We aim to give you an unforgettable feeling when you taste our food, taking you to the various regions of Puglia, have you been? If not, then its time to go there ... of course, through us! Or feel free to visit our main branch in Bari, where we have had years of experience creating wonderful dishes, which we now bring to you in London. The most important ingredients that we use in creating our dishes are actually imported directly from local producers and farmers from the Puglia region. We use very little yeast in our dough for both our homemade bread and pizzas and the proving process is a minimum of 72 hours. We, Sassa & Sons, are bringing Italian style cooking to you using our grandma’s recipes, unchanged in every way.
Small restaurant opposite market. Smallish menu, mainly pasta or sous vide meat/fish. Generous helpings of delicious pasta. Pistachio prawn and lemon fettuccine was excellent.
We took our son and his partner there for the first time. We have been many times. It’s always really good, food is always delicious
Very friendly and helpful service, especially as some of our party arrived very late - we were not made to feel we were causing trouble, and food was brought very swiftly when the time came. Delicious seafood, home-made pasta and pizza.
Lovely meal, excellent staff. Extremely attentive. Great atmosphere.
Welcoming staff, great food and drink. I met with a vegetarian friend here and we were both able to find something. I actually liked all three courses which is saying something for me. Well done chef & staff in general.
Really enjoyed our evening. We reserved last minute on OpenTable for a large number on a Tuesday. The restaurant ended up filling. Food was really nice and service was attentive. A warm experience.
A range of interesting Italian dishes that are less common. Beautifully presented, and served.
Price is a little high, but it's an experience dining, rather than cheap pasta.
I can’t fault this place or the people for an easy going lunch lunch. very satisfied.
The service was a bit slow. Took more than one hour to get our mains and we had to then rush off and skipped dessert .
The food was nice and the restaurant is very nice too
Amazing experience as always, fantastic food and friendly service. We had a birthday and they went out of their way to make it special.
Our usual time for dining at Apulia is for a pre-Barbican meal and this was also the case this time but we booked early enough to have a relaxed meal and had time for dessert. The food and service were excellent as usual and we enjoyed some nice wine by the glass. It's one of our very favourite Italian restaurants with interesting menu and special choices.
Nice restaurant - all good - quiet when we arrived at 5pm on a saturday but was packed within an hour - good service, good food and we had a nice table - i would recommend.
Very enjoyable as always , excellent value set lunch menu
Lovely food as always.
Great atmosphere, good service
The food was nice. Traditional Puglia dishes. Quite at 6.15pm, busy by 7.15pm when we left on a Thursday night. Tables are very close together so it's hard to get in and out during your meal. Nice meal for two + a bottle of wine and dessert was c.£80. Unlimited filtered water refills for £1 pp which is good for the environment
We were seated next to a large party of 10 people which made it very noisy in a small restaurant. Pleasant service and good pizzas but prices on the high side, suppose this is because of the location.
Nice little Italian - food did not blow me away but it was decent enough for a weeknight meal near the city.
Extensive menu of food and wine. Lots of helpful staff
I've dined here many times and always enjoy it. I'll be back!
Food and wine were very good. The staff were all very attentive. We somehow managed to miscalculate our bill and ended up paying a lot more than needed. Neither us nor our waiter noticed, however, the manager quickly realised and promptly rectified this. Would definitely recommend to friends and would return for the tiramisu alone.
Love this place. Very accommodating despite being a bigger group. Great food, wine and service
Great food and service!
Delicious food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We loved it.
First time there and thought the food was exceptional. This little place is punching well above its weight. The day’s special - fresh lobster spaghetti - was terrific. Ambience, service and wine selection were all on point. Would recommend for both a business or personal occasion.
When we visited for a Sunday lunch, the restaurant was empty. Menu is very authentic; service swift. I wouldn't say the pizza was very authentic but it tasted good enough. We also ordered pasta and steak, both of which were delicious. Very close to Barbican Centre.
The staff were very friendly and attentive but the food was so salty i could barely eat it. I didnt complain as i was out for a special meal with my mum and didnt want to make a scene (we were also going to a concert so didnt have a lot of time)- and hey im british. Such a shame as i was really looking forward to regional italian food. Good concept/poor execution. #basicerror Chefs need to taste their food before they serve it.
The ambience and service was great, the food however was a little bland,
Christmas pre show outing. Friendly staff at our early evening booking. Food a little disappointing, the risotto never lies!
Very good food and nice service.
Venue a little scruffy.
Good value overall.
WE really enjoyed our lunch here - thank you we will be back !
The only thing that let the restaurant down was that it was overtrading in the Christmas period. Our table wasn't ready at our booked time and even when seated it took a long time for a server to attend to us. Once we were served we had excellent, great value food from the Christmas menu. We'd certainly go back, but at a quieter time.
A wonderful old favourite of mine... always a pleasure to dine here
Very tasty food, nice service excellent selection of italian wines
Nice restaurant and good service, but unfortunately the pasta dishes were fairly small and bland
The food was exceptional and the portion sizes were good. The starters in particular were huge. I can thoroughly recommend the carpaccio.
The service was also good and whilst it was attentive it was not overbearing.
We arrived at 12:30 and were the only two people there which we thought was odd as it was just before Christmas. However it started to get busy around one and by 13:30 it was full - so the lesson to be learnt is don’t get there too early.
We always enjoy Apulia; this time we tried their slightly different pizzas (and also one of their Italian craft beers). All was good. The only thing not to like is the fact that the credit card machine asks for a gratuity even though the bill already includes a service charge.
Terrific Italian food. Buzzing atmosphere. Reasonable prices (for this part of London)
We have a lovely meal. Service was excellent. Would definitely return.
Competent pre theatre meal. Friendly efficient courteous staff.
