Outstanding meal and impeccable service. We loved Al Duca. The ingredients were so fresh - we really enjoyed dinner - from the crab tagliatelle to the tiramisu. And every one of our service people was attentive and charming. We will be back!
Although I told them about our companions nut allergy they didn’t know about it and were not clued up on what had or did not contain nuts so no soft cheese or puddings .Having said that she was safe so happy days
Great food and friendly service.
Excellent restaurant - disappointed I had to point out we booked online and had 20 % off - restaurant should have known as they mentioned the booking on entrance .
Lovely as usual
Perceptive and attentive staff
Exactly what we were looking for.Excellent food perfectly prepared and presented by congenial staff.
Regular annual haunt for past 4 years following an AGM nearby. This year was one if the best so far. Notable was capaccio, liver, all fish mains, crab linguini. Good Italian service too .....
The food was really the worst Italian i have ever had, it was very noisy, we even couldn't hear what we talked but the service was very good.
Nice authentic Italian restaurant. Staff extremely kind and very original menu with proper Italian dishes.
Helpful with coats and bags. Prompt service. Very good food. Not cheap but prices ok for the area.
Al Duca is a very pleasant restaurant well located in the heart of St James'. The food is excellent and the service attentive.
As usual, terrific food, tasty and well executed! Our friends loved the whole experience and expressed their wish to come again soon. 10/10
Great for business lunches. Good Italian food but much more varied than lasagne and spaghetti carbonara. Very reasonably priced for this part of town.
Food was disappointing. Unable to modify the dish inspite of being advised “ no problem we can do whatever you need”.
A nice evening at Al Duca. The staff is particularly nice. It’s a very classic Italian restaurant, a great place for a catch up with an old friend!
It was another fantastic meal at Al Duca on Oct 11 - the starter specials were great, but the pasta dishes were absolutely outstanding.....all 3 of us had different dishes and all were raving about how good they were. Our main courses did not disappoint either - in fact, the cod wrapped in prosciutto was incredible.
This restaurant is one of my favs in London when here on business, which is several times a year. Great wine list, even better food, and a wonderful team to take care of us.
We were a group of 10 before a theatre. Management was very welcoming, food was excellent. The group was delighted with my choice of restaurant.
We choose the restaurant based on Michelin recommended restaurant. Food was really poor. We took as a main course crab pasta, pasta on a plate looked bad and pale, and taste was really pale, almost bad. As a desert my companion took cheese plate, which was huge disappointment, there were only two pieces of parmesan and some pieces of emmental cheese on a plate. I took chocolate fondant, which was like chocolate cake, far away from fondant. Perhaps restaurant does not know what chocolate fondant should be? The restaurant was not crowded, there were plenty of tables free, but we were situated into a table, middle of very loudy ladies, which make us really disappointed to a service of restaurant. Only thing in our mind was to get as fast as we can from the restaurant. I wouldnt go ever again, it wasnt worth it.
Excellent Italian restaurant in West End- good for lunch and dinner.
Excellent service and value for money.
No chance of being ripped off.
Friendly and efficient service. Good range of menu choices. Good value.
The food was absolutely delicious. Excellent service. Lovely atmosphere. Made the perfect pre concert dinner. Would highly recommend it!
Been a few times now, very attentive service as always. The liver wasn't up to its normal standard but still nice.
A wonderful little restaurant with good food and wine, and perfect for conversation without
having to shout. Tucked away behind Piccadilly, but easy to find. Well worth a visit.
My wife and I ate several times when the restaurant first opened, and liked it a lot,we then moved abroad, and caught up with it again early this year. Still good we said!.Visiting London for a week we decided to meet up with a couple of friends there, and we were not disappointed. The food is very good, the portions generous, and the staff are great. The restaurant has a very good wine list with some great Italian names.
Conversation is a little hard due to the volume of noise from the" business lunchers"but that's not a disaster. I would heartily recommend Al Duca.
A meal with long term friends was marred by a very loud crowd at one table, Which made it almost impossible to hear others. We left rather than having dessert for a quieter place. It was disappointing. I have eaten at Al duca before and never encountered such noise.
Not been to Al Duca before. Six of us for an early evening dinner. Completely satisfactory: good food and excellent service. Would recomnmend.
Very reasonably priced restaurant (for this part of town). Good, authentic food that avoids just being an up market pasta house. Good for business lunches. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will visit again.
We had a table for 7 people to celebrate a birthday. Everyone of us enjoyed our meal as the food was very good. The service was a little slow. On arrival we were asked what we wanted to drink but we had not all taken our seats, let alone looked at the drinks menu, so we asked if waiter could give us a couple of minutes. It then took ages for anyone to return to take our drinks order! however we did enjoy our visit to Al Duca.
Great food, great service
An excellent Italian restaurant, delicious food, good service and tablecloths so that one is able to have a conversation.
Excellent venison ragout, beer and wine. Unfortunately, service was slow and the restaurant was not full. Good ambience
Very nice, very Italian place tucked away down a back street, Al Duca provided a good environment and good meal.
The windows to the road open out fully and the wine recommendations were good and inexpensive.
However, nothing really grabbed my attention. Good but not wonderful.
Perfectly suitable for pre- and after- theatre dining. Location set back from the tourist crowds. Standard Italian, nothing bad and nothing remarkable. Average service, possibly affected by the hot spell in London.
I don’t normally leave reviews but I thought this would be good for you to consider. I booked a table we got seated very politely service was amazing for the first 10 minites. Then suddenly everything was rushed, we were outside and there were waiters standing there looking around but not coming to see if we wanted more drinks/to clear plates etc... my steak came with balsamic glaze all over it which isn’t stated on the menu and the waiter was a bit rude about me asking for a new one. Again no drinks or plates cleared while I waited for my new steak. Very expensive for what I think is pretty poor service, food and experience. I used to be a waitress and I know it can be a bit busy but we weren’t one of about 6 tables with one manager and at least 4 waiters. Please take this review into consideration.
My go to Italian restaurant. Never fails to deliver top quality food, superb service in a homely, convivial atmosphere that simply lends itself to good conversation and enjoying life.
I found Al Duca to be freindly with excellent service and delicious food.
One could talk with ease which today is often not easy to achieve in certain restaurants as owners insist on playing bad musac loudly. Here Al Duca appreciate that folks may actually want to talk to one another.
I look forward to the next visit to the area to dine again.
Delightful Italian in Piccadilly area, highest quality dishes, beautiful presentation, and charming staff.
Would gladly return.
Always consistent and great for a Saturday lunch time treat
Al Duca is an old favourite which we booked for our 20th wedding anniversary. It's just as good as ever. Starters (tuna tartare, scallops ) and dessert (chocolate fondant and pistachio ice cream ) were wonderful. Main courses less so - rather dull tuna steaks and heavily oversalted sauce with calves liver. Wine list good. What really makes Al Duca special is the excellent service and the friendly, civilised atmosphere.
Good Italian food. Not too fancy, something for everyone on the menu. very attentive service.
