We love fresh fish.
Since 1998, my family has tried to share that love with all of our guests through our fishmongers, restaurant and street food.
Like our entire business, our restaurant focuses on getting the best fish and keeping things simple.
We source all of our other products from the Market and tend to only use seasonal produce.
If you love fresh fish, a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff come to Applebee's and see what we are all about.

Food was amazing - very fresh and everyone’s meal was cooked to perfection. Will definitely return when in London again.
Been going to Applebee’s for 10 years or more and can’t remember ever having a meal that wasn’t superb. If you don’t like fish.. it’s not for you, but if you do-there isn’t a better place in London.
Fabulous as ever
Lovely seafood restaurant by Borough Market. Octopus dish was tasty. My friends mix fish dish was flavoursome and cooked just right. It’s not a big place so can be stuffy. Big of a pain when it’s busy with 1 toilet. However we had a lovely meal.
Really nice food and staff. Will recommend this place for any fish lovers. Suitable for couple dinner as well as families get together.
We’ve dined at Applebee’s on several occasions and happy to say never disappointed, staff despite been busy are always helpful and attentive and the food lives up to its billing!
Always a brilliant evening at Applebee’s - love it!
Applebees Fish for a brief family gathering post concert at Southwark Cathedral. Welcoming, flexible (two guests only wanted starters) food quality excellent, we needed a late night venue and if you want excellent fish this is it.
Food was great, a little pricey for the style of the restaurant and our waitress was rather grumpy, but over all we had a good night.
The place is OK. The personnel was fine but otherwise, I would not recommend this place. Tables are old (not vintage or nicely old) and sticky. Prices for food are too high for the taste and quality (but of course it is central London).
What a lovely little place. We had excellent service & the food was absolutely delicious. It’s quite expensive but I think it was worth it as everyone really enjoyed the starters & mains too. We will be back
After reading all the great reviews I decided to try Applebees. Very disappointing my friends food arrived before her drink and it took ages before we could get anyone’s attention to order that! I also ordered a side of fries with my meal which never came. I wouldn’t go back there.
We went early for a business catch-up. This is a busy restaurant in a busy area next to Borough Market. It became so busy that the noise was much louder than bearable as the evening drew on (after 7.00pm). It is mainly fish but all sorts. The octopus starter was definitely more than starter size and with a salad would have been enough but fish and chips with mushy peas looked too tempting. Portions are large (so skip starters) and they were good - crispy chips and batter and the fish was cooked just to make it fall apart. The service was confused. we had two people repeatedly ask us for our order for drinks, food and refills which made it a bit frantic. when asked about water the offer did not include tap water which they do provide. Make sure to ask for that.
Excellent choice of wines to complement excellent menu
Love this place, its especially good for lunch. Service always friendly
Came here twice within a week as we had an amazing experience during our first visit. During our second visit, while the food was still top notch the service was pretty mediocre. The waitress and waiter were nice but the manager was pretty rude and dismissive. Well now I know to not visit this restaurant on Monday and instead will visit on Wednesday, unless their schedule changes. Negative things aside, the lobster risotto is to die for!
My first visit to Applebee's and absolutely loved it - food was great and the staff were really friendly and cheerful. Will definitely be back.
Delicious as always - very accommodating with our vegetarian daughter !
Great place, reasonably priced for Borough Market. Excellent seafood, great wines. Well worth a visit
Really nice staff
Can’t wait to go back
A really enjoyable evening, interesting menu, food well cooked & presented. Service was excellent, well worth the 45 min journey from our hotel. David & Susann Cook
Delicious, fresh, good value food. Pleasant staff. Would return.
This was the second time we’ve been there. Fab food, would go again. Well worth the money.
Good service and nice food - will definitely return.
We booked for online for 10 people, so a large Party, but no problems booking it. The Restaurant is nice and in a good Location next to Borough Market.
We were greeted nicely and everything was ready for us.
The Food was very good. I had Octopus to start and then perfectly cooked Sea Bream. It came with a sauce, which was good to taste, but it would have overwhelmed the fantastic Fish for my personal taste had I put it on the Dish.
It may have been because they were busy and we were a large Group, but my only criticisms are that the Service was a bit perfunctory and did in truth lack warmth and much charm.
The Espresso at the end was incredibly bitter and the Limoncello not really chilled.
Overall though, we enjoyed ourselves and most importantly, the Food was very good.
I would go again.
The meal was excellent and great value for money, I would definitely recommend this
The Decor nice and cosy
The service was a let down the waiter was not warm and made us feel like we were a burden to her
The Toilet was not very clean and could do with uplifting
Amazing shellfish! Visited for my husband’s birthday with our two children. We had the shellfish platter between four of us which was plenty. It was the best seafood we’ve had in years. The lobster and scallops were to die for. We were disappointed by the desert having cheese and biscuits which was very bland and boring . We will definitely visit again but just wouldn’t have desert.
Great fish served by staff who know how to help customers get a great experience. Worth a visit.
Really good fish delivered simply with no fuss. Star is the Turbot Fish and Chips which is cooked to perfection!
Food was delicious and the staff were outstanding. Really enjoyed spending the afternoon sat outside on good Friday. Brilliant atmosphere being just off Borough Market
The food was outstanding - and exceeded expectations. We sat at the counter instead of a usual table (by choice) and this made less formal which was great. Located just off Borough market allowed us to almost be part of the street life which we liked. The service was a little strange.. only the barman smiled and was attentive; when we wanted food service it was slow to come and when we didn't it did! It wasn't that busy either. But the chef created course after course of great food so worth returning
Great location in London Bridge but just didnt cut it for me as a fish restaurant. I hate to say this, but I think the fish was frozen and defrosted - was a bit chewy and overcooked ( lobster risotto) & Monkfish kebabs.
had asked for a table outside that was vacant but told that it was prebooked and instead we could sit near the door so we could See outside.. . Not quite the same. The "prebooked" table of 4 never showed and rather than offering it to us, gave it to a scruffy looking couple who chain smoked outside. Maybe they were friends of the staff...?
Dont think I will return, especially as there are so many other great restaurants in Borough market.
The food was sublime with a great fusion of tastes and friendly welcoming staff.
In a central locations with a lively pub experience close by Abblebee’s is definitely worth the money.
Outstanding .. wonderful food great service lively atmosphere
Despite it being a Thursday evening the restaurant was full, which bears testimony to the quality of the food and service. Queries were dealt with efficiently and drinks were brought speedily to our table. We waited an acceptable length of time for our meal, long enough for us to know it was being cooked for us and not reheated. The mixed seafood grill was delicious although I do think the accompanying sauces could have been freshly made rather than from a bottle. My guest thought the fish and chips were great but was somewhat bemused by the minted mushy peas. (She liked them, but prefers the non-minted kind.) We weren’t hassled in any way and staff were always close enough by to ask for anything else.
Same high standard as ever. Never disappoints. Consistently good value for money
Reliably fresh fish, cooked precisely. And good value. But very poor acoustics - the brick walls need baffling.
Really enjoy coming here. Absolutely lovely food.
Fantastic menu choice and excellent quality! Be sure to book though.
Food was amazing. They catered for my allergies and we enjoyed it so much that we will be back. Only thing I would say is the space is quite cramped and can be a bit awkward but other than that a great place with a great variety. The wine selection was also lovely. Great evening overall
