Lovely service and food was very good in a nice setting will be going again.
Great food and atmosphere. Really enjoyed it!!!
we had excellent service from a very attentive young lady.
We had a great time. Wendy was amazing and really looked after us! x
Nice catch up with friends.
Easter Sunday.. we have visited maybe 6-8 times. The service is always great and food good. But today, the staff didn’t seem to care. The service was slow 20 minutes for pre dinner drinks to arrive. My risotto which I have had several times before, was over cooked and just warm. I ordered a side salad and asked for no Parmesan but still arrived 15 mins after main course with parmesan on it. Staff really couldn’t care less. It was my go to restaurant and I often recommend. But sorry never again.
Great service and food, the only problem we had was the music was to loud at the waiting area prior to being seated, I don't mind a bit of background, but we couldn't hear each other :)
Spent a lovely Easter Sunday, leisurely eating delicious food whilst being entertained by a super singing duo, whilst enjoying cocktails on a beautifully sunny day - who could ask for more?
We love Alberts - Thank you for another lovely dining experience.
Food was lukewarm so we complained and they sorted out a refund. Why do they insist on seating everyone so close together? For once the restaurant was quiet (10.30am) but our table for 2 was right next to a table of 7 with young baby!
Good for an occasion meal. Service is usually very good. It's quiet noisey the background music is repetitive. My lowest score would be for the menu which seems to have gone quite "tight".
Sat outside on a lovely sunny day. Really helpful and attentive waiter. Lovely food - there was a lunch menu offering £12.50 for 2 courses. Really good value for delicious food.
A wonderful place to visit on a sunny evening, sitting outside people watching and enjoying a beer. Our booking for 7pm was "on the nail" and our orders were taken quickly. There were plenty of enthusiastic and friendly staff enquiring as to our enjoyment and the place was buzzing.
I understand that I went on Easter weekend so it was always going to be busy but me and my wife arrived 20 minutes early so we sat at the bar. The front of house staff completely forgot about us after telling us that they would come and get us at 6 for when we booked the table and we were left until 6:45 when my wife went to speak to them and they said “ oh yeah, come on then” but I can not fault the food or the table service
The food as usual, was very good on the whole, although my daughter had a burger, which she said had little taste. The food service was ok, but the drinks service and wait at the bar was poor. Whilst there were plenty of staff on, the cocktails take a long time to make, and so the service seems to suffer.
Was surprised by how the portions of the items on the lunch menu have reduced in size on this visit. Lucky if the fish was half/third of the normal portion of fish and chips. Food quality was okay but feel the lunch menu is no longer good value for money, think it may be better value by having one course from the al la carte menu. Also drinks seemed a little expensive e.g. £4.10 for a lager shandy is touching on hotel pricing.
Great vegan choices.
Gorgeous brunch...Nice table near window to people watch....
Extremely small portions. Starters were very disappointing, four small prawns in lots of tomato sauce (not king prawns as the menu said) Hungry afterwards. Three small peices of monkfish on a skewer for a main dish at £19.50 and half a lobster risotto (which again was the smallest lobster weve ever seen) for £23 that had about two small pieces inside the main body...the risotto was bland, overcooked and gluey. Asked for second round of drinks which only arrived after we nearly finished mains. Profiteroles for desert were so hard, you had to hack at them with a fork and spoon. Very dry and not very appetizing. Overall not one of the best places weve ever eaten.
Usually really great especially the meal deal bit the portion size was so small we all had to have a snack when we got in. Not filling at all... felt realty rushed food was cooked and swiped and dessert was given within 25 mins without the time to rest after forst course. Service always very good and friendly though just felt a bit rushed and still hungry!!
all I have to say about the food is it was all very good however my cod had lots of bones in it which the odd one yes but there was quiet a lot and the chairs the arms were hanging off bit tired I think but over all it was very good
we have been to alberts worsley on a number of occasions, and can honestly say not had a problem
but on sat 13th April it was terrible
My husband ordered a meal that was cooked differently to how it has been done before, and was awful they then replace it was lamb, with was still not very nice this time.
I had the haddock risotto and had an upset stomach from finishing the meal until the following morning
Always decent food and atmosphere, tea time mid week offer is great value.
Arrived early for a 7:45pm table. Bar staff were excellent, served straight away. Got to our table and waited 50 minutes for our drinks order. We were given the wrong drinks three times and the wrong food twice. Waiter cut my friends hand whilst putting the knife down. Stood on all our feet at one time or another and caught my friend in the head with his elbow. He also asked us our order four times. Overall very poor service. Ruined our night.
