Had a reservation. Lots of tables open. Stuck us by the entrance to the kitchen and kept knocking into our table as they were coming out. Table next to us full of very loud people which made an already loud restaurant louder. Food was mediocre. Was here before. Had a similar experience but keep reading good reviews about this place so decided to give it another try. Will not return.
GREAT find! searching restaurants on Bell Blvd. Queens and this french bistro pops up. We are still talking about it. Every single dish we ordered was a hit and we ordered Signature drinks, apps, salads, main courses and 4 desserts. The service was outstanding and a side note, they have a party space upstairs that we looked at and would consider hosting an event here.
We are regulars, the food and service is excellent.
The waiter is very professional. The. Food was good. And The service. Very Nice
I would. Go. There. Again. And recommend. The restaurant to anyone
Came in for an early Brunch and everything was on point! They have an Unlimited cocktail menu, for two hours pending purchase of a Brunch Menu item, that consists of Bloody Mary, Bellini or Mimosa for $18.00. All the cocktails are quite good and the food items delicious. Had their Seafood Salad, very fresh, including the salad greens! Very fresh, very crisp and the seafood tender. The Egg Whites with spinach, goat cheese and mushrooms delicious!! And their desserts are fantastic. At least we can say the Pomegranate Panna Cotta, Mixed Berries Sabayon and Chocolate Cake are. Great Brunch spot. Can’t wait to try dinner there.
Service super slow. Drinks took 20 minutes to get to our table. When food finally came, we need more drinks and when took another 20 mins. Once apps were done. Dinner took another 45 mins. When entrees finally came, the apps dish was still on the table. No place to set the entrees. Still waiting on drinks.
The manager in the restaurant, just walked back and forth, saw our table and did nothing.
I spoke to the manager at the end. Told him service was terrible and they did not deserve the automatic gratuity.
Caught up with my boss for dinner at Aperitif. We ended up dining in the bar area as it was a beautiful evening and the doors were open. Service was a bit slow as the bar tender was also our waiter. Food was excellent, the ambiance was great.
Nice. Food and good service. Would go again Improve. More variete of cheeses
I went for dinner in July and had the yummiest dinner. Decided to try brunch and was not disappointed. My steak and eggs was fabulous!
We ate at aperitif on a Saturday evening (it was pretty late) but worth it
The beef Wellington was on the special menu & it was outstanding
Our waiter (I think Nick) was great in every way!!
Excellent service and great food
My husband’s birthday
Loved the food It was our first time here for brunch. Glad it wasn’t loud so we got to talk with friends peacefully without screaming over other people’s voices. We definitely go there again
We always have a great time at Aperitif! The brunch is great, the staff is friendly and attentive, and I love the decor.
First time visitor, will make sure to come back. Excellent food, wonderful ambiance. Our server Nicholas was the gold standard.
Be prepared to stay a while…
We had a 6:45 pm reservation (for 4), we arrived on time, and were seated promptly. About 45 minutes after we placed our order, we had to inquire about our order with a member of staff who happened to pass by — our waiter had not checked on us during this entire time and there was no bread on the table. 5 minutes later, our food came out but without our appetizers. After another inquiry, the waiter returned to inform us that the kitchen had forgotten our appetizers.
As we were leaving after dinner, a member of the staff (not our waiter) apologized for the wait claiming they were very busy — the dinning room was only about 15% full the whole time we were there. I would NOT recommend this restaurant if you are hoping for a fine dinning experience.
A great place to hang out with friends and eat good food and have a few good drinks.
Delicious breakfast -- nice big cups of coffee, attentive service. Nice atmosphere.
Love the food here. I have been here a few times. It took a while for our drinks to come out. Also, we had an early dinner reservation at 7:15 and restaurant was almost empty, but we were sat directly behind another couple. Then a loud group of 4 came in and they were sat right across from us. They were very loud and I could barely hear what my boyfriend was saying. I will be back because the food is great, but hope the seating is improved.
Very lovely here and food and service as well
Loved the food and the service
Parking is tough but the drinks, food and the service was wonderful. Looking forward to going back.
Great food great atmosphere
My partner and I went here for the first time this past weekend. The restaurant is quite spacious with very nice decor and excellent mood lighting. The wine selection is interesting and while they offered a number of different options per wine type I was surprised to see that the vast majority of whites were either a Chardonnay or a Chardonnay related varietal; which limited options to those that don't really enjoy Chardonnays. Our server was great and prompt and always ensuring that we were well taken care of. The only downside to this evening was one of the appetizers, escargot, which was lukewarm at best and had a distinct after taste that didn't quite suit it. Overall, I would definitely come back and recommend this place.
