This is a lovely restaurant very clean, crisp looking decor. Food portions are enormous and taste delicious. Really good value for money and service was faultless. Very attentive staff. Would highly recommend. Great experience.
Booked 5 minutes before arrival. All staff very accommodating. Good service, professional pleasant staff and good quality food.
Atmosphere good food not hot just warm, seems to take ages for drinks when ordered
Very attentive service from Jason.
Lovely food and good choice of gluten free foods too.
We found the noise levels excessive even we were sat as far away from it as possible.
Nice place, vibrant atmosphere if a little ‘young’.....(detracted slightly) food very good but not wow. Went as read it was voted 2nd best restaurant in Manchester but not IMO.
Always an excellent standard
Food and wine were both fabulous and my friend got his Mushroom Rolypoly which he’d been longing for!
It didn’t disappoint!
Thank you all.
Visited Alberts for a birthday meal with my husband and son. Choice on menu very good. Quality of food excellent and very attentive service. Very good value for money.
Went there for a birthday and the service was great, not sure of the waiters name but they were very thoughtfull bringing complementary prosecco for the birthday boy and myself and a slice of cake with a candle for desert. Food was gorgeous and service was fast. Will definitely be back!
Brilliant service as always, food was delicious! Would definitely recommend.
Great service, great food and excellent value for money!!
First class as per usual. Food lovely and a lovely atmosphere even during working hours. Our waiter Jason was on top form and nothing too much trouble.
I always feel drinks are a little expensive, but worth the extra.
Never been before - but heard good reports from friends. It was a lovely 2 course lunch.
We’d definitely go again!....
Really enjoyed the food here, steak is excellent. The atmosphere was great but our table was right near the front door and it was so cold, I sat with my coat on for the whole meal!
Thank you for your review Joanne, I am sorry that you had a chill from the entrance, we are facing intermitted problems with the heaters in the door area. I will certainly pass your feedback onto the management team , Karen
Lovely brunch, lovely atmosphere but you need to change your menu on Bottomless Brunch online as it says it includes tea and coffee. I ended up having to pay extra because on the day was told I was wrong. So two brunches, only one alcoholic drink and two coffees cost £60! Bit pricey even for Didsbury.
Thank you for your review Puds, I can confirm that the bottomless brunch does indeed include bottomless tea and coffee during the time which you are dining with the bottomless menu. I'm very sorry that you were quoted incorrectly during your visit I will certainly speak to the team again and ensure that they know what is included. Please would you mind replying to this message letting me know what name your booking was under and what time your booking was for, Karen
We had another lovely meal at alberts on sat.
We had the lunch special.
It was just the right amount of food, and was delicious!
The staff were fantastic- as always!
Attentive, informative, always on the ball.
And not forgetting the chefs who produce delicious food.
We love alberts!
Keep up the good work everybody!!
Table ready; busy but no delays nor were we rushed. Nice food and wine
Good overall, service just a little slow. Had to ask what the soup and fish of the day was and for extra menus’s.
Albert’s always has a consistently good standard across all their restaurants which is why we choose to go back there. Today for lunch the atmosphere was not too noisy (as it sometimes is on busier evenings) and the lunch menu represents excellent value.
Although we had an enjoyable evening, with food it's usual good standard, the service from both our waiter and head waiter was surly. We got the impression this was not a happy place to work.
Thank you for your feedback Anne, I will certainly pass your comments onto the management team as the staff are very happy working at Albert's but if they were having an issue that particular day they shouldn't be passing that feeling to the customers. I'm sorry if this made you feel uncomfortable, Karen
Alberts Didsbury is my go to spot when I want good food, great service and a lovely enviroment to catch up with friends. This time did not disappoint. In fact I can't think of a time when I've ever had a bad experience at Alberts. The service is attentive without being overbearing. The food is always delicious - generous portions and reasonably priced. And the decor is lovely. I always recommend Alberts Didsbury when people ask me where to go locally - and it's my personal go to spot when going out with friends and family.
Exellent Food , all worth the money. Friendly dly and on the ball staff. Would definitely return. The drinks were also lovely everything felt very freshly prepared.
Our first visit to Alberts and was really impressed.
Even though the restaurant was full we didn’t have to wait long for the food.
