Terrible service waited over an hour for our meal to be served....BROUGHT wrong food had to change ,no organisation..,needs a serious shake up ,not what it was !!
A great place to eat 1st class
Excellent quality food and choice
Great service and a good vibe loved it
Been to Albers a few times and has been great.
On this occasion was very poor. Waiting 30 minutes for a drink, starters rushed out and inedible. Mains for my daughter and her friend was pizza that was dripping in oil and soggy...disgusting.
Would never eat here on a Saturday night again.
Only thing bad I would say about my experience there was that my main course for me and my partner came out 5 minutes after ordering, even before our drinks arrived. I appreciate on a Saturday it was rather busy but I felt as though we got seated and then forgot about really. People around us were getting served much faster.
Attentive friendly service, delicious food, soft, relaxed ambiance for catching up. Perfect!
We had a lovely meal here. I has the scallops to start which were great and we opted for the seafood platter as our main. Everything was nice bar the langoustines which were grey so we left them. I asked the waiter about them and he couldn’t advise and didn’t bother to ask the chef to my knowledge. As far as I’m concerned grey is raw!
We booked this restaurant following eating at Alberts . The seating was disappointing close to the kitchen when there was better seating available. Service was very poor we asked for drinks including water and only got drinks . Had to ask for water again. Further drinks ordered were not delivered to the table in a timely manner . Again we had to ask ! Waiters were seen congregating around the bar and chatting. I felt the service was impersonal ,the food was ok . Paying a good price for a family meal I would expect far superior attention to the customer,
Went for a late lunch with work colleagues, we had a lovely time, food & service good, great location
Good service, friendly staff, good food, just wish that the menu was changed a little bit more often. I have now been five times and it's always the same menu for the two course menu so you do run out of options. Having said that it is good value and staff are so friendly but a little bit more variety would be great.
Fabulous food, great service, lovely location - what more could you want?
Good variety on the menu, even for Vegitarians. Excellent food as always.
I went to Albert’s Shed to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. The staff could not have been nicer and the food was to die for. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning. The Rabbit Gnocchi is to die for!!
Booked here for a family birthday celebration lunch. The menu was quite extensive. Unfortunately the guinea was off but was more than pleased with the lamb. Plenty of other choices. The staff were really helpful. All in all a good occasion.
First time visit. We arrived slightly early but we were seated straight away. Our waiter is a credit to you. We felt like he was really taking care of us but he wasn’t too intrusive. We were very impressed. Food was beautiful and service was very speedy we literally waited just a few minutes in between courses. Decor is lovely and having been to your worsley restaurant quite a few times in the past I think we know have a new favourite and we are already thinking of an excuse to come back. 😊
Service was appalling. Not sure if the restaurant has changed management but it was a bit of a shambles. There was clearly a great shortage of staff. We waited by the door for 10 minutes to even be acknowledged (we had a booking) and when I eventually looked for a member of staff myself, the manager grunted at me and told me to wait. In the end I asked one of the bar staff to seat us and he did so kindly. It took 25 minutes for our order to be taken (the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy; empty tables) and once finished our empty plates were sitting on our table for 30 minutes. They were only cleared away when we asked. Even when we asked for the bill (twice) it was forgotten about and we had to get up and ask for it directly. Used to be a delightful restaurant but it’s gone very downhill. Food was okay, but not as good as it used to be. The restaurant on the whole needs some TLC, especially the toilets (broken taps, broken light fittings, toilet paper on the floor etc). When we came to leave we were left to search the cloak room for our coats ourselves, as no staff were available. We won’t be returning any time soon which is a shame; this restaurant used to be a favourite.
Lovely food as usual although I felt the sea bass portion was a little small ( the fish and sauce were delicious) and the steak was rare rather than medium rare. However when the waitress asked for our feedback at the end of the meal she refunded the cost of the dessert and coffee. We hadn’t wanted to complain but rather give an honest opinion. Ambiance nice and it was quite busy even in January.
Great food great attentive service what a lovely place venison was amazing will definitely be returning
We took the seafood platter for two. The food was really good but it could have been served better. All the food was brought at once, both cold and hot. The waitress did not explain what all the dishes were, but was very friendly. It would have been nice to get the Oysters first followed by the other cold starters and then the hot ones. Then to bring the Risotto finally as a main course.
We have eaten at Albert’s Shed many times, but sadly this time did not feel it was up to the usual standard.
