About Aqua Nueva
Aqua nueva, located in the heart of the West End, has a striking design and contemporary Spanish menu.
Head Chef Yahir Gonzalez offers a menu of small plates and Spanish dishes that honour the country’s culinary heritage and innovation, combining the best seasonal produce with his contemporary style, perfectly reflecting modern diners’ appetite for flexible dining.
The Robert Angell design is inspired by rich Spanish culture and has re-focused the space to unveil a beautiful open restaurant and central destination bar. Intricate black and white mosaic floors run throughout and a striking copper-coloured vaulted ceiling imitates the inside of the renowned sherry casks of Jerez. Guests can sit back and relax on chic banquette seating whilst catching glimpses of the chefs at work in the kitchen.
aqua nueva provides a hidden sanctuary reminiscent of sun-drenched Spain with two stunning terraces to enjoy a cocktail before or after dining.

Aqua Nueva Ratings and Reviews
Great service & really well prepared tapas in interesting surroundings. It is a real gem adjacent to Oxford Circus but at the top of a building with a roof terrace. I went early (6pm) & there was already a fun, busy vibe about the restaurant & bar. The tapas is expensive but very good.
The most outstanding dinner! I dined with my husband and four grown children while visiting London. The food was amazing -- so many fantastic tapas dishes to share, all with creative, beautiful presentations. We had fun conversations with Massimiliano Marchetelli, the Restaurant Supervisor. It's an upbeat contemporary place for delicious tapas.
We had a fantastic meal here and I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough. Our waitress was fantastic, informative, guided us through the menu, got us to try some new dishes and our experience was amazing. The outdoor area is superb and the whole evening was outstanding value
We were a table of 5 on a tight time frame as we were heading to the theatre which turned out to be quite a distance away from the restaurant. Our waiter was amazing. He recommended that they bring out a selection of platters. We had a wonderful tapas style meal with a wonderful bottle of cava and we got to the theatre on time.
Food was really good and an interesting change from the usual fare that is served in many Spanish restaurants. The waiters were really knowledgeable and we went with a couple of their recommendations that proved to be really good choices. We were very lucky to be able to sit outside on the terrace to eat on the last day in October!
After an afternoon shopping in London, this was a welcome surprise. It has smart and relaxing atmosphere. The food and wine were both excellent. We both had the hake with paella which was delicious. I would return there. The service was also very good. What a great discovery in Oxford Circus.
I visited Aqua nueva in a Saturday night. Food is Spanish gourmet standard (don't go for street Spanish food) and is very satisfying. Wine list is rich and with a wide range of prices. Service is nice and very flexible, we asked for many non standard things and we have received what we asked for. Outside service was closed because of the season bt we visited the area and was great. I'll go back for sure soon
the food was to a very high standard and the stuff was very friendly. I ate the lamb in sherry souce it waas very good. had a few tapas, the tomato bread was amazing! my boyfriend had the fish and mush with olive oil! the olive oil was exquisite. tables are spaced out and there is a small light above your table, which gives the illusion there is no one else around. overall setting is very nice and pleasant. décor is nice. overall very good restaurant. a bit pricey but definitely worth it!
This was booked for my partners bday. Overall I was very impressed with this restaurant. The ambience and general wow factor it definitely has. The food is scrumptious with thought most definitely been put into every morsel. The price is a little on the high side though and I did find I was hungry within an hours time again. The service was excellent very attentive but not too attentive that it became noticeable. I would definitely recommend it for romantic dinners. Just one main hang up, it takes forever getting through to the booking line so be prepared to wait a while. Other than that I will be visiting again,
I went for dinner with my girl friends, and it was very fun! The service was excellent all the staff were very friendly. The ambience in there was fab!! It was a Saturday night the weather was also lovely and the rooftop bar was good, but a little over crowded! Overall loved it and would definitely recommend it!!
We booked a table for 7pm and it was great to rock up earlier and enjoy the bar. I would recommend having some time in the bar as the not only are the cocktails lovely, but the surroundings are very cool, slick but not stuck up at all. Very chilled out atmosphere and staff very polite. Food was excellent. I had the beef and my partner had the pigeon and both were outstanding and portion size just right.
Went to Aqua Nueva with my best friend and we had one of the most delicious dinners I've had , but one of the slowest services I've ever experienced!
There was enough waiters to serve food and drinks on time, but the tempo of their work was far from great.
We ordered a few sharing dishes and two mains ( lamb and hake) and were really taken by the unusual flavors and tender texture. The waiter just took orders without suggesting any wine options I knew that the restaurant would be pricey, so was not shocked when the bill arrived. I would definitively recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner. Maybe not the best choice for business dinners as lack of professional service may be annoying.
