I booked for an evening anniversary meal. we were greeted with a complimentary glass of bubbles. The food was stunning, well cooked, nicely presented and authentic. The staff were superb, friendly and attentive. A really good place for a Ruby Anniversary.

The reason I chose this restaurant was for a number of reasons. Firstly, the location was very handy. My cousin was over from the states so after some sightseeing it was easy to get to. I also did a lot of researching and there were a lot of good reviews. We were not disappointed. The waiter was patient, knowledgable and helpful.
The atmosphere and decor was perfect. Food was exceptionally good. We were all pleasantly surprised.

I went here with a group of friends and we all had the set lunch. The food was excellent and amazing value, with a good wine list to accompany it. I would recommend anyone to go there and will be going back!

It was the first time we had visited but won’t be the last. Lovely restaurant with friendly staff and very good service. Food was excellent with very good flavours.
We both had haggis starter followed by lamb and chicken and then chocolate desert. We were also given both a glass of bubbly for my wife’s birthday , nice touch .

I definitely recommend this for any occasion. The service is good and the food is fabulous. With three people we had 6 dishes. We all agreed that the cod, a main dish, was the winner, but all dishes were amazing.

Great food..staff could be slightly more attentive for the type of restaurant. We were sat in the back room which was quiet cold, and it wasn't cosey at all. Other than that lovely

Had booked a table on the recommendation of a chef friend. We were not disappointed! It was our 15th wedding anniversary and they gave us a complimentary glass of bubbles when we arrived. The food was amazing and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was intimate and easy to chat. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will be booking again next time we are in Edinburgh! Thanks for a lovely evening.

Me and my partner came to Edinburgh to celebrate his 40th birthday.
Angels was recommended by the owner of the guesthouse we were staying and I'm so glad she did.
The restaurant doesn't draw you in front the outside but once in, it is a lovely relaxing atmosphere with very nice staff and most of all excellent food, we had haggis and crab for starters , then lamb and scallops for main, but that description is not enough, they were delicious.
Only sorry we don't live near enough to visit again!!

Our first visit to Angels with Bagpipes and hopefully not our last. We booked online which was really easy. We came here for a 30th birthday lunch and were definately not disappointed. We ordered from the set lunch menu which was extremely reasonable for the setting, quality of food and service. We were so glad we picked this restaurant over the many others nearby.

Each course was wonderfully presented and tasted fantastic. We had no complaints and would recommend to family and friends without a doubt. The next time we come to Edinburgh hope to visit again!

A visitor from the US made discovery after discovery, a few of Scottish origin, but mostly just original, wonderful cooking. A British friend and I had the tasting menu, which didn't stuff us, but just left us pleasantly full after eight courses. The wines with were expertly chosen and in some cases unusual.

Food was superb. Lunch fixed price menu had enough variety to please a range of tastes. I had the pasta which was beautifully prepared and the quantity was spot on. Pleasant unrushed experience with tasty food. An excellent place to meet friends or for a business lunch.

We made a reservation here to celebrate our engagement and it was a terrific experience. We got a fantastic table and the staff brought out some complimentary glasses of champagne at the start of dinner, which was great. Food and staff were all wonderful, we would definitely go again next time we are in Edinburgh.

The food and service are excellent. My wife and I chose to eat at Angles with Bagpipes for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and were not disappointed. As soon as we walked in we were treated like VIPs and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was unsure about location since it is on the Royal Mile but it is a cozy modern dinning experience. While in Edinburgh this is a must try restaurant.

This is a hidden gem right in the heart of Edinburgh. Looking tiny and almost insignificant from the front, the restaurant is a surprising delight to walk into, with a modern look and friendly staff. We had the 6 course tasting menu with paired wines, and can honestly say it was some of the best food we've ever eaten. Big thanks to the staff also who made our visit extra special. Perfect for a romantic or special meal.
