Andalucia - Spanish Tapas Bar & Restaurant
We had eaten there last year but took my elderly parents as part of a theatre treat. The service was excellent, great menu choices and the food was well cooked & presented. Would definitely go again
Very good venue for theatre next door .. the Tapas were delicious !!! Nice cold beer as well perfect pre theatre venue !
Needed to find a last minute place to eat and discovered this little beauty on the app. Very small, but a lovely Spanish atmosphere. Service was fab. Ordered off the set menu at 14.95 PM. 3 courses and amazing value. Accompanied by a bottle of the house white which was again brilliant value. Somewhere we will visit again.
Authentic Spanish Tapas, ideal for a pre-theatre dinner. The house wine (Rioja) was perfectly acceptable
Great value, good portions, excellent service, good deals pre theatre.
I’ve adored this place for years and always increasingly perplexed why it is never booked to capacity. Obviously I don’t want it to be because I want a space but it’s so great it seems a shame so many are missing out! There are many people frequenting nearby chains but this is an independent establishment which is superlative and deserves support and indulgence.
Website of open table and the restaurant itself have out of date prices on the menus - theatre menu was 14.95 per head plus a service charge they added.
Food was nice and decent portions but restaurant was extremely quiet with only one of the other tables filled so ambience was lacking.
This is a nice little restaurant up a side street from the theatres so very convenient. We were greeted by the friendly waitress and sat immediately. The menu options were very good and the food was excellent- hot and served quickly. There was a special menu as well as a la Carte so plenty of choice. I would go again.
Booked here for pre theatre dinner. Positives are that it is very closer to the Prince of Wales Theatre and staff were very friendly. Also a nice bottle of red wine available. Although most seating is at basement level the space is fairly light and ok. Toilets could do with decorating. Food quality however, is not so good. We had nine tapas dishes and all were fairly low quality. Presentation of food was also poor. Spinach and pinenut salad looked like it has been tipped onto the plate from a supermarket bag and was not particularly fresh. Ok for a quick turnaround and very friendly but unlikely to return
Loved the patatas.... and all the Tapas was tasty. Excellent value and superb atmosphere in the West End
Fantastic value £12.95 for 3 course pre theatre menu. A big thank you to Julie for the friendly service.
Located in the heart of London but with affordable delicious food
A cosy restaurant in the heart of the West End which does everything a tapas venue should. Caters for vegetarians too. Lovely to return after 8 years and find it as wonderful as ever.
Outstanding value on the pre-theatre offer. I liked the atmosphere – it's a small place and was nice and busy. We would definitely return for another visit when looking for a good value pre-theatre offer. The crepe was a particular highlight, nice and cheesy, and the other dishes were all fine, if nothing too exciting. Service was good and wines were keenly priced.
Great for dinner before theater, but most seating is down a steep staircase. Understaffed the night we were there. Mind the prawns-required complete removal of shells and heads. Steak was passable but not a good value.
You are right about the prawns but that is how we serve them and is fully described in the menu. The steak, every time I go to the meat market I say the same thing to the butcher., when is the meat going down because if it continues like this I will have to put my prices up. Always the same answer, I am afraid it is going to get higher. Our steak is the best value for money around London, and therefore I will disagree with your comments enterally.
Had a lovely pre-theatre meal at Andalusia. Cosy, authentic decor, friendly staff and really good old school tapas, washed down with a bottle of Albariño. Can’t wait to return.
I felt like I am in Spain! Authentic restaurant with delicious food and great personal service. Value for money in central London. I was surprised it was quite quiet.
This is my favourite tapas restaurant in London. Authentic and family run in an area where it is all big business and limited table time. Here, you are not rushed and can actually enjoy a leisurely meal and conversation. The portions are generous and the food delicious. If you like red wine, the Rioja is excellent and great value. Thoroughly recommend for dinner with friends or even a date. The rusticness of the decor is charming and feels a bit like going back in time before everything was chromed or covered in velvet.
Everything was excellent. A real hidden gem
Unexpectedly gorgeous authentic food. Doesn’t look much from the outside but don’t judge a book by its cover!
Lovely pre-theatre and for an evening out with friends.
A busy pre theatre lunchtime and only one waitress but she was outstanding. We would definitely return
Very nice place! Confortable. Delicious Spanish food.
Small tapas restaurant with an authentic feel with very good selection of dishes all cooked to an excellent standard. Staff all friendly and helpful.
Authentic tasty tapas. We especially liked the Seafood and veggie options. Paella was a very generous portion for two people. Drinks and food reasonably priced. Location ideal for pre theatre meal. Would definitely go again and recommend.
We couldnt even finish our food we had to leave the restaurant. The food was not acceptable.
Good value set menu - handy location for pre-theatre dining
Pre-Theatre 3course dinner - plenty of choice for meat and fish lovers alike. Great value, nice size portions and very pleasant, prompt yet unintrusive service. Looking forward to eating there again soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Andalucia. We were served quickly and we enjoyed the prawns and the vegetarian tapas. All the staff are Spanish and it felt like a small part of Spain in London. We will definitely visit again.
Food was good value but the poor service let them down. We asked 4 times for tap water but never received it. Staff not friendly and never approached us once to see if everything was ok. Restaurant quiet for a Saturday evening. Definitely need to work on their service.
Solid rather than gourmet, but tasty at a decent price, and really handy for the theatres. Would go back.
A small independant restaurant that is nicely decorated. The food was well below our expectations and not as good as even a large chain like La Tasca. We will not go back as there are far better Spanish restaurants out there.
It is funny how one knows who is out of place somewhere. I was expecting your comments somehow. St. Valentines we were packed as you know, full of loving couples, mostly enjoying each other company. Our food is excellent value for money with excellent ingredients. It would not be professional for me to comment on the competition.
Lovely authentic Spanish food in a relaxed atmosphere
We were at Andalucia at 22:00 after going to the theatre. It was rather quiet but we got well priced good food that arrived very quickly.
Have been here several times now. First time we have had Tapas. Previously had their pre & post 3 course menu - which is excellent value for money. The Tapas was lovely, but very filling. Ordered 3 each. More like Raciones than Tapas. Couldn't get through it all. Next time will only order 2 each and see from there. And there definately will be a next time.
Staff was nice and kind.
The food was barely ok. We thought it had been microwaved.
Personally I won’t come back.
Delightful to find such great food and service right in the middle of London. We will be back.
Great little find - very cosy and homely. Friendly staff and great food.
Fantastic food, brilliant atmosphere, authentic Spanish feel to this little gem located in the centre of London... we chose the 3 course set menu and a bottle of a lovely Spanish white. With coffee and service the bill was £54 for 2! Amazing value and would highly recommend. Will definitely return...
Good value, friendly service, ideal pre theatre lunch. Other customers Spanish. Authentic food.
