Really good quality Italian restaurant with excellent wine list mainly good quality Italian wines great location and mid price for quality
Good value- good service good food in an area of London where such restaurants are overpriced
Delicious food presented with warmth.
Al Duca is my new place to lunch. It ticks every single box; the food is excellent, the restaurant is quiet and classy, with mercifully barely audible music, very good service, delicious wines and an extensive choice whether you are vegetarian or not. The pricesare extremely reasonable.
Courteous service and excellent flavours. Good choice of wine.
The spinach and ricotta ravioli was the best pasta I have tasted outside of Italy. Fresh, soft and the filling was perfect. All washed down with a glass of Trebbiano - wish I could have had more, but I had to drive. The Tiramisu was perfect, not too sweet and very creamy. Bill was very reasonable. What a find! Will be back next time I visit the RA.
Excellent food & fantastic service in an authentic atmosphere
Lovely evening and really good food. Al Duca is really back to it’s old self
Excellent service, very good food
Not many vegetarian options
Nice small quiet restaurant with good attentive staff. Pasta is excellent. The beetroot was pickled and is not as we expected. Better. ot to have it. There could be a different starter. The burrat tomotoes qere really hard ie not ripe. There did not seem to be better options for starters.
The mains liver was excellent. Bread was good. Would have been nicer to have warm focaccia. Will go again. Lovely restaurant
Great restaurant in the heart of St James, London. Nice atmosphere, excellent service and great food. The pasta and seafood were really good.
We booked Al Duca - one of our favourite restaurants in London - for my wife’s belated birthday celebration in town. After seeing Six the Musical - also fantastic - four of us had dinner at Al Duca and from the moment we walked in to receive a warm welcome the night was fabulous. The service was prompt but not pushy the wine was excellent and the food was divine! All of the starters were magnificent - my prawns in Campari sauce were stunning - and after I braved the pasta course - another winner! - the mains were equally wonderful. My tuna was perfectly cooked and our daughter’s fiancé’s Chicken Milanese was enormous! The girls had brilliant crab pasta dishes. Really a faultless evening - thanks so much to everyone at Al Duca!
We had a lovely business lunch. Food was exquisite, ambience was just right for a lunchtime. Staff were incredible and attentive at all times. I have been to Al Duca many times and would highly recommend it for lunchtime and evenings.
Excellent food and attentive service, in a well-run and stylish restaurant. Set menu was very good value and the other prices were very reasonable for this part of central London. Plentiful variety of bread, biscotti with the coffee: nice to see these as included rather than extras. Wine list extensive and went beyond the usual suspects. Will return soon.
Really lovely food and staff, would definitely recommend
Another excellent meal, with professional and friendly service in a relaxed and comfortable setting; thank you!
Perfect place for lunch. Friendly staff delicious food and wine and brilliant service. Couldn’t fault it and far cheaper option than a lot of other places in the area.
A lovely lunch with wonderful food and good service. We ate at 2.30 so wasn’t full but it really didn’t matter.
Lovely lunch before the RA exhibition . Great wine
Excellent meal, good service. will be back when next in London
Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere with a good menu.
Friendly, attentive staff, brisk service, a reliable menu of Italian standards enthusiastically presented, sensibly priced wine, with some interesting choices - what is not to like about this Italian with a neighbourhood restaurant feel? And whilst £100 for two for a two course lunch + coffee and a glass of (good) wine each isn't the bargain of the century, it represents value when location is taken into account - just off St James's Square is pretty much prime real estate. Have been going to Al Duca since it opened, and will continue to do so
Great experience! Tasty food, really nice customer service.
Amazing service, all personnel was kind, attentive and helpful in deciding what to eat.
This restaurant ticked all my boxes of outside space not on a main road, very good food and not too pricey (in this prime location). Very happy.
Waiter was coughing and sneezing. Should not have been at work.
A great Italian restaurant. Nice location, good food & wine and a lovely Italian touch that always makes me feel at home.
A good place, suitable located for a work lunch in the Piccadilly area.
We visited Al Duca 4 and half years ago and it was fantastic and always said we would love to return one day as it was previously that good.
However this time round we couldn’t have been more disappointed. The food overall was very overpriced , which you expect in London but for the food we received was quite frankly a joke.
We both had the ribeye steak which is an insult to actual ribeye steaks. The steak was highly fatty and very flat with no taste. This was served with undercook potato wedges.
Although the restaurant was mainly empty the staff didn’t seem to care , had to asked to be served our drinks and they kept coming over to take plates away before we finished.
Overall very disappointed paying over £100 for a meal for 2 for the food and service to be very poor.
We will not be returning again.
Dear George, thanks for your visit at Al Duca restaurant. We are very sorry you didn't enjoy your dinner. Regarding your review we would like remind you that you had: a selection of starter (1 cured 24 months aged ham:1 carasau bread and pecorino cheese ; a dish of deep fried breaded king Prawns with mayonnaise and lime; a selection of artisan bread and two offered welcoming canape' from the Chef) £28.5 Two Rib eye steaks £50 3 glass wines £20.5 plus 12.5% serv
Fantastic little restaurant away from the chaos of Piccadilly Circus. Staff
Very polite . Food well cooked and prepared fresh. Shame they’re so quiet at the moment but it was great for us.
Good to sit outside on a warm, sunny day, in a reasonably quiet street. Good food and service. We would definitely visit again.
Eaten here many a time but this time we went for a friend’s birthday. Food is always great. Everyone loved it, especially with the little tasty birthday treat - thank you :)
This was our first visit
It certainly won’t be the last
Everything from service to food was excellent!
Absolutely love this place - a true hidden gem of Mayfair. The service, the food, the atmosphere is excellent. They leave you alone and yet are always there to help should you need their help. I had business meetings there and took my family for lunches and every time it was a sucess. Highly recmmend.
Great food and friendly courteous staff, but I felt it was a slightly limited menu. This, however, takes nothing away away from the quality of the food, which was delicious.
Consistently excellent food with very attentive service.
Good food, well cooked, pleasantly served and conveniently near my favourite theatre, The Jermyn Street Theatre
Very friendly staff!
We went for our anniversary dinner and the restaurant was nice and well decorated, and the staff were very attentive. The starters were lacking in flavour but The mains (crab and duck pasta and meat special) were great. The tiramisu was too cold meaning the sponge was tough and the pannetone was fine. Everything was beautifully presented but overpriced, and would recommend only for the pastas and meat special.
