   We have been to Aquar Shard twice before. But the portion size has since shrunk considerably. My portion of roast hake was far too small, and two miniature brownies with a couple of smears and dots was not a proper desert. I left feeling hungry and will not return.

   Although I had already been in Aqua Shard several times and the experience had been always positive (over the expectations), this last time was extremely disappointing. There were two of us having dinner the 19/11/2022 and when we finished we tried to move to the bar, and the receptionists said “imposible, we are fully booked”, however the reservations are not allowed since the place is only walk-in. No other options were offered, like “the waiting time is 1 hour, or please wait they we would try to find a specs for you when if available”. Very dissatisfied with the service this time. I would have to decide next time between Aqua Shard or any other place with the same views but more kind and fair treatment.

   Pay attention to the menu, they don’t tell you there’s additional (AKA Supplement charges). A 39 pound per person lunch isn’t entirely true on their menu

    Booked a table for 6.30 but at 6.15 we were being ushered to it despite still waiting for the pre dinner drinks we had ordered. We were told we really had to go to the table now if we wanted a window seat and they would bring our drinks. Those drinks never arrived so after trying to catch eye of several waiters, our server appeared. He was lovely and helpful and we were finally able to order our drinks. We ordered food and wine. Starters - Burrata, duck and steak tartare). Very small portions of the steak and duck, with the duck consisting of 4 extremely thin slices. Mains - all had lamb. Good size portions and well cooked but arrived cold at the table. When asked about the food one of the party said it could have been warmer and there was no acknowledgement of the feedback. As for the red wine, there’s little under £70 a bottle so be prepared to spend a bit. We were given desert menus but when it came to ordering them we were told we’d only had 10 minutes left at the table. (At no point we’re we told we had a time limited slot.) We were told we could have a desert in the bar area and they brought our bill. 3 people, two bottles of wine (£136 a bottle) starters and mains only, came to £680 (£80 service charge). Expensive yes but you’re at the Shard so can expect it, but at the price you’d expect far more attentive staff, much better food and certainly not to be kicked off the table before getting to order desert. When paying the bill we said to a supervisor that we had not been told before we sat down that we were time limited, the fact we were being rushed off the table was now disappointing. Instead of acknowledging disappointed customers we were basically told, (incorrectly) it is what it is and the email confirmation made clear the table was time limited. This led to us refusing to pay the £80 service charge and being rather disgruntled, especially when on checking the email confirmation, there’s nothing about the table being time limited!

    Unexpected. I thought it was overrated and just a "panorama" spot, I didn't want to book there but it was the only space for the Shard that night. I have to say that I was totally wrong. Top level service, didn't eat food like that since my last visit to a Michelin starred, wine list amazing (if you have Etna Bianco you have me). Truly recommended even if the average of the customers is very basic London influencers.

    We went to the Aqua Shard to have dinner on a Friday night. We are a family of four that includes two adults and two children. We were a few minutes late because there was more traffic than expected. As soon as we got there they were rushing us to order. My daughter has a shellfish allergy and seafood allergy and the last time we dined there they made a special meal for her. This time the waitress said it’s Friday night and they can not help us with that request. While we were eating the main course they told us to order dessert because we only have 10 minutes left on the table. My kids could not even finish their dessert before they told us to leave because they needed the table for another party.

    Absolutely spectacular views and food. Portions are tiny and dishes are very expensive but worth every penny. Will definitely come back. Staff was attentive and very professional. Loved it!

    I have been to this restaurant in multiple occasions and the quality of the food and service has declined massively. The servers were having long conversations literally behind us and not paying attention to the customers. Throughout the whole night nobody poured our wine. They rushed us all the way through the meal, making us have our cocktails & red wine we ordered for the food at the same time as they delivered the food with the cocktails. The tartar was definitely bland and one of the worst I’ve ever had. Unfortunately I will not be coming back, it takes one bad experience to ruin you view of a place and it’s had completely ruined it for me.

    This was my second visit here and I was not disappointed. Having read mixed reviews from other diners, I was a little concerned this time as we were taking friends as a wedding gift from us. I had previously advised when making our reservation this was a special occasion and it was acknowledged by the staff with a small sweet treat at the end of the meal, which was a nice touch! We were seated in the window and enjoyed fabulous views of the City whilst dining on the brunch menu, which was very good and great value. Staff were attentive and service was very quick. Our table was allocated for 2 hours, giving us just enough time to finish our 3 course menu. I could not fault the food or service.

