Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester
Another fantastic lunch at Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester. Food, wine and service were all amazing. Have never been disappointed whilst dining there and still one of my favourite restaurants in London.
Worth a very special journey for the very best there is
The service was very good but none of the staffs wear a mask so see if you are comfortable with it.
Food wise, amuse bouche and the starters were good, but nothing special. The main was just acceptable - overcomplexed the boar so any meat with that sauce prob taste the same. Dessert were the highlight, chestnut and yuzu was good, the chocolate was perfect - complex texture and flavours balanced just right, rich, smooth but not heavy.
The drinks were good too. Overall we were happy with the meal.
Decidedly average. Food not 3 star nor service. Wrong order brought. Wine pairing with lunch menu so so. We had a nice time but certainly not wowed.
Absolutely fantastic food, service and wine! Excellent experience for a special occasion.
I have been to many Michelin starred restaurants so had high expectations. I thought the tasting menu was average, none of the courses were unique and I didn’t experience anything new. Don’t get me wrong, it was very tasty but as I sit here a week later writing the review I do not recall a single dish.
Fantastic food and service…but £56 for 2 x 125ml small glasses of House champagne is a bit much!
Excellent service, beautiful restaurant. Food very good but missing that wow factor. For the price point and 3 Michelin stars you expect to be blown away. For example the fish dish was nice but safe.
The level of service and quality of food is as you would expect from an establishment and chef of this calibre, 5 star throughout.
We did the taster, which compared to some of its peers, was a little more expensive, but the courses were well laid out and complimented each other perfectly.
Service was impeccable.
HOWEVER, guys, sort the beer selection out. How can you have one of the finest wine lists around and then *only* serve Peroni (screams mid tier Pizza restaurant, it wasn't even Grande Reserva) and London Pride (anything but, in my opinion)
London is full of great local craft brewers; good grief, even a visit to the local Tesco's can turn up a couple of cracking beers.
Lockdown is no excuse when you can still have a 25 year old champagne on the books.
I can't drop a star because of it, but it was close.
It has been several years since I last went. It has always been very expensive but in the past has been very special as well. Sadly this time it was nothing special and was certainly not worth the cost
We had such a lovely experience, the staff were lovely and the food was amazing. Thank you so much x
Great food and flawless service. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon.
15 year anniversary
We had the best lunch date ever. Food was amazing and service impeccable. Highly recommend
Out of this world! Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester continues to be the best restaurant in London in my opinion.
Excellent meal in splendid surroundings accompanied by superb service. What more could you want - well it was extremely good value for a 3 Michelin star lunch including wine.
Delicious food, excellent service, delightful dining room. Thank you.
Exceptional food in an exceptional restaurant. The service and everything about the dinning experience was out outstanding. We've been trying a few of these types of restaurants since the covid restrictions made getting a table much easier, and I can say that this is by far the best one we've tried.
La fama immortale di Ducasse è ben rappresentata qui al Dorchester. Una grande cena
Nice service and environment
Amazing lunch. Fantastic staff and food just fabulous. Great meal.
Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere!
A lovely setting with excellent food and service
an amazing experience. Great food, great ambience and value for money!
Delicious food, impeccably served in a relaxed atmosphere.
The whole experience, start to finish, was excellent.
The food that we chose was outstanding: taste, flavours, combinations and design
It would be impossible to provide better service!
We were very impressed and a big thank you to the Restaurant for making this such an enjoyable lunch.
After all these years, still the best restaurant in London. We return to Alain Ducasse every time
we return to London, and it never disappoints.
Excellent food and staff.. couldn’t say more
Wonderful time. 3 Michelin stars is fully deserving. After having the Tasting menu here, fine dining is on a whole new level personally.
This is my first 3-star experience in London although I’ve been to numerous 3-stars in Paris and New York every time I’m there. I’d have to say in comparison to the ones I’ve been to, Alain Ducasse does get all the basic elements right. There is nothing to “wrong” with how each plate is cooked and presented. However, now with so many places offering such innovative combinations of ingredients and flavor, the dishes here were just not mind-blowing. In fact, it was almost too basic and started to feel really dull. You can feel the lack of effort of the chef and the team. It’s understandable when you have the reputation and have guests constantly book and come in but honestly, I think they should re-think about keeping up because 3 stars seem quite exaggerated. Service was what you’d expect and the waiters were attentive “enough” but there should have been much more detailed descriptions on each dish. I had to repeatedly ask about what was in the sauce and what I was tasting. The awkward fake politeness was what I definitely paid for. It would be incredibly sad to see them drop to a 2 star but they need to literally restructure everything if they have intentions of staying on board.
Definitely a dinner to remember, the food was amazing, the service superb.
Un tres bon resto rien a redire il vaut ses 3 etoiles completement
I felt the service staff was lacking in experience and coordination. They were very rushed. I opted for the wine discovery too and they were like pouring the wines like no tomorrow bot matching the flow of the customer. I am not referring to amount of alcohol in each glass but I was on my third wine pairing when I was still on my 1st course. After mentioning this to the manager they then slowed down but the experience was less than stellar.
The service provided by the staff was fantastic. Morgane and Javier were brilliant.
The food was very good but I expected it to be mind blowing which it wasn’t.
We still throughly enjoyed the evening and had the pleasure to go into the kitchen and meet the Executive Chef.
Outstanding service and food, really nice ambiance
Beautiful food and impeccable service! Evening was an unforgettable experience!
Excellent and friendly service, food was more than perfect! Expensive but worth the money.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
First trip to London. This is a world class dining experience. Everything is coordinated. We got a quick tour of the kitchen and meeting with the head chef as well as signed menus of the individual menu choices we each enjoyed. Nice touch!
