Yes great atmosphere. Food amazing and great value .
Beautiful first visit will definitely return. Our visit was a 2 adults a teenager and a baby but I think our next visit will just be the adults on a Friday or Saturday night to see what that is like and taste the cocktails on offer
17th birthday, complimentary brownie was much appreciated ...excellent waiter .
Poor service. Breakfast arrives and toast comes ten minutes later when they decide to stick it in the toaster AFTER serving you.
By this time food is cold and more or less finished. Poor process and the staff weren’t bothered
Our 2nd visit to Alberts, first visit food was amazing.. this visit I ordered something different that I had never had before the Half Lobster and King Prawn Risotto. The lobster was tiny! I was asked if everything was ok not long after the food came and they agreed it was smaller than they would normally serve so fetched me the other half. Alberts gets very busy on our way out we had to dodge past tables that seemingly had been put in the walk through back towards the entrance, I wouldn't;t have been to happy with the amount of people pushing past to leave. All in all Alberts is very nice the food was as always tasty.
Excellent food.. always well presented. Brilliant service. Great value for lunch Sunday before 4pm. Gail and John baxter
Service was very slow we were shown to our table we had to ask to order drinks . Food was very good as always. We would usually go to Didsbury but it’s closed at the moment service is better there .
Alberts has amazingly good value menus and the staff are fantastic. More impressed with our very tasty starters on the lunch menu today than our mains. But, as we paid less for 2 courses than many restaurants charge for one, we can't complain at all!
Love visiting this place, always a great evening! Delicious food, tasty cocktails, good service - made all the better with fabulous company
The meal was lovely, but service was very slow, the waiter had too many tablets to himself I think, also the set up of the seating was a little too rammed, we was literally sat with the table next too us.
Waiting staff had to squeeze passed with food.
I do think certain meal choices were over priced.
But overall lovely.
Great ambiance staff not very friendly starter of fillit steak was as tuff as old boots would try again but if is the same I wouldn’t be going bk
The starter was runny egg and my wife didn’t eat it, the main meal beef brisket was full of fat for mine and my wife’s meal so they were sent back as well we got a free bottle of wine and they reduced to bill from 90 to 65 but that amount of money for one starter and two deserts is ridiculous.....was not the valentines experience I expected and my wife was disappointed.....basically it was a fail.
Great meal good service romantic atmosphere would recommend
Excellent service, delicious food, but drinks were expensive.
I’m a regular at Alberts, we eat in their weekly, unfortunately I wouldn’t dine in there on valentines night again, they added to many tables, squeezing them close together, we felt like we was eating with the couple beside us.
Greeting sharply and politely, was sat at the table promptly, food cane out sharpish and very hot, was a perfect meal, I let the waiter know of my lactose intolerance and him and the chefs made the meal incredible for me, even substituted my dessert without me asking and it was amazing, without sounding rude the waiter was talk with an accent, I didn’t get his name, but he was fabulous, the chefs and waiter made mine and fiancé Valentine’s Day, staff are a credit to the resteraunt
Food was outstanding, got told it was going to be late, but me and my partner didn’t realise, was very busy and fairly noisy but you’d expect that in a place like alberts.
Excellent value for the set menu. Always a busy place. Makes going out for lunch feel a little more special
I’ve visited Albert’s many times and always a pleasurable delicious meal wth great service
We have only been a couple of times and the experience has been good. On Sunday, that was not the case. It was a special birthday and we had gone to the trouble to make sure that everything was perfect. Two of the meals were cold, everyone else’s food was okay and people enjoyed it. I was disappointed as the service was very poor, we were left long periods of time waiting to order drinks and literally had to ask approximately 3 times as a reminder - everytime we ordered something. Apparently the printer ‘was down’ so that was the delay with the drinks orders - they should have reverted to pen and paper as everything was such a long wait. You had to wait for sauces etc. so couldn’t start the meal. They had run out of certain items, so that was a shame. Sadly on this occasion, the staff were not attentive at all, people had no drinks and no one asked if everything was okay until it was late into the meal. We were there 3 hours and only had a main course and the kids had some ice-cream. There just seemed to be no one passing the tables asking if you need anything, not sure if was a staffing issue?
8 in our party, 1 meal was delivered 20 minutes after everyone else, they forgot?
Would have thought they would have taken this meal off the bill
Another meal which should have come with Sunday Roast trimmings arrived green beans and had to be sent back?
