Albert's Shed Ratings and Reviews
Great service and delicious food. Good to see the menu changes regularly so you get to try different things. The £12.50 lunch menu is good value and very interesting. Loved the mini bangers and mash starter and the Albert's Fish and Chips. Good sized portions and beautifully presented. Bottle of pinot was £18 which is what you would expect to pay so happy with that. The service was excellent with friendly and helpful waiters. We didn't like our table and asked to be moved which they were happy to do without any fuss. I would definitely recommend and definitely re-visit. Thank you to Albert's Shed !
Booked this a good few weeks before going. Received a telephone call day before enquiring if all ok and any special requirements...a good touch I think.
We arrived sndcwas very quickly shown to our table, the waiter was extremely helpful on both drinks and good menu and get a close eye on us during the meal ensuring all ok.
The food, oh my goodness it was delicious , we had the sharing starter and all had different mains, the fish and chips, lamb, venison, cheese and onion pie, and pizza. All excellent with good size portions. The desserts again wonderful, the cocktails wonderful.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to a return visit.
Successful evening celebrating a friend's birthday. Scallops and sea bass beautifully cooked. We all commented on how hot the food was which we all appreciated and is so often an issue at other restaurants. Service was warm and friendly. Lovely festive feeling. Large party nearby but they did not affect our enjoyment in any way. A very well run establishment. Will be back.
Lovely evening, food was fantastic and service was second to none. Young lady at front of house a credit. Finished the night sat drinking cocktails on the heated terrace next door. Will definitely eat here again when next in Manchester and will recommend everyone try it you won't be disappointed. Xxxx
Seven of us dined at Alberts on the occasion of our wedding anniversary. Staff were aware of our various dietary requirements, and were at pains to point out the options. Everyone enjoyed their meals, our server, Nosheel, was friendly, attentive, polite and very efficient. He knew it was our anniversary without being told, and produced 2 glasses of complementary Prosecco. We will certainly be back. GarthC
Lovely place well organised for meet and greet and very helpful in every way. Seated at table immediately and given plenty of time to chose from the menu which was very varied. Didn’t feel rushed at all and the staff were very friendly . Would definitely go again
I booked this restaurant after reading previous reviews. My husband and I always struggle at this time of year to have a romantic meal for our anniversary as the restaurants are fully booked with office Christmas parties. But I mentioned in the booking comments that it was a special occasion and the staff seated us the best/quietest table and gave us a complimentary glass of prosecco each. It was a lovely touch and really impressed us. The food was good, especially the chateaubriand for two and the staff were so attentive considering a lot of the restaurant was filled with large groups.
I would definitely return when back in Manchester, thank you for making our evening special.
This restaurant, is my FAVOURITE restaurant in Manchester. Its a family owned business and my friend and I go often. The menu changes frequently, so if your a returning customer there are many new options.
If your a soup fan this changes on a daily basis.
As you enter you are greeted by a member of staff, who will find you a table. ITS BEST TO BOOK THOUGH as its very popular.
There is some gentle music at lunchtime, ideal for relaxing .
The lunchtime menu is £12.50 and you certainly get your monies worth for this.
Drinks are reasonable and you are served by waiters who, every time there is an addition to the menu, they have to taste them and can explain and you can decide for yourself.
Linen tablecloths and serviettes start the very comfortable experience. The first time we went I was not sure if we would get in, as it looks quite posh. Excellent for a date if you want to impress your partner.
Another major plus is they have a LIFT to take you to the toilets downstairs so again disabled access is here for you. And they are always immaculate.
All the above are reasons to visit this fantastic restaurant Trust me.
And don't just go for fish and chips, be adventurous, ask your waiter for suggestions . You'll love it.
Alberts shed is one of my favourite restaurants. Whenever I meet up with family or friends for lunch this is my first choice.
The menu is so varied whatever your preference in food.
There is n excellent lunch menu for a reasonable price for two courses.
The food is beautifully presented by very pleasant helpful staff.
I always look forward to returning here.
Visit Manchester about twice a year and nearly always visit Alberts Shed. Always had a good meal but during the last 18 months or so it has gone from very good to mediocre. This visit proved it has gone back to it's best. Our waiter Ethan provided exceptional service and the food, hake and lemon sole specials were exceptional.
After visiting alberts shed in March this year with my sister in law for a birthday treat, and finding the food divine. We decided on our yearly visit to Manchester Christmas markets that we would take our partners to experiance the fine dining. They absolutly loved the place and said it was the best restaurant they had ever eaten in.We all intend to revisit very soon.
Really enjoyed our meal here, was over in Manchester for the match and booked here for dinner the night before. Really great food, service was great (Ethan I think his name was) great waiter! Loved the decor and seating, overall really enjoyable and would return.
