Very friendly staff!
We went for our anniversary dinner and the restaurant was nice and well decorated, and the staff were very attentive. The starters were lacking in flavour but The mains (crab and duck pasta and meat special) were great. The tiramisu was too cold meaning the sponge was tough and the pannetone was fine. Everything was beautifully presented but overpriced, and would recommend only for the pastas and meat special.
It's a gem hidden in the heart of Mayfair: the service is excellent, the food is gorgeous and it's much quieter than usual right now. Recommend.
This is a great Italian restaurant. The service is so friendly with an authentic Italian touch of enjoying life that’s so missing in the current pandemic neurosis. As for the food & wine it’s great Italian fare at a very good price! What else is there to say.
Scallops starter very expensive for quantity served
Burrata and tomato -no basil
Mussel sauce with cod looked unattractive
Chicken tasteless-potatoes delicious
Aaffregato -v good
We have been going to Al duca for many years. sadly not as often as we would like to.
At the moment it's quiet due to circumstances. Food remains great and service always very good and attentive.
Everything was perfect - we felt like we were in Italy! We loved the little extras (still dreaming of the chicken aranchini amuse bouche). Above all the service was exceptional. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Wonderfully located in an atmospheric side street in St James', Al Duca is the perfect place for delicious and well priced great Italian classics.
Great friendly place with a lovely atmosphere and amazing food.
I am over the moon that I found this little gem in the heart of Mayfair. The food is increadible: home style Italian cooking at it's best. My absolute favotite is wild mushroom pasta with black truffle.
The service is super friendly and yet totally non-intrusive. You just feel at ease and comfortable. I brought a number of my friends back on various ocasions and they all loved the place.
Highly recommend!
Fantastic - authentic Italian in the heart of St. James’s
Good social distancing, delicious food and charming staff. I didn’t miss the loud lunchtime tables . It was lovely to go back to this restaurant.
This is a central and fashionable restaurant with probably the best pasta in London! Created by an ingenious and talented 23 year old chef who is clearly inventive and passionate about what he does - I couldn't recommend it too highly!!
Seemingly simple Italian restaurant with excellent food and attentive and friendly service.
This is a cozy little restaurant hidden from the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus; if you want a nice, classy yet laid-back place to dine, this is the place for you!
We had an amazing time. Everything was superb: food, service, set up. Will recommend.
We had an excellent meal there (set menu during lunch time). The food was really good. The staff provided 5 star services. We will certainly come back soon.
As always, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding. Al Duca is great value for money in a relaxed environment in the perfect location.
We had a friendly welcome here and an excellent meal. The restaurant was very quiet, having not long reopened after their lockdown, and perhaps as a result lacked a bit of atmosphere, but we can't fault the warmth of the service. In particular, the staff circulating all the tables with offers of complementary limoncello after dinner created a good feeling among diners. My husband rated the tiramisu as possibly the best he's ever had!
Fantastic Italian - proper Sardinian and N.Italian foods.
Amazing flavours.
A joy to be there - if you return to work then eat out here in the evening.
Fresh and characterful food with great service and excellent wine list.
One of our favorite London restaurants. Good food, great location, and a friendly staff make it a place we go back to again and again.
Excellent and considerate service (we were never ready to order as chatting too much !) but staff were understanding and accommodating, not making us feel rushed at all. Good Italian food in smart, friendly restaurant.
Excellent endroit, convivial, à l’écoute des allergies; nourriture délicieuse et maison, très bon choix de vins italiens. Service impeccable et courtois, décor agréable et reposant. Ce restaurant est très bien situé près de Picadilly Circus.
A very nice family restaurant vibe. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would say level of attention was just right. Our waitress was also able to recommend a very nice substitute when the wine I ordered wasn't in stock. Would definitley go again and recommend to others.
Just great food, good atmosphere and a place you just cannot go wrong with for a quiet business lunch or even romantic dinner. In the summer with the windows pulled back I bet it is fabulous
Enjoyed my meal. Food was good but service was a bit slow.
We love Al Duca! Great food, fabulous wine and very attentive staff in a warm and relaxed environment. I only dropped a star as on the last couple of visits, two different colleagues had the king prawn dish and were disappointed.
Very good service and the food was just as I would have expected. Would definitely go again.
Fine Italian food in refined surroundings with attentive staff. Dined there early before a concert at St James's, Piccadilly by the English Chamber Choir.
Great service and very reasonably priced. Excellent quality
we had an enjoyable lunch here, relaxed and unpressured with very personable service
Great Italian in excellent location
If you love Italian restaurants, this is for you. It could not be more authentic. As it happens, when I was having lunch on 12 February, there was some leak coming through the roof, and the alarm was going off intermittently. The point here is that we all just got on with it, the staff were as charming as ever, no one minded, these things happen, and that is the mark of an outstanding restaurant where the loyalty of everyone in the restaurant far out-strips any minor incident such as a leak in the roof and the alarm beeping from time-to-time. It sort of added to all the Italian atmosphere. Thank you to the team at Al Duca and I hope you got the leak sorted!
Top drawer authentic Italian, as ever !
Made very welcome, service was attentive, but not rushed. Food was excellent. Will come again.
A little gem just moments away from Piccadilly. The menu is simple but well prepared and with seasonal specialties. Very friendly service and a wide ranging wine list to satisfy all tastes and wallets. The varied breadbasket with an olive oil dip makes a great aperitif. I then enjoyed the Beef Carpaccio, the Tagliatelle with Mushrooms and Black Truffles, a very acceptable glass of the House Valpolicella and a bottle of San Pellegrino; finished off with a double espresso - all for under £50.
Top notch. Relaxed, understated and professional
Al Duca used to be my local “go to” Italian restaurant when I worked in St James. Delighted to find that after an absence of a couple of years, it’s just as good as ever.
Lovely service and food. Lacked a little ambience but we realise early January is a quiet time and we will definitely return.