    Had the Peter Pan Afternoon Tea there and the theme was remarkable and well worth it if you are seeking out interesting afternoon teas. Probably the most expensive high tea I've had so far but the service is impeccable and friendly. The best part was the seating next to the window on the 31st floor of the Shard. The 2nd course of the tea was too sweet, the savory first course was much better. The only downside is that it's in the Aqua so you are sitting at small bar lounge tables to be next to the window and it was a bit too noisey with the regular lunch restaurant crowd at one end of the Aqua. Still worth the trip and money for me. Note: a service charge is included on the bill.

    The menu’s options were disappointing . I ordered a Fish that was disgusting and also the service at the door was extremely bad. If you have the option choose to go to the oblix is extremely better.

    First & foremost, I would like to say, I waited tables through college & am quite generous with forgiveness. I never leave a bad review. I also do not send food back to the kitchen. Typically, if my service is mediocre, I just do not patronize that business again. However, this experience was one that others should be aware of. The restaurant is kept very dark. It makes for nice ambiance, but you cannot hardly read the menu without placing it to your nose. I did not ask, but I assume they do this to keep the view unobscured. We, and others, had to use a cell phone light to read. We ordered water for the table & wine for the three adults (a virgin drink for the minor). After a bit of time, we were asked to order appetizers. We did. Another ten minutes or so, we still have not received even our water. We reordered the water. The water & appetizers came together. Still no wine. We reminded our waiter again & finally received our drinks. It was a 40 minute process to just receive our drinks. Throughout the evening, our drinks were empty and we were never asked to reorder. We had to stop random people to order more water; random people to order more wine. I will say, myself & my husband ordered the filet and it was very good. It was not fabulous, but it was a good steak. I cannot speak for the seabass that was ordered by the other couple except to say that they did eat it and seemed to like it ok. However, the taste of the food did not overpower the service (or lack thereof). Every plate that was set down, from appetizer to dinner, & every plate that was picked up, was dropped on the table with a clank or picked up (eventually) with a bash against everything around it. We are American. But, we are all very well mannered. We eat at expensive restaurants rather frequently. We have traveled the world over. When I am paying upwards of 500$ (usd) for a meal, I expect the service to be of a high end quality. Go to OXO instead. They were amazing.

    Fantastic service (which goes against a lot of reviews Id read in advance) - Marco the waiter is excellent at his job (adds a relaxed/friendly approach to a setting that some could find intimidating). Didn’t get a window seat sadly (as I left it till the day before to book - my fault!). Food was excellent, really enjoyed it. View of the London Skyline was incredible, something I won’t forget. Doubt I’d come back (once in a lifetime thing but glad we can say we’ve been once). Just the two of us - we had two courses, shared a dessert & had one glass of wine each… came to £200 (excluding tip). Not bad at all for the setting & quality of ingredients

    Service was pretty bad and unwelcoming We had to go to the bar multiple times to ask for requests rather than have the waiter come to our table. Drinks that were requested at the table were also forgotten. Service in london over the past year has become pretty diabolical due to poor staff and this is a prime example.

    Noisy as a night club, not fit with its claimed style, food is average, and I bet you need to order 2x of their 3 courses from dinner menu to make yourself feel like you have had eaten something. It's a great place to make selfies or photos, have to admit this. Perhaps this is the selling point for this place, and I should not consider this as a great place for taste.

    We came to cap the end of our wonderful trip to London. It was perfect. The window seat provided was breathtaking. Our bread and broccoli soup were impeccable and so was our ravioli and rocket salad. The potatoes were also scrumptious. The woman who took our order was one of the nicest waiters I have had in a long time at an establishment. An amazing evening-thank you!

    All in all a lovely experience for my children but a few disappointing things, 1. Wine pairings came out way before starter and for the main it came after. 2. Courses came way to quick after eachother 3. Did not mention beef included a supplement But staff was super nice and friendly and enjoyed the experience Thank you

    Nice but the brunch is a bit weak depending on what you order. Some dishes looked great. I ordered hake and it was literally a small square of fish on the plate with nothing else. V.underwhelming.

    The level of service was nonexistent. We barely got their attention to even get a drinks menu. When they finally came to take our order they were not really interested in helping us make a choice. I don’t think I will be going there ever again!