Does not have gluten free options.
Great place to go for a quick drink at the bar or a nice meal in the dining room. There is an unlimited brunch option if you are looking for bottomless drinks (for two hours) without the crazy party vibe. The atmosphere makes you feel as though you are in Paris! The menu has a lot of variety and you get decent portions for the price. There is also an upstairs area where they host private events. I've been here three times and will keep coming back!
We started our experience with cocktails. My Cherry Gotham was surprisingly dry and had the perfect kick. And a maraschino cherry!!
The dinner menu was a nice mix of French cuisine standards and eclectic selections. We shared a grilled calamari salad that was a meal in itself. My wife enjoyed her hazelnut encrusted salmon. I ordered a seafood risotto dish that exploded with flavor in every bite.
For dessert we shared a dark chocolate mousse with whipped cream.
I left happy and with half my dinner in hand to enjoy tomorrow. Always a tough decision to pack a dinner so freshly made. It may not be the same tomorrow but it won’t suck.
This place is charming and for the most part has very good food. There is happy hour in the bar area every day until 7 so that was a nice perk for us to be able to get some appetizers before the dinner. As there was a party going on in the main dining room the hostess was very accommodating in placing us up front in that bar area so we were able to chat comfortably. Normally the noise level is fine and this place is excellent for just some snacks or hors d'oeuvres or a full dinner. The waitstaff is lovely as well
Went to Aperitif on our anniversary. Inventive cocktails. Oysters were very fresh. Salad special was fresh and delicious. Main courses of duck and filet mignon were terrific. Dessert was on the house to celebrate our anniversary -- profiteroles and flan and cappuccino. Service was terrific. We come frequently and will continue to do so.
thank you so much for making my moms birthday dinner a wonderful experience. food, service, and overall vibes was just amazing. thank you.
Took my mom and grandma to dinner for Mother’s Day. The drinks were soooo good. They had the coq au vin which tasted very nice. I had the Duck and it was done to my liking. The crème Brûlée was beautiful. Definitely would go back
1st I never write reviews ever but I have to say for me to spend that much money on Mother’s Day and not one person acknowledged my Mother by saying Happy Mother’s Day bothered me. Other restaurants she was given a rose and a warm welcome, not here, not a word. We were seated quickly but waiter took long to come over, literally didn’t say a word just held his pad like waiting for us to speak . I felt most of food was tasty but way overpriced. My salmon didn’t have a lot of taste .chicken co co vin was really good but my family felt it wasn’t a reason to return . the door was open so restaurant was cold and so was the atmosphere.
Awesome food great service!
My husband and I came here Mother’s Day with our seven month old prepared for some sort of wait and likely delayed service - (only because of the holiday and not because of our previous dining experiences here). Our table was ready when we checked in and our server, though I could see she was stretched thin and running around a ton, was excellent. Prefix menu was better than expected and everything was really well done. I have always had nice experiences here and it was a pleasant relief that my first Mother’s Day out with my baby went so smoothly.
I absolutely recommend
Me and my sister took mom there for Mother's Day this year. The food was wonderful. Friendly atmosphere and waitstaff. Brunch drinks were endless for a reasonable $18/person. I had seafood salad, which was excellent. Calamari was tender and not rubbery from overcooking. Mom and sis had the burger which they both could not finish. Dessert was excellent. We each had something different so we can try each others. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.
Fabulous restaurant with excellent service! Worth the hours drive! Only negative is parking. Would love if they had valet service! Other than that, this is one restaurant you have to go to!
Food and ambiance were pleasant. The service was slow and inattentive Nothing to suggest a return visit
Second time we went here and both visits were delightful. The wait staff was professional and made me and my wife very comfortable.
This was my first visit and it was a great choice. Parking in the area is not great, but it was not too crowded inside. Very laid back ambiance and the food was great. I enjoyed the amount of cuisine options as well. The prices were reasonable and service was good. I would recommend for a nice dinner date or special occasion.
The lobster roll I had for brunch on Easter Sunday was delicious. I'm so glad that they had there regular menu that day as opposed to a special Easter menu with limited items. This was the 2nd time that I have been there for brunch and it did not disappoint. I love the atmosphere of this place. Maybe, the next time I go there I will hang out in bar for a few cocktails. The bar looks like it's the place to hang out for a good time.
