The food was delicious as always, the only thing I could complain about on our recent visit was the food needed to be warmer. Everything else was very good as always.
Fabulously tasty food and healthy portions to go with it
The food was delicious, I had the special monkfish. The start of a great night.
First time st Alberts shed , had 2 for £12 , Food was amazing and service was very good and helpful
First time here and very impressed. Staff friendly, everywhere spotless and food outstanding. Best steak in a long while and the Malayan chicken was so tasty. Will definitely return
Excellent food and service would definitely go again when in Manchester
Stunning food and great value as dined from lunch menu.
Fabulous as usual. Top quality food at an excellent price. We love it and go several times a year.
Fabulous food and the service is fantastic could not ask for more love it there would go every week if possible only I don’t live local. Tell all my family and friends how fabulous the food and service is 👌
Such a lovely place to eat, easy to park however i am aware in summer it may be busier. Nice surrounding and a great varied menu. Had 3 courses and a bottle of wine along with soft drinks and it was well under £80.00 for the 2 of us. Will definite be back.
Steak was amazing as was the satay duck starter.
Nice setting for a year anniversary meal, enjoyed the food drinks and the service was brilliant
Great food.. Fantastic ambience.. Brilliant cocktails.. Quite busy which sometimes impacts on service..but really enjoyable nonetheless
Nice Saturday lunch. Can’t complain at £12.50 for two courses.
Excellent value and lovely food in a great setting.
food was just not very good - my dish was very salty and the fish seemed dry and overcooked - very nice place but the food was not good enough
Great food and dining, was lovely meal and the staff were really friendly and they made it extra special as it was a celebration as well
Meal was excellent and the ambience was superb but, on this occasion, the service was not up to the usual standard, despite the fact that the restaurant was not full. More emphasis was being paid to the larger groups.
Great food as always
Consistently good food throughout the meal. Service was particular good - right balance between attentive & discreet/not invasive.
Lovely restaurant in a great spot in Castlefield. Nice to sit by window or on terrace if available. Good atmosphere. Set meal is good food at a great price.
Lovely food, good price and friendly staff and great atmosphere.
great lunch time menu, affordable and great staff - our thanks to Lewis who's service was excellent
Family get together with my cousins and their spouses travelling over from Yorkshire. As usual lunch choice, execution and service was spot on. We all enjoyed a variety of dishes and drinks in the relaxed atmosphere. The bill with three courses, a few cocktails, a bottle of NZ Sauvignon, four pints and a couple of pudding wines and coffees came to £183 for six before tip - bargain.
Always good, never poor, sometimes noisy but you can't choose the clientele
I booked this table for my husband’s 60th birthday celebration with his family. The staff were lovely and brought a glass of Prosecco for him, and a chocolate cake with candle at the end of the meal. They also provided me with a gluten free menu, which was fab. Lovely service and nice relaxed atmosphere for a Sunday.
We came for my daughter in law 30th birthday. I have been for a meal on many occasions but last Sunday was not very good. There was several things wrong with the food, my chunky chips were not cooked properly. My son had the fish and chips he left most of it because it was all batter another not much fish and had sticky toffee pudding and there was no sticky sauce it was like water. My husband has sea bass and he said it had no taste. I wanted to say something but my family didn't want any fuss. Have you changed your chef? Overall very disappointed. S. Coleman
Great restaurant love the cheese pie. Staff are fantastic and friendly
A very pleasant evening with a fantastic waiter who just had the right amount of everything, not too pushy but ontop of his game which made our table experience very good.
We had to ask for the early bird menu and we ordered from this which is good value for money.
I would certainly return and recommend.
Very helpful staff even though the service was a little slow, food is excellent value for money, drinks are a little pricey.
Fabulous place great staff great food. We loved it.
My meal was excellent, unfortunately the other two diners guests wasn't so great. The vegan choice is very limited my gluten free choice was very good though, I was happy. The service was patchy and the table near the door to patio resulted in the door opening frequently for smoker and getting wafts of stake smoke. I did have to get up at one point due to a server leaving the door open.
Good location and good food choice. Service was slightly slower than expected but not overly so. Deserts served at different times which was a bit irritating.
The service was very poor, we felt like we were forgotten due to the table being at the back of the room. We had to leave the table and go to find staff for drinks etc.
This was the first time I had been to this restaurant and I was very happy with the whole experience. The restaurant was really clean including the toilets. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. They made sure that I had plenty of room to get in and out of the table as I am a wheelchair user. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in Manchester. Unusually good food, excellent (and appropriate) service, lovely ambience, The menu is varied but not too long. I had a 50% off food voucher but the full price was low for such superb quality. The music was the right volume but with a bit too much base - this is the only possible complaint I can think of!
The early dining menu is value for money I had the fish curry & was one of the best dishes I’ve had at Alberts
Service was a little slow bearing in mind it wasn't very full.
However, food was good and staff pleasant.
The food and presentation are very good. But it ends there. The MANAGEMENT is the problem. I have
dined there several times while visiting from out of town on business. Business travelers use credit cards. They decide which night if they are going to accept cards and policies change from week to week.
I will NEVER go back again.
Poor service & it was a really quiet Sunday night(God knows what it would have been like if they were busy!). As we were seated we weren’t told of items that were not available from the menu & I had to ask for a drinks menu which the waiter said he’d bring over but never did!We asked another waitress for the drinks menu which she brought over straight away but alao asked for our drinks order straight away but we weren’t ready & asked her to return in a couple of minutes. About 10 minutes later we finally ordered our drinks and it took about another 10 minutes when they finally arrived ( we could see our drinks ready on the bar for at least 5minutes when I got fed up & walked to the bar & asked a member of staff if they could bring the 5 drinks to our table). To be fair a senior member of staff apologised & said she would not add this round to our final bill.
When we finally gave our food order I was only then told that my choice of main was not available so I had to quickly pick something else!!
I had ordered a starter of tomato & buffalo mozzarella on bruschetta as a starter- all the starters were served & I started to eat mine & realised that there was no mozzarella with the tomatoes ( the waitress did NOT mention anything when serving )!!! I questioned a passing waiter (I was doubting myself by now if it actually said mozzarella on the menu) - & he didn’t know & said he’d check with the kitchen!!!! The same senior member of staff came back to our table & apologised saying they’d run out if mozzarella & asked if I would like feta cheese or their pizza cheese with it instead!! They also did not charge us for this messed-up starter but we didn’t book this place looking for freebies . The whole evening was spoilt unfortunately by very poor service & we will definitely NOT be eating here again!!!!! 👎
The food was nice as always and the waiter who looked after us was brilliant. But the food was a little on the cool side and could of done with being a little hotter and the roast potatoes was missed off my dish, but the staff was quick to remedy that. I have been to Albert's shed before and this will not be the last time even with the little hiccups.
