We chose to lunch here to Celebes our thirtieth wedding anniversary and were not disappointed.
The service was professional solicitous but not intrusive and the waiters knowledgeable .
We chose the menu with the sommelier choice of wines which were delicious and paired excellently with the food. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the amuse bouches and the petit fours.
As it was our anniversary a surprise chocolate dessert was served and Alyn Williams circulated and chatted to he guests.
An excellent experience and one we hope to repeat .
Fantastic tasting menu - thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Particular highlights were the foie gras canapé, the halibut and the first pork dish, (we had two pork dishes which seemed a little odd), and the chocolate fondant tart petit four
Been here every year since it opened and it has never failed to impress. Love the food here and ambiance. Service is excellent and friendly and they are always flexible.
A thoroughly first class experience. The food was excellent with a main of lamb that was perfectly cooked. A real balance of sophisticated cooking but avoiding over complications. The pastry was thin, crisp and flavoursome and used in several dishes. Service attentive but not over the top. Two bonuses - the opportunity to pop into the kitchen and meet the chef and his team and the excellent Corsican wine recommended to complement the starter.
Superb food for the taster menu for two, with great attentive service and an excellent choice of wine too.
What a fantastic restaurant! The tasting menu was wonderful and very creative. The seafood was very fresh and prepared in creative ways. There was a nice and unusual selection of wines by the glass. The service was outstanding! Everyone was friendly and very efficient. This was a memorable meal, and we definitely will return!
Our third visit but significantly below the previous amazingly high standards experienced. Food lacked the amazing previous flavours and not such inspiring presentations or menu. Will try again but have such high expectations that this visit fell some way short, even the service was less involved and dour, exactly the opposite of what experienced previously
The service was excellent throughout. The food was wonderful. We enjoyed a five course tasting menu which the chef, having noted our likes and dislikes, prepared and surprised us with each course.
We have been to many Michelin star restaurants and this one is as good as any we have been to. The food was excellent as was the service. Alyn Williams served the starters and what a charming man he was. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys fine dining. We will definitely be going back to this exceptional restaurant. Thanks to all the staff who made this a memorable experience.
Isabelle was an excellent server.
Fabulous meal, attentive staff
Alyn Williams is a favourite of ours which we have not been to for some time. Returning was no disappointment. This oasis in the swirl of Mayfair is as good as ever. Service is smart, friendly and efficient, the food is delicious and extremely well prepared. The five course tasting lunch menu is great value for what it offers. We'll be there again soon.
From the moment we entered the restaurant everything was amazing from the food to the service. Will definitely be going here again!
The food is awesome and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a small problem in that we were near the door to the adjoining 'private dining' room and for me the noise was making discussions difficult. I asked to be moved and was with no fuss transferred to a less noisy part of the restaurant. Large groups tend to be very noisy by their very nature, so this is not a fault of the hotel, For some people this would not be a problem, it's just that my hearing is a bit sensitive.
Each course that was provided was full of different things (albeit small) that were colourful, tasty and different textures. Each looked like a piece of art work, although I resisted the temptation to photograph each course. We will be back.
The most amazing tasting dinner with great wines to go with it. Fantastic service and a great tour of the kitchen to met the maestro himself. Alyn Williams is a charming chef who cooks amazing food and is actually in the kitchen of the restaurant that bears his name.
We had a fantastic meal and experience. Thoroughly recommend.
Great food, fresh and seasonal. Staff was OK but not outstanding, possibly because we had late Saturday lunch and they would rather relax instead of working.
Overall experience is excellent. Highly recommended
Exceptional service and food as always. Best restaurant in London.
This was to celebrate our 5th anniversary and we wanted to make it special which the restaurant certainly managed to do. It was the perfect evening with excellent service and food. Thank you
Made very welcome. Lovely canapés and bread. Excellent tasting menu. Five courses and pre dessert. Gorgeous petit fours especially the yuzu jellies.
Great value for £65 including glass of bubbly.
The Food was great! Somehow we feel that dessert was too sweet for us ~
Fantastic food, great service. In a room which was quiet and peaceful.
Simply superb food. Best meal to be had in London.
We went for their 5 course (surprise me!) meal. Delicious food esp the exquisite halibut and the mackerel dishes, and great wine choice from the sommelier. Really loved the bread and all the little add on small bites and refresher dishes in between the courses. Super friendly and attentive service from our waiter, Florian. Lovely setting. Would highly recommend. We had a thoroughly lovely experience.
A Friday afternoon off with my other half...Really friendly and knowledgable service, great tasting wines, exceptional fish course and a decent cheese trolley. Oh, and one of the best puddings I have had in ages (raspberry/cheesecake mousse thing).
We had a really enjoyable and laid back Friday afternoon, many thanks all!
What can I say? The food was excellent, the service was professional and the value was good for a five course menu.
This place must really be tried to be appreciated.
Absolutely everything to do with the food and the service really is top notch.
Not quite certain how it could be improved apart from reducing the prices, although these are not expensive for the experience that you get and quality of the food.
Wonderful experience. Great service and I would highly recommend the wine pairings. They accommodated our special food requirements and it was too stuffy.
An absolutely outstanding experience and such a treat for our wedding anniversary. Thanks to all at Alyn Williams including the man himself, who we were lucky enough to meet!
Excellent for a celebration or special treat meal. Starters were the standout - beautifully presented and really interesting. Great dinner and good service. (The hotel bar where we had drinks beforehand was very slow (perhaps due to new staff?))
Marvellous Saturday looks much menu. Food was a high standard. Staff are very attentive, although when you’re looking for a long lingering girlie catch-up over lunch, they’re maybe a bit too attentive- it’s all about balance. I don’t want to feel rushed and want to savour every course.
Fantastic food, attentive service with being too much, really nice people too, visited the kitchen too afterwards which a nice touch
Flawless dining experience. Went with families. Exquisite food. Been to many Michelin restaurants in London and abroad. This restaurant is on another level💕.. Lovely staffs as well.
I can not express how wonderful the staff were during lunch and our time here. They were friendly, welcoming and made the whole experience a truly memorable one. .........And the food! We enjoyed the 5 course taster lunch, which was sublime - well thought out, beautifully presented (and introduced by the staff) and utterly delicious. A wonderful experience, thank you to all involved.
Service some ventilation or A/C would have improved that. Overall value was good for the number of tasting courses, quality of each course & experience.
We went there yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The restaurant was very thoughtful by placing us in a quiet corner as we have a small baby and highchair was already there when we arrived. We had the 5 course menu and it was all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Waiting time between courses was just perfect and staff was very attentive. My husband’s dietary requirement was well catered for as well and service was excellent. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and would highly recommend the restaurant.
We had a wonderful time! We were greeted by Alyn as we entered and received a very personal experience.
Celebrate my friend's birthday. Food is fantastic and amazing service! All stuff are friendly Always make us smile. My favourites restaurant in London! Thank you.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our visit to Alyn Williams, although we did ask after a couple of courses if things could be slowed down. This was implemented with no fuss
We loved meeting Alyn & the Head Chef. And the sommelier Manuela & Konstantinos were incredibly informative & took time to answer additional questions we had.
My only negative comment, is partially directed at myself as well. I was stunned to learn my glass of champagne cost £28. I should have checked because I felt I was still enjoying when the first course wine arrived
