The three Michelin-starred restaurant Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in Mayfair, traditionally the smartest address in town, represents a new approach to fine dining. Professionalism and attention to detail are always paramount, but there is a new aura of whimsy and pleasure as well. The restaurant’s spectacular, elegant interior - by design team Jouin Manku - and breath-taking dining experience has enchanted London’s gourmets and critics. For most mortals, a meal at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is dining for special celebrations, and the sublime quality of the food and the easy pomp of the service live up to expectations. Favourite dishes include Native lobster, artichoke and Périgord truffle or Cornish turbot, Kalibos cabbage, chestnut and clementine.

The restaurant ambience and service was amazing. The wines were very good. We selected the Discovery wine pairing menu, to go with our 7 course degustation menu. Regarding the food; I expected a much better experience. Three out of the seven courses were excellent, the rest were very flat.

Having dinner here is like having dinner like a king! A true king… you have top service, top waiters, and top metre. It’s very small, soo it’s perfect to make it very personal. Ok now on the food…. I had mostly vegetables… my friends had fish and meat. The food is def to die for, you have to make sure you haven’t eaten in a while… even though it takes 3-4 hours (7 courses) it’s very well balanced, it’s so out of this world. But you will get full very fast. My fav was the lamb and desserts Just be prepared to pay 285 per person, and without counting caviar or truffles, so if u don’t wanna pay extra ask what’s included. And sit back and enjoy this moment

Absolutely loved the food, perfection is an understatement. The offer to meet the chef, was an honour. However, was just blown away at the price of the champagne, and worse, served in a cheap glass. For two glasses of champagne, I could have bought the whole bottle. The sommelier’s accent was extremely difficult to understand, and I felt it was impolite to ask him to repeat himself, so I chose the Champagne, that was the only one I understood! When I received the bill, the only thing that spoiled the evening, was the outrageous cost of the drink,( champagne) otherwise, everything was superb.

Great food and great service from an iconic restaurant. Diverse tastes not always thrilling but overall experience close to perfect. Lighting and ambience can be improved.

Very disappointed with the service. They crashed the plates of the a mouse bouche and only gave two portions. I have been to many three star Michelin services. This felt more like a 1-star. If that. Disappointing.

We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. The setting is beautiful, and the service is outstanding. Several of the dishes were great. Very expensive!! $1,700 for two people.

The staff was amazing, and we both felt like we had the best service we ever had! We also got a chance to meet the executive chef at the end of the meal! Overall, it was my favorite culinary experience!!!

We are high end foodies - we have been to multiple Michelin Star restaurants and this is WAY overpriced, food quality is just okay - not three star quality. Honestly - we think they get their rating because of the beautiful hotel they are located in and not because of the food. Gordon Ramsay’s Petrus blew this restaurant away. The people, the wine, the courses of food and especially the fabulous pastries. I do not recommend going here unless you enjoy paying 1,100 to 1,500 British pounds or more. Go to more one star or two star places.

We really enjoyed our experience at Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester. The service was efficient and the staff very helpful in explaining the various dishes, we had the taster menu. The food was totally outstanding and absolutely delicious. As for value for money we thought it a tad expensive as we have had taster menus before which included wines, but this didn't as was far more expensive. Great experience but perhaps just a one off.
