   It has been a while since we have visited Albert's and as much as we enjoyed it I do think the standard of food has declined especially when you are paying £15 for a Sunday dinner. Service was good and atmosphere was great.

   As a frequent customer of this establishment I have noticed a steady decline in the quality of the food. On the last 3 occasions I put it down to a blip. The surrounding are still pleasant, the staff are for the most part good but the food is now at the point where it is not worth the price. On this occasion we had Sunday lunch for 6: 4 adult mains and 2 children, 2 soft drinks (coca cola), the rest had water; no starter or desert, cost £118.00. I don't mind the cost if the food is good. On this visit it wasn't, the roast pork was overcooked to the point where it was difficult to cut, the mash potato was full of tiny lumps suggesting it was 'powdered' mash and dry suggesting it was reheated and then left out - it had a slight crust on it from drying out. The Yorkshire pudding was large but mostly air without flavour, the roast potatoes were hard and taste like they'd been reheated, the carrots and green beans were ok but the portion size so small it would only satisfy a toddler. The roast beef and gravy were good. To add insult to injury despite all the 'reheated' taste the food was lukewarm and only the addition of hot extra gravy made the food palatable. Needless to say we won't be back.

   I’m not sure if it was because our irder went in just before the kitchen was closing but quality of the food was really poor. I had prawn starter and the prawns were over cooked and venison main. The venison was small small scrappy fatty pieces and very little of it hidden under the vegetables. Pastry was soggy and dauphinois potatoes were dried out. It was really disappointing. I’ve eaten here before and expected better.

    The food and customer service seems to be dwindling, we love alberts but the service this time was not great, the staff are always different every time we visit. The steak was tough and the chicken was nice but nothing special. Aperol spritz served with straw or stirrers.

    great vibe, great service, great food, although at the top of the price point for quantity/quality. Will definitely go back again, but won't have the sourdough. It may have been actually sourdough, who knows, but it presented as two slices from a sliced white loaf. Cheeseboard on the other hand generous and impressive, better than most.

    Really nice food, amazing service. But, cutlery and the glasses where dirty. Just random specs of food on the knifes and stains on the glasses. Apart from that, amazing value, great evening.

    Enjoyed it, always go to the Wigan Standish thought we’d try Worsley for a change. Personally I prefer Standish.

    Quality of food very good but......unacceptable long wait for drinks irrespective of whether you go to the bar yourself or wait on table service. Sat with empty glasses several times waiting on drinks. Even forgot to bring the water we asked for until we reminded them. Main course delivered before the wine arrived. Food service was better. Towards the end of the night although there were staff only one was serving drinks whilst the rest concentrated on tasks such as restocking the fridges, cleaning used glasses & putting the rubbish out. It appeared there was little or no leadership which meant we felt that the most important thing was concentrating on tasks rather than ensuring the customers were looked after. Lastly orders called at 10:35pm which surprised us as only about 10 customers left. We would have spent considerably more on drinks if we has been attended to so the business has lost out. Speaking to other regular customers they said there was little recognition that they had visited before. Shame really as it could be a great place to visit but needs improved management in our opinion.

    Are outside which was pleasant until Sun became too hot. Ate from the lunchtime menu which was good value for money. Drinks choice was plentiful and enjoyable. Went with friend and was able to have a good conversation without having to shout

    Incredible food and speedy service. Luxury but comfortable atmosphere. Food and wine were lovely, worth the money (we had the Sunday Roast Beef). However, the music was a little too loud. Although they were very talented and the music was good it was just a little too loud to properly speak with my parents. Although musicians definitely add to the atmosphere, I think maybe they could've refrained from such loud music as it was Father's Day? Plus, it may be more appropriate for later sessions (e.g. drinks) rather than Sunday lunch-time. However it didn't spoil our meal and we still had an excellent time.

    Fantastic meal. Staff were amazing and brilliant with my daughter and her friends. They arranged a surprise birthday treat which I knew nothing about so was lovely end to a great birthday celebration

    Food arrived very quickly, it had obviously been microwaved to be served (as lemon was hot and sauce had a skin) however the meal was lovely. Once we were served it was had to get the attention of a staff member for drinks etc. Saying all that I would definitely go again

    Food was fine. We had to chase one meal that had been forgotten. We had to ask for the bill 3 times before it arrived. We were overcharged. Shame because the food was really enjoyable.

    Service poor had to go to the bar from the table. Starters came in good time the Main course however we waited 30minutes then had to ask were it was clearly then a panic eventually it came with no veg on three of the dishes. Very disappointed

    Some great gluten free options apart from the early meal deal which didn't have much choice. Food was tasty although the main course came half hot half warmish for moth myself and partner. Took a while to be seated but was fine once attended to.

    Terrible food, cold cheese & onion pie, cold seabass, cold chips, got simple drinks order wrong. All we coukd hesr was waiting on staff apoligising every 2 minutes to customers. Even got the bill wrong. Need to improve drastically

    The young lady that served us was called Lauryn. She was so very helpful especially to my friend who has difficulty walking, she was pleasant, courteous and very professional. The meal was excellent value for money and we enjoyed it very much. We also liked the ambiance and feel it’s good to have a restaurant like Alberts in a local area instead of going into Manchester.

    Had the 2 course lunch menu, some good options and you can chose which 2 courses you have. I had calamari starter and roast chicken main, perfect size portions for lunch and both dishes were very tasty. My husband had pizza and dessert, he said the pizza was tasty and the cherry frangipani was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Drinks are a little on the pricey side but usual for restaurants. Would definitely recommend
