Miguel was awesome server! Can’t wait to go back.
Joe was an excellent Waiter! He made sure my champagne was fresh and bubbly!
Thoroughly enjoyed my experience and I Will definitely be back again.
Don’t get the crab cake. Deep fried, almost greasy. The tomato jam condiment was a joke. My husband thought it was the Marinara sauce that goes with the fried cheese at Sonic. I thought it tasted like ketchup.
We have eaten here often and really like the restaurant and location and service and food. We just made a bad choice this time. We will be back soon
Great experience felt special on mt birthday! Everyone from the host to waiter made a point to wish me happy birthday.
Amazing food. Great service.
My family of 4 enjoyed our dinner. Staff was really gracious and friendly and the atmosphere was nice
The escargot and tortellini NEVER disappoints, and neither does the Spinalis (that sauce...) amazing service from the valet, hostess, bar, mgmt, and server! Following and maintaining all anti- COVID rules standards and made us feel safe the entire time.
Felt comfortable eating there. Food was great and service was great.
I’m a repeat customer. It’s always a great experience. This visit however was different. Our server was indifferent snd inattentive. There was no offer or visit to the table we hee E n the food arrived to refill our beverages (wine by the glass). We are our entire meal before he checked on us. We then ordered our second round of drinks. Not a typical experience for this place.
I'm generally not one to be negative, but Al Biernat's has such a good reputation that the quality of the food magnified my sense of disappointment in the experience I had. The service and ambience were pleasant. But the food was a strike out on all counts. I had the 1) wild boar appetizer and the 2) chicken piccata with 3) wild mushrooms as a side for dinner. I was disappointed by all three. The wild boar appetizer was tuff and had has lots of fat, to the point that I had a hard time even chewing it. The chicken piccata tasted more like blue cheese chicken fettuccini than chicken piccata. Very little to no lemon flavor. Blue cheese as the dominant flavor in piccata? The mushroom side was the least of my issues, but they were just bland and I found myself wishing for salt or something to make them more flavorful. A disappointment all around. I would have expected much more from a restaurant with such a great reputation.
Antonio was great. We loved the Tomahawk, au gratin potatoes, and mac and cheese. The temperature was perfect inside the restaurant.
First time here in a while and everything was great. We’ll be back!
Not at all impressed. Seated at the time of our reservation and folks who seated us were friendly. That's a plus. Downhill from there. Staff was way slow in taking our drink order. (6 p.m. and definitely not full, so no excuse!) Never asked if we wanted to order an appetizer. Waiter was unusually hyper. Not "I'm glad you're here" over-the-top. Weird hyper. Cursed twice while telling a story to us. Keep in mind I was with my 14 yo daughter. She's heard the words before, of course, but stupid for a waiter to curse in front of a child. Food was average...at best. $249 (pre-tip) for two steaks, mac n cheese (no lobster), another side, two orders of shrimp cocktail (3 per order, and they weren't even cleaned properly), one beer and two half salads. No dessert, no other alcohol. Daughter had a Shirley Temple. I don't mind paying for a nice dinner, but the steaks were overcooked, the mac n cheese was tasteless and daughter's "salad" was one tomato wedge, one slice each of fresh mozzarella and one slice of avocodo. Seriously? Ambiance was terrible! Mismatch of tables, crappy sports memorabilia, and terrible art. Floors looked like concrete that once had tile over it, but the tile was removed and contractor didn't know what to do with it after that. For my money, Neighborhood Services beats this place IN EVERY WAY. We won't be back!
The seafood here is amazing quality, lobster risotto is a must! Great menu variety.
My husband and I visited for the first time for my 59th birthday. Everything from the service to the food was superb. We will definitely be back
Amazing as always.
First time visit for me here. I travel a lot and try to find good dining experiences in various cities and have had several good ones in Dallas. Al Biernat’s is definitely going to be a repeat experience for me. It’s excellent!
