Wait staff were rude and didn’t understand English very well. I told the restaurant in advance that this was a special occasion, yet no arrangements were made to accommodate my request. There was a toddler joining us and there was no space for the push chair etc. The brunch menu lacks healthy vegetarian options and there are no vegan options, which makes it very limited and restricted, especially since the full English breakfast stops being served at noon.

Great food and view, service I thought was very poor. A bit to dark in there for my liking. Found the waiter coming with his silly spray bottle in between main and dessert very annoying. Table was clean, I got sprayed and he interrupted a good conversation.
Glad I went to see it but don't think I be going back.

My fifth time here and appalled by what I experienced this time. The food was dreadful: gloopy pumpkin soup that was tasty but much too thick, roast chicken and veg with Yorkshire pudding (why?) was presented with the elegance of a bricklayer’s hod and tasted of nothing remotely resembling the ingredients on the plate. The treacle tart looked and tasted like it had been cold storaged for a week before it was served, and was certainly not fresh. All fur coat and nae knickers. Depressingly awful.

I had told my waiter about a mushroom intolerance and requested the full breakfast without mushrooms. Unfortunately it came with the mushroom and I asked for it to be changed - the dish that was brought back was clearly the same dish with the mushroom simply taken off - there was even still a brown mark where the mushroom had been. I didn’t want to complain more as it was a very special date to celebrate my anniversary with my partner but it definitely soured the occasion. My partner’s roast was unfortunately served lukewarm/cold.
I have to say that both of our desserts were delicious - my partner had the brownie and I had the bramble cheesecake.
I have always held the suspicion that places that can boast amazing views nearly always fall short in other areas and unfortunately I was proved right in this case.
Nice music and ambience.

Outstanding view at the 31st floor of the tallest building in London and EU. The service could be better. They forgot my wine, sugar for the coffee, fail in explaining the menu (which for brunch is very simple) and above all lacked of making you feeling with a warm welcome. We had to wait for a table book in advance, which is ok but without even offering us a glass of water.

The view at Aquashard is not to be missed. My friend and I were very fortunate to be seated right next to the windows. The weather was great, skies were clear and we could see for miles. Food was delicious and brunch was reasonably priced at £44 for 3 courses. My only issue was that when my friend ordered eggs benedict it arrived with bacon, I had stated when I booked we could only have a halal diet. We had explained to our server that we could only have halal food and had asked if there was any halal meat. She told us that none of the meat was halal. We also asked if any of the dishes had alcohol in them and she told us about a chicken dish that had alcohol in it, even though we wouldn’t be able to have it as the meat wasn’t halal. I think that staff should be trained to understand what different food requirements are and if they don’t understand then they should ask to confirm. The eggs benedict had smoked salmon and spinach as alternative options but my friend forgot to say. Really, the waitress should have confirmed what she wanted with the eggs benedict, especially as it was on the menu as an option. It was only when a different server came with the dish and realised that as Muslims we wouldn’t be having bacon that they checked with us and the dish had to be re-ordered. Other than that, the food was beautiful and delicious.

The view is amazing and definitely a selling point. We booked a table by window for brunch which was with a quite nice view, but we found it seems that the tables in the afternoon tea area are with greater view, so maybe try afternoon tea in the future for the view. Food and service are good, but the price is a bit too much - £44 for 3 course excluding service charge is quite expensive. Feeling more like pay for the view.

Booked as a pre-Christmas treat for dinner with my sister, we had a great table by the window. I've only been to Acqua during the day, and at night it is very atmospheric - great panoramic views of london by night, stylish bar and restaurant with a real buzz and certainly felt like a special night out.

The service was attentive and professional - the staff appeared very well trained. We only had a main course each, partly to avoid over indulging and partly because it's very expensive. All mains are around £40 or more, and many bottles of wine are hundreds of pounds if not thousands. The menu doesn't give much choice - but the sea bass on risotto with a lobster bisque jus that I had was absolutely delicious.

For one glass of champagne and one glass of wine each, and a peppermint tea after the main course we ended up with a bill of £170 - so you're probably paying a third more than a similar class of restaurant in the area for the view. But for an occasional treat and to feel like a special occasion it was worth it.

We arrived and were immediately turned away even though we had the booking, they said it was because we booked it via the app open table and said to book via the shard website directly next time. Management gave us a little while to take in the view and have a glass of champagne but it’s not quite the dinner I promised my girlfriend for her birthday :(

My cousin and I much enjoyed the tasty Christmas set lunch menu and the wonderful views of London. And, we appreciated that the slight delay in taking our order was taken on board by the restaurant staff took who provided us with an after lunch complementary glass of bubbly. Thank you, we will definitely be back again.

We enjoyed the setting however felt let down by the fact the food seemed over priced and very small portions, we asked could the team recommend a wine which they did to come back and tell us that they didn't have it in stock, then then tried to upsell us from a £65 to a £90 which was completely different.
Once we finished our food we were quickly given the bill which wasnt appreciated seeing that the bill was £350

Overall the setting perfect but felt let down by the menu and lack of professional service.