Sunday lunch was excellent and very good value.
Gorgeous food, exemplary service. Fabulous atmosphere.
Fabulous waiter great service and the food was exceptional
We were a family of 5 adults and ate from the lunch/early supper menu which was excellent and also very good value. As it was a Friday we also treated ourselves to 2 bottles of LP champagne (half price on Fridays) - all in all a lovely evening. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful (Jason) as were all the other staff. We will definitely return - my son and daughter in law have just moved to Didsbury from centre of Manchester and we regularly went to Albert’s Shed and are delighted with Albert’s at Didsbury too.
I come here as it’s my local and it’s just a minutes walk from my home, it’s is certainly home from home for me. The staff the food and the welcome is always wonderful. My most favourite restaurant in Didsbury.
Lovely setting, nice food. Would def recommend. Went for my husbands 50th birthday. He had food envy as I had a steak and he went for a pizza!
We, ie 6 ladies, met for lunch and a catch-up. The staff were very accommodating, polite and helpful. My only disappointment and suggestion to improve, what was otherwise a lovely meal, is to ensure the temperature of the food is hotter. Both my courses were just warm. Otherwise everything was fabulous. It hasn’t put me off returning to the restaurant though.
Thank you for your comments Genie I have passed your feedback onto the head chef. I am really glad to read that you will be visiting again soon, Karen
One of the best dining experiences in Manchester. Highly recommended.
Love this place go a couple of times a month with my mum always a lovely meal and the lunch time menu 2 courses for £12.50 is good value.
Our meal was somewhat disjointed. The sides came wrong with our meal so we were eating the meat without the correct sides and by the time the correct sides came, we had finished our meat. We did report this at the time to the management team who kindly discounted our bill, but it did ruin the overall experience of the meal
Thank you for your review Kevin, I'm sorry to read that you did not enjoy your dishes fully, but I am glad to read that a manager spoke to you on the day, Karen
Not a good visit this time, the service was terrible, one friend had to ask 3 times for cutlery, another friend asked for mayonnaise but never got it and I had fish, chips and mushy peas but had to send the peas back twice as they were cold...the server didn’t apologise once !!
Please accept our apologies for the issues which you received during your visit Tilly, these are not the standards which we set here at Albert's. Would you mind replying to this message including what name your booking was under, what time your booking was for and your email address, so that we can investigate further and address these issues, Karen
Excellent food and excellent service as usual. Great menu and half price on champagne
Outstanding, the food, service and whole experience was wonderful
The restaurant wasn’t very full and it was freezing, we told staff but they did nothing about it on New Year’s Day In January. As an Alberta fan it was quite a let down and made us want to leave quickly.
Thank you for your feedback, I'm very sorry if the restaurants was too cold. We do have underfloor heating as the main heating source, we may have been facing a few issues with that on the 1st. I'm sorry that it meant that you did not feel that you could stay for very long. I do hope that this experience will not prevent you from visiting again in the future, Karen
The food was good quality. Cooked and seasoned just right. We were a party of 9 and we mostly each had different meals so got to taste much of the menu. The food was not outstanding though - it delivered what was promised it a good and efficient way, but not more. Would eat there again as I'd be confident the food will tick the right boxes
Been to Alberts many times, always good food and service.
Tables are too close together as dividers are low, so not very private.
We went to Alberts Didsbury for the New Years Eve package at £75 per head. Overall we thought it was great value. The service (given how busy it was) was fantastic, the staff worked really hard and were really attentive. The food was excellent and the atmosphjere was great. We thoroughly enjoyed it so thank you to all the staff for making it such a great night
Me and my other half had the best new year so far. Food was lovely, great customer service and a relaxed feel. 10/10!
We went to Albert's for my birthday meal, a party of 12. We ended waiting almost 2 hours for our main courses, some of which were then cold. We asked for condiments that we didn't get and the chocolate volcanoes were missing their lava - possibly because by that stage of the night, they'd run out. Basically, it seemed as though there weren't enough waiting staff for the number of diners. A real shame as we love the ambience & had enjoyed eating there as a couple previously.
I’m really sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at Albert’s during your visit Victoria, Please would you mind replying to this email with your email address so that we can investigate this further.
