Al Parco Pizza Bar - Camden
The versatile wine list, selected from renowned provences across the world assures a perfect compliment to every meal. Al Parco Pizza Bar has a relaxed, informal ambience whether enjoying a sit-down meal or a fleeting take away visit.
Al Parco is an absolute gem of a local restaurant. A great menu - the pizza deal is fantastic - with good service (though often very busy) and something for everyone. Excellent value for money, fun for anything from a date to a family meal or catching up with friends.
Al Parco is our "go to" restaurant and for every friend we take there, it becomes one of their favourites - great food and the staff are so friendly and attentive.
Amazing food for amazing quality !! Service was a little un observant but that was just minor as they were polite when you got their attention. Will definitely be returning!!
Food is delicious and portions are quite big.The place is nice and cosy with friendly staff.
nice food, and good value, but the service was a bit disappointing. One of the meals came 5 mins after the other 2, and one of which wasn't hot enough.
Overall thought this was a nice Italian place in Camden. The food was nice. The value was good. Instead of the usual pizza express try this one out. It is worth checking out.
Got off to a bad start when waitress told us she couldn't find our booking and then proceeded to tell us the OpenTable offer wasn't valid and maybe we meant to go to their other branch?! Plus we overheard this whole conversation going on between waitress and manager just behind us - and the restaurant was hardly busy, so not like we were stretching them to capacity! Luckily the food somewhat made up for this - starters were good and mains were lovely, decent portions too. Not sure if we'd go back, but made a nice change from usual chain restaurants - though perhaps Camden has other gems to offer that have politer staff?!
Would recommend. Great range of menu. Ideal for larger groups and gathering for birthdays or work occasions. Friendly FOH and kitchen staff.
We booked in for the deal; 3 courses ppn @ £19.95, inc. a choice of 8 mezzes as starter. On arrival, no-one cared that we had booked, & I was later told they didn't have my booking (they did). I'd asked for an accessible table for a wheelchair, but no notice was taken. We tried to confirm the deal, but the waitress didn't speak enough English - cue a long wait for someone else, who confirmed the deal, then as we ordered said we were wrong, & the deal was wrong. A complete disaster, they blamed OpenTable & didn't do any favours at all - offering us a set menu for £19.95, which would have cost more than ordering separately! When the food finally came, it was pretty good, but nothing special and it's just not worth dealing with the service.
This was a venue I'd not yet been to in Camden. There are so many restaurants to choose from. I'd say it was solid and decent, without being outstanding. A nice change from the usual Pizza Express/chain pizza restaurants.
good as usual , always enjoyable and nice staff. nice place
I went on a Saturday night for a pizza as had been craving one all week - its didn't disappoint. Service was slightly slow and had to ask a couple of times for things but I'd certainly go back
visited here with 5 friends and after a bit of a shaky start (it took the waitress 3 attempts to get a white wine spritzer, with soda, correct) the meal was lovely. Although there were 6 of us we weren't kept waiting and the food order was correct as well as everyone enjoying their starters and main meals (we didn't have desserts).
Great pizza place. Enjoyed my time
While the pizza was OK, the wine that came with the "special offer" was undrinkable! The restaurant changed it without quibble but we had to pay the difference in price. Similarly the choice of pizzas for the "special deal" was limited; and the pizza could only be rated as average. Not such a good deal after all. Happily the service was friendly and the ambience was fine.
We were going to a gig and have just time for a pizza, also one of us arrived a bit late but he was served at the same time.It wasnt very busy yet. Pizza was very nice ,we have been 2 times before and enjoyed it.Friendly service.
Popped in after a busy day in town, enjoyed pizzas and a bottle. Staff were helpful, place was busy but not overly crowded. Pizzas were good and I'd happily go again.
We went to this restaurant before a gig at the Jazz Cafe. When we arrived they had no knowledge of our toptable booking but they were able to give us a table as it was not that busy. The menu has a good selection of pizzas and pastas and although the food was reasonably priced my husband and I have had tastier meals in chains such as Pizza Express, Ask, Zizzi etc; we expected more from a local italian restaurant.
If you fancy a pizza in an intimate restaurant in the heart of Camden, avoid the crowds of Pizza Express and go to Al Parco! Their pizzas are better, the restaurant is smaller and quieter and the service is great.
Al Parco, part of Goodfare, is an great place to have some good hearty rustic Italian fare in vibrant Camden. Definitely a place to stop by if you're in the area.
Great little place, lovely pizza!
friendly staff and good food. Would definitely go again!
We had a delicious meal here before heading to the nearby Jazz Cafe. We were delighted to find great pizzas and salads here. We would definitely recommend going here.
A nice little Italian for a casual dinner out. I went with my boyfriend before going to a gig, it had the perfect atmosphere for an intimate relaxing dinner. Comfortable enough to.go.to.after shopping bit nice enough to go.to at the start of a posh night out.
Food was good but pasta I had was tasteless for me. It wasn't a bad experience at all
