are so much better
Afternoon tea was stunning, I came in January with my cousin, and I knew I had to bring my mum and my grandma. I don’t think my grandma will ever get over how lovely the view and the atmosphere was, we even got to see a rainbow that went all the way over the water! Thank you for helping me create such a lovely moment for my grandma and mother. 10/10
The most amazing experience, service was outstanding! I took my mum for her birthday and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!!!
Only for the view, very poor found and service , very expensive
The view is incredible, but that's exactly what you are paying for. If you want to have afternoon tea specifically, there are places that serve the experience with better food and a better ambiance. The tea selection is good and it's nice that you can ask for more of anything. Although the second time we asked for a refill on the sandwiches they seemed to have forgotten *shrug*
My experience at The Shard, Shangri-La was exceptional. The staff, service and food was an outstanding experience.
I certainly would recommend the afternoon tea service to any. They cater to anyone who is gluten free, also the view and the pianist playing the piano took the experience to another level.
The view smacks you in the face when you come out of the lift.
Great place to have afternoon tea. The view is amazing. All the staff are friendly in a genuine way. You feel like they truly want your visit to be memorable. Great afternoon in London. Don’t pass up this opportunity.
It’s good experience
A really great experience and lovely afternoon. I would highly recommend it. Service started off very good but tailed off towards the end when they forgot our tea refills (it took 20 mins for it to arrive after chasing) and we had to ask for the bill twice. We had a beautiful view and we stayed for another drink as the sun went down and we saw the city light up.
An amazing experience, very attentive staff, excellent food and perfect setting. Piano music added to the ambience.
The Good: Wide selection of teas to choose from. Staff will replenish pastries, scones and sandwiches. Good view if sat next to the tall glass window.
The Bad: The price is too steep for what you receive regardless of how many times they bring you more of the same food. The staff are often chaotic, confused and inattentive which is the worst part of the experience. Ting has genuinely nothing new or exceptional to offer (given the price) other than piggybacking on the experience of being on a high floor at the Shard. Which you can do at any of the other bars.
We ordered the cake of the day, twice, waited for 30 minutes till we were fed up of waiting and decided to pay and leave.
Bottom line: Go somewhere else where sever and food are much better and worth your time and money.
It was very pleasant and such a calm atmosphere . The food was very nice, great service. I definitely have to come back at night time
We were greeted with a lovely smile and felt instantly at home and relaxed. The service, as well as the view we had was WOW. The food tasted lovely and the desserts possibly the best of my life.
We had a lovely time overall. When we arrived it wasn’t very busy but as the afternoon went on it was and then our service wasn’t as the first half. Having to ask 2-3 times for more sandwiches, then tea. Not as attentive. Nice food though!! It is quite pricey for two hours. Views were amazing
The view here is obviously star of the show but the food and service lived up to expectations. The initial afternoon tea selection did not appear to be that generous but we were offered extra portions of everything although we did have to wait a while for this. The dry ice presentation was a lovely surprise.
Really something quite special. We went for my dad’s 60th birthday. The staff were amazing, impeccable service. The food was very delicious and the tea options brilliant.
We were quite close to the piano so a bit noisy at times, but overall it was an incredible experience and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys afternoon tea or “sky bar” type restaurants.
Very friendly and polite staff. High standard of cleanliness .
Pianist was great but the music was too loud to have a conversation
Memorable, great experience! Staff were superb - friendly, professional and competent. Will come again with pleasure.
You cannot be anything but impressed with view as you walk into the restaurant. The waiter was very good explaining what we could expect. The sandwiches and the fancy cakes were very disappointing. The sandwiches were very limited in choice of fillings and the cakes appeared to be bought in a shop. On the plus side the scones were good and the view was excellent.
It was a great experience and amazing views! The cinnamon black tea was lovely!
Brilliant, brilliant afternoon tea experience from start to finish! Amazing views, amazing service, unlimited food and tea, all in a stunning hotel.
Couldn't have asked for more!
Amazing view and super delicious scones! I was especially surprised that they had lacto-free ones for me :-)
An amazing afternoon tea
Everything was perfect: reception, service, ambiance, suggestions of tea and food quality ! And obviously the view...
It really worse the price !!!
The waitresses even help you to take the souvenir picture
I will definitely come back here
It’s was one of the best afternoon tea experience I had my and my Mrs truly loved it. Definitely will be coming again
Without doubt, the best afternoon tea around! The food was exquisite, the service impeccable and the setting was world class! 👌🏻
Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. The service was exceptional, made even better with a perfect view at sunset. An absolute perfect setting with a loved one.
My husband and I had a memorable time in Ting's Restaurant.
Lovely and friendly staff! Good views and lovely tea, a little expensive
Great staff and ambiance. The view is simply magnificent. The experience was one of the best during my trip to London.
Not a great place to have afternoon tea! The food is not fresh and very bad even though they charge more than any other place for the afternoon tea! The place is very noisy and they never have available tables by the window. The service is very poor and the waiters rude and careless.
Avoid this place!