Al’s never disappoints! From pulling up to the valet to the last bite of dessert, it is all delightful. Al and Brad run a class establishment and have proven to be adept at traversing this world we live in now.
My date and I shared a steak and lobster tail and, of course, coconut cream pie. One word- YUM. Prepared as expected and tastefully presented.
Keep it up guys- you ROCk!
The food is absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable.
We always celebrate our special occasions with Al and his fine establishment! The Oak Lawn is our “go to”, but hearing good things about the North Dallas location. Either way you will not be disappointed!
This is the first time I have ever sent my food back at Al Biernats, but my scallops were very very salty. When they brought back my dinner the scallops were under cooked, I decided rather to send them back again I would take them home, saute them and enjoy them. Our waiter was okay but not as attentive as we typically experience there.
We will return because the food and service are always exceptional and enjoyable.
We took our son there for Father’s Day . We love Al Biernat’s because they are always so gracious and welcoming and the food is outstanding! It is our to-go place for a special meal!
Amazing food and nice atmosphere. Love going here for special occasions.
Very pleasant experience, just somewhat different now in the COVID-19 environment. A slightly different experience this time due to their social distancing requirements, masks, etc. Food was good as always albeit the wait time at the table seemed longer which might have been on purpose in order to lengthen the dining experience (honestly, not sure). In short, main differences were due to the pandemic and I felt Al Biernat's did its best to insure everyone's safety. Thanks
Such a good experience went for girlfriend 22nd bday and have zero complains. Food, drinks, and service were as good as it gets. Will be here again in the future!
Their filets are always cooked to perfection! We love ordering appetizers on the feature list, never have disappointed. Suggest getting there early for a martini at the bar 🤗
Amazing all the way around, excellent service as usual!!
A perfect evening, planned to honor a very dear friend. The food was outstanding in preparation and flavor: Started with Prosecco and Brad's Gilled Pear Salad; followed with two steamed lobster tails, and shared the soft shell crab and a filet. The timing of service was comfortable and precise; we had plenty of time to enjoy each course, with conversation in between. Thank you, Antonio! One note: The dining room was rather loud, possibly due to the absence of carpet, which appeared to be a temporary situation. Having a booth probably gave us a bit of an advantage, but we did find ourselves shouting across the table at times. Altogether, it was a great experience and my friend is still talking about it 24 hours later.
Our meal was very, very good; however, I didn't fee like it was "excellent" as in times past. That said, I do believe I am experiencing a similar experience in other fine restaurants at this time because of the Covid environment we are in and the restaurants slowly coming back to life. In particular, I have had the best ever asparagus consistently at Al's but these were mediocre at best. Beef was good, but not the usual crusting and thickness as in the past. The martinis, however, were exemplary. In these extraordinary times, a slight falter is no reason not to return and/or recommend the restaurant. I will certainly rebook and return.
Great food & service! Food is consistently good!!
This has been my favorite retaurant in Dallas for years. Known for steaks, they now have a local source for grass fed beef which is better than any they've used prior. The offerings include seafood, lobster, poultry in addition to signature beef. Service is professional, owner is attentive, location easily accessed. In short, the best.
Perfect as always
The oysters Rockefeller were excellent. Lamb chops & filet were cooked perfectly!
We were seated on the patio next to valet parking area which made for great people watching!
Food and drinks were awesome as always! Al Biernat's is our go-to for a great evening out!
My medium rare filet was well done, heavily charred & bone dry. Very disappointing. Meals there have always been good in the past.
It was our first time there, celebrating our anniversary. The table we were seated at had decor that was full of dust. Not something I'd expect at an establishment with their reputation. Also the food was surprisingly mediocre. We informed the hostess of the dust and she just thanked us for letting them know. We ordered the waygu strip excited to try it for the first. And really the ONLY reason we picked this restaurant as it was one of maybe 2 or 3 in DFW currently offering it. It was very meh. Low fat content and chewy.
