Friendly staff, gorgeous cocktails.
friendly staff, great atmosphere, good food and even better drinks.
Lobster was so small
There was no one to greet us when we entered and as we sat down it took a long time for anyone to serve us, while the food was nice we only were able to have starters and a main with no dessert as the kitchen closed before anyone took our order. This subsequently forced me to pay full price for the starter and main as it didn’t count towards the “eat out to help out” menu without the dessert.
Good as always, great location, good food and service.
Service was amazing, felt really welcomed, the food was amazing, will definitely come back.
Waited a hour to be seated Our reservation was at 7:15pm and then nobody took our food order so we left at 9pm
It was just short of twenty minutes after our arrival (five of us) before, at my beckoning, a member of staff attended our table to take our orders. We ordered drinks from that person who then asked if we were ready to order our food; after twenty or so minutes, we were more than ready to order! It was more than a further ten minutes before even our drinks were served to us! We lived in hope for our meals.
After yet another wait of thirteen minutes - I had become so exasperated that I was now timing it - my meal arrived along with three of the other meals (incidentally, I had ordered the 'pork belly with mustard sauce' but requested a pepper sauce instead of the mustard sauce). Being people with some decorum, we did not commence to 'enjoy' our meals immediately but waited for the final meal to arrive. It was a further eleven minutes before that final meal did arrive, and that was after I had pointed out its non-arrival to yet another member of staff (who I later heard being referred to as "boss")!
By this time, the mashed potatoes and vegetables which had been initially delivered with the first four meals were cold but they did agree to replace them - which took another four minutes. Shortly after that 'delivery', I was presented with the pepper sauce which I had ordered; although the 'mustard sauce' which had arrived under my order of 'pork belly' was now congealed beyond recognition despite the fact that I had asked for it not to be included with my meal which was of course, by that time, cold anyway!
Our original 'host' arrived to hear my 'complaint' and 'agreed' not to charge me for the late meal and the mash and vegetables, how very condescending of her. Oh, and the second round of drinks which I had ordered between the first and second of meal deliveries arrived just after we had finished our cold meals. Absolutely shocking!!
Personally, I always try to find a positive in each situation - the hand sanitiser at the entrance smelt very nice!
Service outside was shocking.... very rude, very rushed.
Amazing service, so friendly and happy to answer any questions. Moved us to a better table when we asked. Food was delicious !!
Extremely attentive staff. They worked so hard to ensure our experience was special- even though it was so shortly after lockdown.
They Did not have white wine and rosé wine that we wanted.
When booking I spoke to reception and ask for Outside heating.
We were seated outside under the heater and when I requested the heaters to be turned on I was told that they were not working.
I feel I should have been told this when I made the booking.
We was not offered to be seated inside.
Well in mitigation it was a quiet Monday evening, although the loud and pounding beat that accompanied our meal wasn’t. Positive we’re a delicious veloute and a reasonably priced wine list. Simple errors on ordering weren’t excusable and warm bread were skmplyreheated small rolls. The steak was tough and tasteless. Salmon also a disappointment. I’ve eaten here before and always enjoyed the ambience but this evening was a let down. Probably better for an early evening drink on a weekend or end of week. Bizarre end to the evening with the waiters inability to do simple Siskin of the bill by 2!!
Angelicas mid Saturday afternoon is busy, full of atmosphere &, frankly, a place to see/be seen with the use of Selfies (and even the occasional pro photographer) very much the norm/fashion. Its a great bar indoors and balcony outdoors serving a limited choice of food ranging from steak/burger to salad/nibbles & sharing platters. Ideal really for what the place is. Staff are very professional with a few under agers chucked out carefully by good staff very professionally & appropriately - and well timed. Lovely place professionally operated where people go for fun.
Terrible service. Food was good but there are cheaper places to eat in Leeds that offer supremely better service. First visit and my last. Very dissapointed
Great food with great service over a great view!
Had a great lunch at Angelica. The service and food was great, all at a very reasonable price.
After having an unexpectedly bad visit previously, today certainly made up for it and restored my faith in a place I love to visit for food and drink. The service was impeccable with the staff and new management giving fabulous attention to us whilst the food was delicious, superbly presented and amazing value for money. I shall be back next week.
It was my wife birth and guys pulled all the spots! Great quality food great price with great atmosphere
Deal of Sunday Brunch £20 for 2 courses which is all over the open table web page and in email confirmation doesnt exist. Booked it for that and the deal is not on but still being advertised. Very POOR service and WRONG advertising, unapologetic staff so left and went elsewhere and had a lovely meal at Botanist instead.
We had a great time. Thanks
Everything was perfect except I’d asked for us to be greeted with a glass of champagne and then a bottle at the table, sadly we weren’t greeted with champagne and there was a bottle of processco on our table. All in all the food was beautiful and service was excellent, just a hiccup at the start. Still a great experience though.
Always a wonderful experience!!!
The bar was really nicely decorated, however this is the worst food I have ever eaten. My croque madam was just burnt cheese on toast and my partners salad was very expensive lettuce and tomatoes. It was such a shame as this meal was for our anniversary and we had traveled a long way.
Music was unnecessarily loud, which spoils the evening .
Great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff
Service was soso. Staff were somewhat friendly but not attentive. Food was fair.
We had a lovely brunch, and because it was my friends Birthday they brought her a glass of prosecco and a mini bun with happy Birthday on it, very nice touch. We really enjoyed it, staff were lovely.
Birthday drinks for 50th, gave the birthday girl a prosecco, great atmosphere and view and friendly staff
Went for Leeds eat week on a deal, we got 3 courses and they were all amazing, rich and filling.
A little slow with service to start and the menu is very limited, especially if you like healthy salads but the drinks are good and the venue is lovely
Food was delicious and service was great. The only problem was that we were put on a table so out of the way we couldn’t even see the restaurant, we were opposite the stairs, and we may as well have been sat on the stairs.
Great venue but let down by lack of vegetarian options. Had to ask for the Parmesan to be taken out of the veggie pasta (has animal rennet in it) and the veggie pasta portion was small compared to other meals. Otherwise a great place for drinks with good service and views across the city.
Visited Angelica several times and the service and ambience is always excellent
Will visit again in the near future
I booked here for the first time for my Mums birthday. We booked early at 5:30pm on a Friday as we were heading to the Arena afterwards. Angelicas was fairly busy but our table was situated nicely, not too close to anybody else which meant you could enjoy the buzz whilst having your own space. Our waiter was Ben, and he made sure we had everything we needed. We went for the 2 courses for £15 deal and we were very surprised at the standard of food for such a cheap deal! My Mum was made to feel like royalty from Ben on her birthday with a free glass of prosecco and dessert! Could not fault anything from the evening. Food amazing, service outstanding! Will definitely be returning and have already been recommending! :)
We had a lovely meal and drinks and were very well looked after - the food and the service was excellent!
Food overrated, over priced & poor quality. Would never go there again, was very disappointed with everything.
Are from the set lunch menu, two courses.
The soup lacked flavour and too much oil had been drizzled on the surface.
The mussels main course was good however the accompanying frites were cold and over cooked.
We went on an exceptionally busy Saturday, we were geeeted very pleasantly and led to our table, the waitress was attentive but not overpowering, and the quality of good and drink was very good. Will return .
I received a call at 1.35 on Friday 16th advising your system was faulty and they were booked up so they cancelled my reservation giving me 5 hours notice which I think is disgraceful