Birthday dinner with friends, nothing was any trouble we would recommend and return
can not fault alberts one bit. everything was excellent. will be back very soon.
Always been extremely satisfied with everything. The only criticism is to do with the noise level which, I doubt, you can do little about.
The food was fab but the service was so strange. We were seated and it took over 10 minutes to take our drinks order then a further 15 minutes to receive the drinks. So already 30 minutes in and we finally get to make our food order. The food arrived pretty promptly but I noticed that the staff were a bit disorganized in terms of who was looking after us. We were originally dealing with one lady then another came over and gave us sauces and then the original server would come over and ask if we needed sauces even though it was clear with 4 tubs of sauces on the table that someone else had already seen to us- the same thing happened with water too.
Food was great and the servers were lovely, just be better if they stuck to their tables and communicated with each other instead of asking the same question especially when we were on a business lunch.
Excellant service.waiters were polite, friendly and efficient.
We all enjoyed the food we ordered.
Would definately recommend
The chap who served us did not introduce himself and did not try to relay what the soup or fish of the day was.
His overall demeanour was very bad and he could do with going on a course on how to treat people, unlike Kevin who has served us many times and is always excellent!!
Had a lovely meal on Monday evening.
The food, service and ambience was perfect.
Sometimes when I have been it’s been extremely busy which can have an impact on the service and noise levels. A victim of its own success I suppose.
I will definitely be going again.
We attended Albert's for my sons 21st birthday tea. The service was good we were attended to in a timely fashion. The food was not good especially the three pizza orders. There was hardly any filling on the pizza it was tasteless and lacked flavour. We complained however it was met with a smiling acknowledgment and nothing more. With hindsight we should have insisted on a refund and we didn't. So overall disappointing. We had been 2 weeks previously and had a lovely meal.
Very enjoyable visit to Alberts's. Beat the rush (it's half-term) so it wasn't too busy or too noisy. Service was great, our waiter looked after us well. Attentive but not too intrusive. The food was up to the usual high standard and the lunch-time menu was a good price. Have been to Alberts many, many times. Good for me as I have mobility issues and accessibility is great (step-free and accessible toilet on ground floor).
They should write the allergies on the food/menu because on the gluten-free menu did not specify of other allergy information which could be included eg. nuts. However the service and information from the staff was very helpful but I didn't feel like it was very clear on the menu
Food was lovely!
The service need some looking at by management. Waiter didn’t seem interested in us at all.
Our waiter had a big party towards the end of our meal so asked another waiter for our bill, he then got the bill for a table in his section then stood around with his hands behind his back. Never brought us our bill. Had to then ask one of the hostess’ for our bill who brought it over immediately.
If I didn’t enjoy the food as much I would not return.
I have had bad experiences with the service in this restaurant more than once.
Shame because it could be so much better.
The service used to be good here but now it's not. The management don't seem to have it under control either. I saw a man complaining about bad service and instead of apologising they were loudly arguing with him in front of everyone. Not good customer service!
Very small portions!
All of us decided on the Sunday lunch menu. Here’s a tip- Don’t do it!
The starters were okay, albeit small portions. But the roast beef dinner was a joke. Just two very small, very thinly sliced pieces of beef. When I asked where the rest of it was the waiter said he would get the manager. She turned up with another two slices on a separate side plate and said the the portions were ‘standard’. More like, let’s see how many plates we can get out of a joint...
My mother had the roast pork. This was not a pork joint, but pork belly rolled up, full of fat and sliced. Again a cheap way to plate up a dinner.
Ive always thought this place was overrated and average food for the money. But it won’t be getting any more of fine in the near future.
We visit Albert’s Worsley on a regular basis, we have never had a disappointing meal, the food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and we like the ambiance. We have dined on different days and evenings and the experience is always excellent, we have recommended lots of people and they have always thanked us.
Alberts is one of our. Rey favourite restaurants.
A great place to meet up - less than 10 minutes from the motorway, plenty of parking space - and the the restaurant ....
Modern, clean feel to the place and a friendly welcome from the staff. The menu offered a great choice, and both our meals were delicious. And the full English delivered to an adjacent table looks good too.
If I have a criticism, I imagine it could get noisy when full - there is little in the decor to deaden the sound, but it wasn’t a problem for us.
I will be going back - and am looking forward to trying the evening menu.
The scollops, only 2 small ones served in the dish for starters, were minimal considering the cost of the meal and swimming in cream sauce needed bread to eat and fill up on!
Lobster king prawn risotto again filling minimal for cost and overpowered on plate with too much rice
Just brilliant from start to finish and great food
