We are very disappointed at our afternoon tea. When we come to the Milestone, they informed us at
there was a wedding booked. So we must sit in the pub room, it was very cold there. We have ourselves booked afternoon tea at 15.00 för at least four weeks ago. When we sad to personal at we are disappointed to sit in the pub, they said we can sit in the afternoon tea room. But we must be ready in a 1 hour and 30 minutes. When the tea and sandwiches and cakes come we drink and eat, and when we are finished they ask us if we want to have scones also. We think it was wrong, we should have the scones first and after we eat sandwich and cakes. Nobody told us at we should have scones. It was my women's birthday, so we are disappointed for celebrates and we think it was very expansive for the service and afternoon tea.
Such a nice experience for Afternoon Tea. The service was top notch. They made us feel so special the entire time. I’d definitely return.
Lovely afternoon tea experience. Very gracious and quiet. Perfect opportunity to catch up with a friend or small group.
The place was overpriced. Service wasn’t very good and the food was just ok. The tea was good though.
One of the best high teas I have ever had. Staff were attentive and friendly. A great value for the cost. A nice tea selection, and I appreciated that the food was refreshable, and that take away boxes were available. I would love to return to the Milestone when I am back in London!
Excellent service, very quick and attentive! Food is also good and I like that the scones were served very warm. The decor of the lounge is very classy which makes it an overall very decent afternoon tea experience.
Overall pleasant experience however service was inconsistent and there was broken communication between staff waiting on us. We were reminded multiple times that we had a 2 hour slot which was very annoying.
Beside the delicious cakes we appreciated the attention given by the staff.
We felt special the minute we walked in. They had a few different options for tea and we chose rose champagne. Food was amazing ambiance can't be beat. Loved it.
Best afternoon tea in London! Food was amazing and service was great. The hotel is a gorgeous location and is very close to Kensington palace. If you're in the area and looking for a great tea or lunch spot you must go!
Perfect afternoon tea. We sat in front of the fireplace in a book lined library, it felt very English, historic, grand and quaint all rolled into one. Delicious sandwiches!!
Perfect ambience for a traditional British afternoon tea. Had my 5 year old granddaughter with me and they treated her like a princess. Everything I wanted and more!
It was my birthday and I expected really good service. We were the first to arrive at 1pm and it took them almost 45mins to bring any food !!!
We were told by the manager that it was not a fast food restaurant ! Insult to injry !!
We are well travelled and only go to the best restaurants.
This was NOT up to the standard we would expect from a Leading Hotels of the World group >
Great afternoon tea in London. Sandwiches are nice and scone is also nice. We can enjoy champagne complementaly.
They take their afternoon tea seriously at the Milestone. The entire hotel staff seem geared towards making your visit special. Lovely room, excellent tea, sandwiches, cakes and hot scones. We had the champagne set, which, at 100 pounds for two was fully priced. The problem is too much food - you feel you're overpaying because you couldn't possibly finish everything (and we skipped lunch in preparation). I also felt that the breads used for the sandwiches were a little on the thick side. Still, all these criticisms don't add to much; the overall experience was excellent. We have been a few times over the years and never disappointed.
One of best "tea's" I've been to! Highly recommend!