We requested a bottle of Chablis and the waitress said they were not sure if they had any. She said she could go to the cellar and check, but made it sound such a chore, we chose an alternative.
My husband and son had the prawn starter and found it much too salty and sadly lacking in the chilli it should have had.
My husband and daughter both had lamb, one was beautifully pink, the other not. Again both were very salty.
As it was my birthday treat we were a little disappointed and will wait a while before returning.
We have been going to Alberts Shed for a number of years and the service and food is second to none. However this occasion, the food was terrible which is a shock.
I ordered soup of the day which was brilliant, the wife had prawns and loved them. Then came the mains, the wife had the lobster risotto.. she was disappointed, only three prawns, some lobster and the rest was rice. I ordered the 10oz Ribeye which was in some cases still raw, although the outside seemed over cooked, and it was all tough as old boots and gristly.
Decided on no afters as we did feel somewhat let down.
First time we have been disappointed, will decide at a later date if we will go back.
Fantastic food and service, never had a bad experience there. Great setting and pleasant surroundings.
Everytime we visit this chain of restaurants we have a fabulous time, child friendly, excellent food, location vibrant and atmospheric. Specials were especially tasty that were on the menu on Saturday evening. Enjoyed pre-dinner drinks in Dukes. DJ was on the decks spinning some blasts from the past, will definitely be visiting again shortly.
We have been going for years and it's recently got even better with really creative and unusual new items on the menu.
Alberts Shed has been and will continue to be a firm favourite. We eat there often and have never been disappointed with any aspect . Great for brunch , lunch and an evening meal with friends.
Parking is good and it has a great outside dinning area too.
We visited again and had the Early Diner Menu, which was very good. Although the portions were smaller the food didn't disappoint.
Staff were attentive and checked on us a number of times.
The atmosphere is always very good with a real buzz.
On Friday it wasn't as busy as I've seen it before but this didn't detract from the occasion.
We really enjoyed our visit here for my boyfriends birthday. The food was lovely and Becky, who served us, was really attentive. Our starters came out much quicker than we expected, and were a real treat. My boyfriend had the duck satay and I had the prawns and squid. Both were really delicious. The lobster rissoto was the real winner here. Absolutely beautiful. The only thing I’d say is the wine is quite expensive, but I guess thats part and parcel of eating in a restaurant. Highly recommend.
We took our 3 year old and we were looked after very well. The food was delicious and very good value.
Really lovely restaurant. Catered well for our daughter with allergies. Would recommend and will return.
I had been once before with a friend and we ate from the fixed menu and thought it was fabulous and the service excellent, this time I went with my husband for a date night and ate from the main menu OMG the food was just amazing the choice the presentation the quality all outstanding, the service also fabulous, you were given time to enjoy your food with a slight gap between courses not rushed not slow just spot on and the staff clearly took pride in ensuring you enjoyed your experience I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment, please give it a whirl you won’t be disappointed. 😊
The food was very good but unfortunately the service was poor. They had the minimum number of staff on and at one point it was just one and the manager. We had to attract the staff to clear away and to order. One starter was brought to the table significantly after the others and then to be told one of the chosen mains was not available and kitchen was blamed. Shame as it did affect the whole event but we didn’t take it up with the restaurant which was probably a mistake as they wouldn’t be aware of our disappointment.
It’s a great place, great food and great service
Had a lovely evening on New Year’s Eve, however really feel it was very overpriced in comparison to the cost of eating there on “normal” occasion.
Brilliant restaurant. Food was amazing . I would advice the beef short rib any day of the week. Been twice in December. Staff are great as well. Price is fair.
Lovely meal before the theatre. Food was excellent and very attentive service. Would recommend and visit again.
Waiter service polite and outstanding, also reduced champagne off their own accord over the xmas period complementary.
No need to worry when booking Albert's Shed. Laid back atmosphere, great food and first class service every time.
Albert's will never let you down
We eat at this restaurant on a fairly regular basis and have never been disappointed. We were particularly impressed with the excellent service and great choice of food especially during the Christmas period. Would definitely recommend Alberts Shed.
Very good, but very noisy, too close to other tables
Impressive service, and we loved the sausage and mash starter, with the fish and chips main as good as ever. Great value offer, at £12.50pp, though then spent three times that on booze! Great margueritas, and decent wine list. All in all, a very enjoyable lunch. Comforting reliability.
Attended for a work Christmas meal, there were 9 of us and the service & food were excellent, we'll definitely be back.
