Great service with good value food for during hotel stay or even business meetings. We dropped in because of open reservation time closest to us after long day of exploring castles and we loved our experience!
Book this resturant when the fringe was on it was lovely have a delicious meal in a lovely quiet air conditioned environment. Staff were very attentive meal good value
Portion sizes were very poor. Three halves of small potatoes and 4 green beans and the thinnest slice of salmon. We realise it was a busy weekend, but really disappointed
A nice place to hold our office nice out. Great, helpful and friendly staff. Tasty food at reasonable prices. I'd definitely go back and happy to recommend. Nice to have airconditioning on the 1 day a year we need it in Scotland :)
Decent restaurant, set menu good value for money. Very helpful and friendly waitress. I had pearl barley risotto which was good, but my wife while enjoying her salmon did not like the vegetarian haggis. Overall the restaurant was easy to find and not expensive.
Reasonable prices and nice food. Very good service.
Great place was quiet when we went but was mid afternoon, couldnt fault it
Well prepared food and excellent service excellent views over the Edinburgh castle.
Agua is a hotel restaurant
Excellent New Year day dinner at Agua with suoerb food qualitiy, Very competive Price and highley recomended
Staff very friendly and efficient. Nice decor and a place worth visiting.
It was very quiet when we arrived but warmed up. Manager was friendly, warm and accommodating. Food was excellent and the £40 for 2 people for 3 courses inc wine was very good value.
Fab find. Food was so tasty and we are of the special menu which is incredible value for money would highly recommend
We went to Agua for a pre-theatre deal of 3 courses plus a bottle of wine for 40 pounds. Stunning value as the food was first class. Would not normally have booked a hotel restaurant but gave it a chance and was pleased with the quality and portions of the meal. I had the squid followed by Hake and the wife had the spring roll followed by fish and chips. Desserts were also good .Would definitely recommend and will be back to try other options on the menu.
Great value. 3 course meal for two and a bottle of wine for £40. Food was terrific.
Good location. Very good value. Good food. A bit quiet.
Staff tried to be accommodating but the standard of food and food presentation extremely poor Raviolli was returned and two ceasar salads were served with no Parmesan cheese Not expecting such poor standard.
Initial server had no clue about covktails
Loved it! The wait staff was extremely attentive and the food was fantastic. A+!!
Excellent value lunch with friends. Great central location and food and wine were lovely. Will definitely choose here again for a friends get together.
Excellent time, staff lovely. Central for town, lovely hotels
Typical four-star hotel restaurant in the evening: really quiet (just four customers, including me) but good good and lovely service. A strong, traditional menu, and a great value offer. Given the slow pace of the restaurant, a lot of the food is premade and then heated up from chilled. That means the food can be served fast, and perhaps even a bit too quickly. For example, I really enjoyed the frittata as a starter, the dauphinoise potatoes with my main course and bread and butter pudding for dessert: all very nicely made. However, with each course it was a bit disappointing that those things were unevenly warm. On the plus side, we were done with all three courses within an hour of arriving, and they there happy for us to finish off our wine in the bar. Lovely decor and great staff, it deserves to be busier.
Booked a table for husbands birthday, he ordered a burger which came to us within 5 minutes, good we thought but no we were wrong. The burger was not cooked properly practically raw. Was not impressed at all. Ordered again took 20mins cooked.
Food could be better. Sea bass was too salty. Pork belly didn’t taste good either. The only one dish- crispy squid—out of four we ordered was ok. The service was friendly. Location was perfect.
Fantastic food and service!!
As the weather was bad, the restaurant was quiet and initially we thought it was going to feel awkward but there were 3 tables full and was fine. The food was excellent and particularly enjoyed the haggis bon-bon starter and the desserts were amazing! A special mention is deserved by Emma, our waitress who was genuinely friendly and attentive. Probably the best service we've ever had! All of this for £40 for 2 including wine! We would definitely go back!
We were delighted to lunch here, we learned that another large party had just cancelled - their loss. The food was very good and reasonably priced and the service excellent. We were then able to relax in the well stocked bar. We will be back.
Great food and amazing value! Service was great too. Would totally recommend!
Great service and good food offer 3 couses with wine to share was great value
Fab place, great value. Definitely coming back again
We enjoyed out meal but I was disappointed with the fact that a Valentines Dinner ambience was missing! No roses, flowers of any sort or hearts etc.
Went on a valentines dinner here. The food was great! I hadn’t had calamari that good in a long time. Everything was cooked to perfection without too much of a dent in the wallet. The venue was quiet but we were quite early, so if you like a busier room I would recommend going later.
My Mam and I came here for a pre-theatre dinner on a Saturday night. We booked for the wine and dine menu, which includes 3 courses and a bottle of house wine for £40.
I couldn't recommend this restaurant (and particularly this deal) enough! The restaurant was quiet and modern, with a nice relaxed vibe. The staff were all lovely, extremely helpful and friendly, and the food was AMAZING. Excellent quality, beautifully presented, and incredible value for money. We will definitely be back!
I had booked a table for lunch through Opentable. When we arrived, the tables were not set and nobody came to greet us. The staff saw us come in but nobody came to us. We left after 5 minutes
Food was fantastic and service was great!
The restaurant was empty when we got there, and no other diners arrived throughout our meal, so there was little ambiance. The menu was spectacularly over-priced for what was delivered, in particular the seared cod mains were more of an amuse bouche. The staff did a fair job of providing service, but some simple drinks orders (e.g. a pint of lime and lemonade) were not understood despite repeated attempts to explain them.
Overall good food and service with pleasant staff . Reasonable value for money.
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at this restaurant, the food was delicious and the service was excellent, would definitely recommend and will certainly return again!
The food was superb - our waitress was polite & friendly - just a nice place to sit & relax - didn’t feel rushed - totally recommend to friends & would definitely eat there again when visiting Edinburgh.
Quite and nice on a cold Sunday night, food was excellent and the price is good
I would highly recommend Agua Restaurant. We enjoyed the set menu - £40 for 3 courses and a bottle of wine per couple . The food was very tasty with a good range of choices. The service was exceptional and the staff very attentive.
