Very good value and quality food . Great UK inspired food.
Superb food, lovely atmosphere, my partner and I had the tasting menu with wine pairing, and the staff were attentive and knowledgable. Truly wonderful experience.
Fantastic, unusual food, and great service.
I understand there is a new chef. The food is still imaginative but perhaps less so than before. That said, the service was much better. It was also quieter. I think the chef will find his form and the restaurant will be excellent.
Sorry to write I was a bit disappointed
and I was expecting a bit more for a a New Year's Eve menu.
Food was ok, wine was ok, although we were definetely expecting more quality for such the occasion.
Portions were absolutely tiny (especially the langustine), not even in a 3 stars michelin restaurant I was served such minuscule portion as a main? Langustine with truffle? Where was the real grated/shaved truffle?
Monkfish was raw inside, bland and average
I felt dishes were more of a welcome rather than mains (a part from the beef).
Overall service was great and the atmosphere casual and stylish.
Very average sort of experience, was overpriced and I expecting much better for the price we paid!
Excellent food and great matching wines. Really good value for Michelin quality food. Will definitely be going again.
Fantastic! Delicious British fare
Overpriced and unimpressive. The food was ok but I expected much more skillfully paired flavors and long lasting impression. It wasn’t bad but really forgettable.
Service wise, it seemed like the staff didn’t know inside-out their menu, which was disappointing as it is made of 7-8 Tasting menu dishes - how hard can it be?
There was a bit of a frustration on our side when it comes to receiving the next meal as our conversations were always interrupted in order for the food to be presented.
I believe the menu is overpriced for what it is and doubt I’ll recommend this restaurant or will come back myself.
It seems that the concept for boutique, luxury tailored restaurant was not quite achieved.
This is a splendid place in every way. The food is superb and the wine list has some different options.
I absolutely adore Anglo. Incredibly lucky to have a restaurant of this quality in the neighborhood. Mark Jarvis is cooking at the top of his game. Can't fault it in any way.
Just a great evening with friends, catered for all allergy problems without any issues. Food and service just perfect.
We had the set lunch. The food was superb, but the portions were minuscule - not only the expensive fish, but also cheaper Welsh rarebit (3rd course) and the starter. Three bites, and...gone.
Really great food. Really great service. Really annoying guy who was having dinner there and wanted to let everyone know his politics. That was a minor quibble.
The restaurant was sadly a bit empty on a Tues night in December. However, there were just enough people to give a gentle ambiance. Food was delicious, with courses getting progressively more filling. I enjoyed the cheese on toast but it divided the crowd. Would come back. The £55 tasting menu was good value for very accomplished food.
A good value high quality tasting menu for lunch. Food was excellent, enjoyed everything we had. The accompanying wines were well-suited for the most part, with some active discussion of whether one of the reds needed to be fuller. We were there for 3 hours, and would not hesitate to recommend Anglo.
Fourth time I’ve eaten at Anglo and I’ve loved it each time, great food and good wine pairing
We had the most amazing time , it was everything I was hoping it would be. The food so well thought out the flavours created such excitement from my guest's who were both vegetarians and the staff professionalism and knowledge on each dish as well as the wine made for an absolute wonderful evening, Thank you so much Mark and your amazing team. xXx
Great value and delicious lunchtime menu is always a hit with me. Well conceived dishes that pack a punch of flavour. The yeast butter and smoked rapeseed oil paired with the sourdough kick the journey off perfectly. Do try and enjoy!
Delicious 3 course set menu. All courses were fantastic. Service was polite and swift. Restaurant was quiet when we arrived but got busy by the time we left. I will definitely go again.
Delicious food, friendly staff and calming atmosphere. We had a lovely experience over the dinner tasting menu and wine pairing. Thank you!
Food was superb, loved every course. We had wine pairing as well with some well chosen wine with a nice explanation given of each wine- 2 of the grp dont drink red wine but staff happily swapped out reds for white which was much appreciated.
The venue is basic but fine, we felt comfortable and well looked after. We weren't rushed at all.
Would recommend for groups of friends as well as couples.
So, so good. Always creative, always fun and always great service. And this time I persuaded them to part with the butter recipe. Heaven!
Great food If a little pricey for what you get on the tasting menu.
Tasty food but many dishes felt incompleet.
Service was stressed and badly synked.
Three visits over a 12 month period and three superb meals. Excellent flavours and presentation. Very hard to choose our favourite course as every one was mouth watering. Can't wait until we are next in London so that we can visit again. Very highly recommended.
Fabulous flavours and beautiful food in each and every course. A beautiful tasting menu, as good as some we've had at more than double this price.
The staff were lovely and friendly, the pace was just right. Faultless!
Thank you for a superb meal.
A superb find serving the most exquisite food imaginable! Every bite a delicious morsel. We left fat and happy.
Absolutely loved loved loved every dish. My husband typically loves his Italian food and is usually quite hard to please when I suggest something new but, The Anglo was amazing and ticked all the boxes. Would thoroughly recommend.
first time here and thoroughly enjoyed it - a real foody place. will be back
Great experience. I took my parents there as they were visiting London. Fancy food of Morden style and fantastic service.
It is a must to try this restaurant. Amazing food, fine dining.
The food was great. The service was never bad, but seemed to change shift part way through and tailed off a bit. The decor (and loo's) need a bit more decoration to make the whole offer a bit more attractive, but the place was full and quite buzzing, and you can just enjoy the company of your table companions whist relishing the delicious food.
Completely unassuming and unpretentious restaurant with no frills but fantastic food and service.
Note that only the tasting menu is available at the weekend however, which is worth the experience but was more than we'd planned to spend on lunch. This means no choice, but they were very accomodating and provided an alternative to the meat course. It was very quiet at lunchtime, which was perfect for our group, but I imagine it is buzzier in the evening. Would definitely recommend.
Although the menu was slightly limited the food was excellent and the service and ambience were very good. The bread and butter was delicious and yes I will come back and eat here
Top quality cooking, 2nd visit and was even better than before!
We had the lunch time tasting menu with wine pairing. The manager explained each dish and wine pairing to us and was very friendly. As for the food, that was a complete wow and something we will be seeking to repeat in the future. A thoroughly brilliant experience all round
The value and quality of the food was good but the service and the decor was poor and please do something about the toilets! At a cost of £65 a head I would expect a better overall experience.
Five of us came to Anglo for a special occasion. We all greatly enjoyed the tasting menu and would recommend.
Terrific experience as usual. Great food and atmosphere. Had an old friend from out of town and it was the perfect setting to catch up. Anxious to see your new wine menu, as it was clearly under construction. First time tasting the red version AO’s SP68. Very nice little wine.
Food was delicious. Service was a bit slow at the beginning and we had to wait when we arrived for our bottle of wine. The Ladies toilets had an unpleasant smell and the seat was wobbly (a little DIY needed). However we could not fault the food and this place is a real little gem.
