The restaurant has ample car parking and provides a picturesque environment for dining out with friends, family or colleagues.
The service was poor, we waited at the door for around 5-7 minutes to be waited for seated.
We were served by the waiter for drinks quite quickly but those drinks took around 20 minutes to arrive. We had to ask a couple of times where our drinks were. They were busy but not full. Not really sure what was going on.
The tarted were great, really nice.
The mains however, there were 6 of us. 2 of us found hairs in our meal.
We told the manager who apologised and said she would remove the meals from the bill, she said it was embarrassing for them and she would offer us a complementary dessert or drink. She didn’t come back to offer any such thing.
We paid and left. All in for a bite he at meal, not good. Wouldn’t return.
Went to Albert’s she’d for date night with my gorgeous gal, had an absolutely outstanding night, fantastic service and even better food!
A fabulous evening. The food was some of the best I have eaten. Simply delicious.
Lovely restaurant, great staff and lovely meal .Well worth a visit .
Been many, many times before as it’s always such great food and even better service. Would recommend to anyone looking for amazing food in the area
Love Albert's.. Consistently fine food and wine, reasonable price, great ambience, good service. My favourite dish is halloumi and chips. Friends and family that are quite particular, enjoy it here too.
Amazing food and service. Will definitely go again the next time we visit Manchester
Have dined here numerous times, I cannot fault it, really enjoyed my steak frite on my last visit
Very pleased with this venue, we were a 60+ yrs reunion group of 8 people, and although it was very much a younger persons place, the noise level was fine, the service and food was v good indeed.
Excellent food choice & service we always enjoy coming here !
When restaurants are not to busy staff tend to get waylaid and do not concentrate fully. Nice plae. Food fine but could do better.
Thank you for your review Malkin I have passed your feedback onto the management team, Karen
Food portions are getting smaller each visit and don't match the cost.
Plus point is they now offering Guinness.
Thank you for your review Gary I'd really like to know what dishes from the menu you ordered to look into why you think that the portions are reducing as they all should be the same spec size. Please could you also let me know what name your booking was under and what time your table was booked for and also your email address, Karen
We had booked a table and it was ready for us. Whilst the restaurant was very busy, the service was excellent. We chose from the set menu which had a wide choice to suit anyone and was great value. My wife is coeliac and requires a gluten free diet but this was no problem att all. Overall, it was a very good experience.
Alberts continue to provide an high level of food & ambience. Thoroughly recommend
I was expecting a busy, noisy experience but was pleasantly surprised with a relaxing ambience and friendly service. The Sunday roast was excellent (pork) - beautifully seasoned and full of flavour.
It's in a very modern retro area of Manchester. The restaurants food quality was outstanding the presentation and taste were excellent cooked to a high quality. Wait time for the food wasn't bad either, waitor's were pleasant and courteous. Would definitely visit again ideal for a date and celebrations. I would say average costs are around £25 - 30 p/p if having two course with a drink. Highly recommended!
“Party menu” didn’t satisfy variety, only 5 starters and mains, on a whole the party felt a bit let down with the options. That being said it was very good food when it arrived. Table was ready on time but the drinks service was slow, overall above average but room for improvement on the minus points above. Would still recommend
Really enjoyed our early evening meal here. Fish and chips of epic proportions and two very tasty salads. We’ll be back!
Had enjoyable afternoon out with friends, food and service excellent, would definitely recommend as atmosphere was brill as well. Will be coming back.
We came to the restaurant for a farewell get together as work colleagues before redundancy! The food was lovely and the setting good. As we were all driving we could not take advantage of the offers on fizz and bubbly unfortunately! The food was very good with great choices on the lunchtime menu. The 2 courses for £12.50 lunch was really good value. The restaurant was very quiet while we were there so there was not much ambience but midweek lunchtimes are probably not the busiest time! A good place to meet and eat!
Excellent all round as usual well done to all concerned 😊
Great Sunday Roast..
We've eaten at Albert's Shed many, many times and it never fails to deliver good food in a lovely environment. The Sunday lunch represents excellent value. On this occasion the service we had was particularly good.
Beautiful food, well presented and cooked to perfection. Lovely busy setting but not to loud. Friendly staff
We went to Albert's Shed for a birthday lunch. The food was excellent and we all (8 people) enjoyed it. I would highly recommend the haddock rarebit. It was delicious! We also had 2 bottles of wine which was very reasonably priced. The staff were efficient and helpful too. We will definitely be going back soon.
Lovely meal took advantage of 2 courses for £12.95 . Only query was the weird paper on the plate to serve fish and steak . Just got wet and ended up in my mouth ! Not necessary. Apart from that lovely meal great service value for money
Thank you for your feedback regarding the branded paper I will be passing this onto the head chef and the management team, Karen
We've always had our quarterly 'get together' at Albert's Shed and the 2 course menu, probably for around 6 years now. Our lunch this time was a little disappointing, as the leek and potato soup was very salty, as was the rare rarebit and the type of fish appears to have changed on the fish and chips, along with the portion size.
The service was very good as usual and the atmosphere also.
We will still return as we love the location and that's the first 'blip' we've had.
Thank you for your review Jude, I'm really pleased to read that you have visited the shed for years that is fantastic, so I'm a little disappointed that you did not enjoy this visit. Would you possible mind contacting me with your email address so that I can request that the general manager Simon to look into your visit and dishes. If you could also include what name and time your booking was for that would be great, Karen
Lovely space in which to relax and a generous Bottomless Brunch! Great way to spend a Sunday morning
The food was amazing. The staff were lovely and very attentive. We will definitely be back. Such a great place for date night.
We arrived and our table was just outside the kitchen so I got knocked about 2 times by the waiters bringing foid out on a hurry. We waited a while for the starters and I ordered the prawns with bread my bread for dropped on the floor the waitress for a new piece our mains arrived some chips where cold and my broccoli was hard!! We did complain and didn't pay for my main course. We wont be going back it's over priced too. We have been on several occasions and this was the worst.
I'm sorry to hear your experience was not a positive one Lorraine. If you would like to send me over your contact details we can look in your visit in further detail. If you could also add your booking name, date and time I would really appreciate it, Karen
Very good yet again, love going there. Excellent food, wine and service.
Love Albert Shed! Went for Early Bird Special which was great value for money. As always food was scrumptious. On sunny day great to sit outside. Love the seating area outside which is linked to Dukes 92.
Good atmosphere, great food and service, excellent value for money. Casual dining at it's best.
Absolutely loved our food at Albert a shed staff friendly and helpful lovely place going back in a few weeks excellent place
Clean, bright, airy restaurant, decor makes it look stylish. Friendly and efficient staff, great menu choice. Loved the flavours in the crab and avocado starter, good portion size to. All the table enjoyed their food which varied from saddle of rabbit to tomahawk chop, it's a big chop make sure you have a good appetite! Would recommend for a special occasion or a night with friends. Can be noisy at weekends but midweek is fine if you like a quieter eating environment.
Always enjoy the lunch menu. A regular birthday treat with my mum. The staff were very attentive and gave good service. They also brought a glass of fizz complementary for my birthday and a dessert with candle which was lovely.
Food was good service was terrible and we asked for someone to take order for a sweet
This is the third time I’ve been to Albert’s Shed and it was as good as ever! The staff are excellent, the food is top quality and excellent value. Whenever I’m in Manchester for food my first choice is Albert’s Shed. Cheers.
A lovely evening for my wife and I celebrating our first anniversary. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The service was sensational, and quick with any request we had.
Really nice meal we have been to many restaurants in Manchester and never to this one I don’t know why we waited so long to go . Definitely go again.
