Amazing experience !!!
Delicious, fresh, inviting, colourful food. Beautifully presented and served.
A quiet, stylish, relaxed atmosphere and setting and charming staff.
Pricey but worth it for special occasions.
Great food as always, very quiet due to the times.
What an amazing find in the heart of Mayfair. Our first time dining Lebanese and we were blown away with the courteous and attentive levels of service and the food...........oh WOW. We asked the waiter to order for ourselves and it was absolutely stunning and fresh, a real taste of the middle east. We cant wait to go back. A true gem cant recommend highly enough.
Exceptional food and great service! Thank you! I would definitely recommend to family and friends :)
Delicious food with all of the Lebanese favourites on the menu. The Lebanese house wine is reasonably priced and they bring fruit and pastries at the end of you meal. We have been dining here for many years.
Gooddddddd dffhjju ffhjjjj gfghjj
Delicious food and good service. Reasonable prices for Mayfair. We have eaten here many times over the years and prefer Al Sultan to the other Lebanese restaurants we have tried in London.
(18/08/19) Restaurant was nice looking and very empty with the worst customer service you can find.
I reserved a table for two at this restaurant days in advance, when arriving the man told us to pick any table in the restaurant, after we sat down and ordered the owner forced us to move tables because ‘it’s Better’ even though it wasn’t, he placed us in a corner table at the back with half of the table set for dinner, Bearing in mind we booked a table in advance.
The waiter that took our order did not speak at all he just came to the table, took our order down and walked off without saying a word.
The food arrived late even though the restaurant only had a handful of customers. We asked for the bill as soon as we ate because we couldn’t stand to be here any longer, and the waiter came over with a bill of ‘£35’ which was the wrong bill, then he returned with a bill of ‘£81’ which was also wrong, then came with a £71 bill which was also wrong after complaining a couple of times due to charging us for food which we didn’t order they finally gave us the right bill, however still failed to explain why the £2 cover was added as well as having the cheek to ask for service charge. DO NOT GO HERE, avoid at all costs, 100% do not recommend.
Eating at al sultan was by far the worst experience we had with a restaurant in London. Apparently if you do not belong to their “clientele” you are on your own. It was 30 minutes before being asked what we want to eat, another 15 before getting our drinks. We asked for water more than three times and never got it. Food was mediocre and overpriced. All in all, don’t waste your time. There are plenty other Lebanese places in London, so go there and save your time and money. Also forgot to mention, they charge two pounds per person for cover. Without mentioning it of course.
very tasty food and non intrusive service. the mixed grill whilst delightful is only suitable for 1
The most delicious Lebanese food I have tasted in a decade here in London. Outclasses other competing establishments by miles. The service was friendly, attentive and discreet... everything we could have hoped for. It is not cheap but it is not overpriced for the quality and quantity of every portion.
excellent luncheon on Sunday 14th April, which we had booked well in advance to meet and eat with friends. 4 of us in total. complete mixture of dishes, which so befits a Lebanese cuisine restaurant. Good service from Bashir and Eli. our table was near the door with an unusual revolving feature and was a bit draughty, otherwise all was beyond good. i liked the imaginative lighting and wall cladding at the restaurant and will be very happy to return again in the future.
The services was very slow and poor. It was extremely expensive for what it was. Definitely would not recommend to anyone.
AVOID! Rude unfriendly service.
Booked on Opentable and the restaurant did not honour or recognise the booking. So stuck on on Sunday afternoon with two hungry toddlers.
Superb food quality, best Lebanese food we had in London. Wonderful lentil soup, Shekh Al Mehashi special was perfect. Highly recommended. Will be back.
Really good food, great service and lovely atmosphere in central location near Green Park. We were greeted by the charming and handsome Bashir who took great care of us and obviously has a lot of pride in his restaurant. Hummous, eggplant dip and pita bread are delicious, along with other tasty bites. Complimentary baklava at the end of the meal was a nice touch. We will be back!
Nice food as always !
Food and service were excellent. The restaurant gives a complimentary platter of fresh veges to nibble on, which we all enjoyed. Your meal comes with amazing freshly baked bread. The manager gave us complimentary sweet treats. Also in a very good location and restaurant deco is beautiful.
Had a delicious NYE dinner at Al Sultan — the food was super fresh and delicious, the waiter gave great recommendations, and the location was tucked away on a cute little London street we would have never explored if not for this place. Highly recommend!
The food was absolutely delicious! We had a lovely NYE dinner here and will definitely visit again when we come back to London.
I sent a private message to the restaurant about the appalling behavior of their host.
Phenomenal food and very friendly service. Highly recommended.
food great but too much recommended to us really! service good. quite expensive. would go again and order differently
The service was okay but didn’t come with a smile. Lamb was tough and when the mixed grill was £25, not including any sides or rice, I expected a lot better. Tabbouleh though was magnificent, as were the stuffed vine leaves (warak inab) and the chicken wings (jawaneh).
Great find. Wonderful experience - feels really like a home cooked meal, but with brilliant service.
Since 25 years consistently my favourite Lebanese restaurant in London. Great location, great food, good value for money and never overcrowded. So ideal for that business or personal conversation over a nice lunch or dinner
Very nice food and service. Good value for money considering location and décor. Staff helpful and friendly and helped with menu choices.
Friendly staff good recommendations enjoyed the meal!
More expensive than expected!!
Nice service tho. At the beginning it was nice a bit loud however a bit later there was a birthday party and the music was loud and noisy .
Fresh food and great service, good for family and friends
Fantastic restaurant! Looks amazing, very friendly service and the food was top quality!! They have a few things other Lebanese don’t usually offer, jallab and molokhia for instance. Will definitely be back! Thank you :)
We enjoyed our time here
Pleasant atmosphere and tasty dishes
We were disappointed as I had informed you that it was our golden wedding anniversary and nothing special was done for us. This was a shame as we had really enjoyed the meal.
We were looking for a good Lebanese meek in Shepard’s Market, Mayfair London. I wondered why there was so much available in Open Table...what we got was a mediocre meal/ Service/ ambiance, with loud music blaring...we wouldn’t go back again.
The restaurant refused to except our booking via open table and refused to check his system to confirm the booking!
The food is high quality, service professional and friendly, and the ambience classy but comfortable. It's not too noisy, so good for conversation. And the prices are reasonable. Al Sultan has been in business for years, and it keeps to high standards. A gem of London.
Great place to meet in Shepherds market. Lovely restaurant selling authentic Lebanese food and wine. Will definitely return.
Very pleased with the quality of food and good service
Food was very tasty.
Would have liked to know that chef could make a salad with the veg provided at table.
Please can the Chechen be left on bone as whole. Would be even more tasty.
Also cold air from air vent was not pleasant.
