Angelica Ratings and Reviews
After seeing Angelica on open table I knew the restaurant would be perfect for nice evening out with my husband . Ihave to say we were not disappointed. the staff were very friendly and professional ,my meal was special as I don't know of anywhere else that has soft shell crab on the menu. Lovely evening, will definitely be returning and recommending .
Excellent food very quick service, my only gripe would be the location of where we were seated at the top of the stairs that leads to crafthouse. Other than that the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, very pleasant waiter and the food was fantastic. Would of liked to see a bit more on the menu too.
Great space to enjoy a sophisticated meal. Staff can need some warming up but once you set the scene the staff are impeccable and the management are superb. Great quality food and wine (Angelica and Cratfhouse are on separate floors)
Balcony great on sunny days.
Can have sushi and fine wines or burger and a beer - good value
Has the wow factor when you first arrive. It's stylish and has an exclusive feel about it.
Food was beautiful in every sence, considering the prices are about on par with the likes of Frankie and Bennies the food is on a different planet!
Would eat here every day!
The service the staff give is amazing!
It was our first visit to angelicas after a friends recommendation, the menu is small but makes it easier to choose, there is an extensive drinks and cocktail menu and place has a wonderful ambience looking out over leeds city all lit up!our nicest suprise was the gentle acoustic music set up that was playing!everything was fantastic and we will definatly be heading back!
This was a great location for my wifes 40th dinner, just her and myself. There was a good crowd at the bar. This is posh bar food (in a nutshell) with warm meals and (our choice) cold meat platters, sashimi platters. The service was excellent and one felt like that they took care of YOU.
Booking was easy via toptable and the gluten free and dairy free (my wife) note was immediately discussed on arrival. They had a decent selection of GF and DF foods (makes a change for 'nice' venues). I was told by my wife, that i could have improved the evening by taking her shopping first and ending with the meal, so for anyone else, that is a good evening to consider.
We visited on two occasions, Saturday 2pm for lunch and Sunday 10.30 for breakfast. Our grandaughter is studying at LU and joined us on Sunday. We were delighted with everything.
The premises definitely have the "wow" factor.
The staff were exceptionally polite and people friendly. They moved about very quickly which gave a fantastic impression of being well motivated and interested in the success of Angelica.
The food was visually appealing and tasted very good as did the beer (Sat!).
Myself and my partner celebrated our anniversary here on a Saturday at 3pm.
We couldn't believe how busy it was, we wanted some sort if privacy and we managed to still get it, our table was perfect.
Stunning view to compliment stunning food, we shall definitely return.
Went for a birthday lunch at Angelica and bith of us were very impressed by the superb calibre of the food and service. My wife's Mojitos were amongst the best she's ever had and my starter of king prawns was amazing. Great for lunch, but I understand it gets very busy on an evening.
The menu is very interesting and flexible in that you can mix and match things from different sections. We started with the goat's cheese popcorn which was tasty and then shared smoked salmon, spicy beef and cold meats which were all fresh and flavoursome. The views are fab and the service is excellent. It isn't cheap but the food is fresh and well presented with lots of variety. The cocktails are also great and the coffee is strong and smooth. You can also just have bar snacks or a dessert with a drink - the warm seaside donuts are lovely! Highly recommended for an early evening summer dinner or a brunch.
I have a regular lunch meet up with a couple of friends every few months and this one was my choice. They arrived before me and a Hendrix martini was chilled and waiting for me. The waitress was friendly and jovial. The food was superb and we were offered a tasting of three wines as we were wondering which one to choose. After lunch I met another two friends for a catch up and the roof terrace was the place to be on a hot Saturday afternoon. Again the service was great and a thoroughly pleasant lunch afternoon was enjoyed by all. The buzz in the main restaurant/bar was great so will try it at different times. Would definitely recommend.
We dined on Sunday at lunchtime. The food and service were excellent even though they were pretty busy. The staff were attentive but not pushy. We had drinks outside after lunch which is a lovely space with music piped through Cocktails are superb and everything is top quality. A great venue - only downside is that they now don't take bookings for Friday and Saturday evenings which is tiresome - if going for dinner you want to know you have a table! Highly recommend for lunch though.
Be very happy, you have only just arrived. Prepare yourself, it gets better. Okay, the online afternoon dining reservation was excellently communicated, but the desk was unmanned and our arrival was met unnoticed. This is as picky as one can get from such a fastidious person. The rest, well, apart from a simply exquisite experience overall, full marks must go to the HR dept. Don't be mistaken, we're talking x factor finalist material and I think they might have just reinvented that very special dining experience for you. Lastly, the service recieved from Carl is as good as it gets and this guy made it happen. Thank you.
My 2nd time at Angelica's and we had a great meal. Sometimes when returning to a venue the novelty isn't quite the same and some of the wow factor disappears. Not so with Angelica and on a Friday lunchtime it retained the same buzzing atmosphere, great service and good food that I'd previously enjoyed.
I can't recommend Angelica's enough, the staff are outstanding and make it a real pleasure to dine here.
From the moment we set foot in this restaurant we knew it was special, the chairs were comfortable, and our table was at the window over looking the Leeds night skyline, that was equal to restaurants I have eaten in London or abroad. The food was delicious and well presented, different without being crazy. We had a wonderful time, even the music was right up our street, we loved it.
Really welcoming staff, great service. The food was tasty & well presented. The waitress recommended suitable wine & the desert was delicious. We sat outside on the balcony, table heaters keep you warm however it was sunny day so we turned the heater off & enjoyed the lovely views of Leeds. We will be returning soon.
This was my first visit to Angelica. I went with a group of friends to have lunch before heading to the Theatre.
We loved it from the moment we walked in.
Super service, fabulous food & a seriously wonderful setting.
The four of us each had a cocktail, we shared a bottle of prosecco, we had a starter, a main each, one dessert to share & coffees. Including a service charge, the bill came to £44 per person. Which I thought was great value.
I ordered smoked salmon scotch quails egg with alioli on the side which was gorgeous. Followed by the mushroom vol au vent with spinach & a poached egg which was seriously good.
I would highly recommend a visit to Angelica to anyone. It's definitely on my favourites list!