The bill then came with the 10% discretionary service charge which I had to ask to be removed.
There was a live ban playing, we were at the opposite end of the restaurant thank goodness, even where we were seated it was difficult to have a conversation. At their reception almost impossible without shouting.
Suspect they are surviving on the original Alberts Shed in Castlefield reputation.
We come to Alberts Worsley on a regular basis. We’ve always enjoyed the food. Sometimes we come for lunch which is excellent value and sometimes for evening meal. It is always a very pleasant experience
Our food was unbelievable, well worth the price. Service was good although I felt like our server was trying to rush us into ordering. The restaurant was very noisy as you could hear loud music being played from a wedding upstairs. Would definitely return though
Food was absolutely gorgeous as per usual. Service was great and look forward to going back again and again!
The service was very slow at lunch time, I had to ask for the table to be cleared & we were initially charged for drinks that had been put onto our bill instead of another table's bill, not what I expect from Alberts
The 2 courses for £12.50 is excellent value for money and just right for a lunchtime outing. Service pleasant and quick atmosphere always lovely and enjoyable time .
Beautiful food and lovely atmosphere, was very busy so waited quite a while between courses but was definitely worth the wait! Thank you.
value for money with good atmosphere. great waiter service
Yes Alberts is a comfortable and spacious restaurant with good ambience. The food was good and presentation was good.
Lovely but cocktails a bit pricey for lunchtime, no offers on
Had a good lunch but my meal which was smoked haddock risotto came smothered in cheese so I sent it back as I always have it and it had never before had cheese on the top. I was made to feel I was being awkward for doing this. The people on the next table also complained about their meals and were offered a complimentary drink or desert but we struggled to get an apology.
My parents enjoyed their meal though which was good and the lunch menu is good value, just the service was lacking on this occasion
Another lovely meal - never disappointed here. Good variation of food suitable for all. As a disabled customer very accessible
Good food, relaxed atmosphere, good, friendly service and very good value.
Lovely food and reasonable prices. We dined on 3 courses for just over £20.
Had a lovely booth to ourselves as it was a quiet night and we were really close to the kitchen so could see our food being prepared.
Staff lovely and friendly.
We'll definitely be back.
I was with three other friends and myself & one other were celebrating our birthdays. We were made to feel so welcome immediately and given a complimentary glass of prosecco as we took our table then another one at the end of the meal. As always the food and service were outstanding. Two of my friends hadn’t been to Albert’s before but we all unanimously decided we would book again for the next birthday which is on 1st March! Everyone had a great night and we can’t wait to come back!
Great evening and particularly enjoyed the singers.
Great restaurant for the money. The food was good and the desserts were amazing.
Great experience and would recommend. One star missing because I ordered mini pie starter and was informed after ordering it was not available. Only 530 pm.
Love it here, great food, good value in relaxed comfortable surroundings. Great menu options even on the special 2 course menu there was lots of choice.
We arrived for a family meal after booking for 8 and were seated straight away and offered table water but after 50 minutes and no one coming to take drinks order or bring the offered water my husband had to go and ask a waitress, who did come over and take our order. The table we were seated at was not sett for the 8 that was booked again we had to ask for another setting to be laid. We ordered some appetisers and our food, the appetisers came in a timely manner but the plates were not cleared so when the starters came we were almost having to pile plates and as their were 8 on the table their was very little space . My dads starter didn’t arrive no one came to ask if everything was okay which would have identified this so again my husband had to go locate a waiter and request the ordered starter. The manager did come and apologise and offered the starter for free however the rest of the party had finished. Their were no steak knives brought to the table and we had to ask. When the meals came out their was the tarter sauce missing from the fish and chips and my daughters bowl of chips! By this point my husband having brought our family out was quite frustrated and had to find the waiter again to inform if the missing items. This was a busy Saturday afternoon but the service was quite possibly some of the worse we have had which is such a shame as the food when arrived was delicious. The manger did apologise and after my husband telling her of our issues was offered our wine we had as a gratuity. This was a little too late as we were extremely embarrassed that we had brought our family for a meal which was spent complaining and locating staff . For the managers I have done this review to highlight the need to give some service training to the waiter staff as this was our biggest issue and this would have made our visit a perfect as the setting is lovely and food with delicious. However unfortunately we won’t be back until this is addressed.
