Dishes feature carefully-selected fine British produce and combine the staple ingredients of British cooking with innovative techniques. The restaurant is open all day offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The contemporary cosmopolitan interior has distinctly British touches; gin and tea, both with strong roots in this part of London, have inspired the design along with Liberty fabrics which appear in subtle touches throughout the restaurant, complementing the dark oak floor. Best view of London, great food and drinks. One of the best experiences we have!
A must do While in London ... Amazing foos, service and Views!!! Best keep secret ...
Have dinner with an amazing free view of this amazing city ... I will go back every time
that I will visit London
The view was amazing and the food was great the lunch menu with the Bellini was good value
Terrible service! Ran out of various dishes. Not worth the money. Was awful
First time im london
Do not confuse yourself with offer. Offer means per one person when you book table for two person.
service was very slow. got worse after mgr was notified... food was mediocre at best. massively disappointing...
Very unique place for dining and cocktails. Service and experience was very good
This was a terrible disappointment. Waited 10-15 mins beforehand pre drinks were served. Not bartenders fault just simply not enough staff. We pointed this out, initially asked to move to our table but front of house lady persuaded us to go back to the bar and have our drink. The wait continued! Table was fine, ambience good although v dark. Needed phones to read the menu. Portions small and food tbh bland and not inspiring. Have tried hutong here also, disappointed with that place to. Won't be coming back to the shard. View amazing but food disappointing. At the prices you are charged plenty of other options in London.
We were initially disappointed to be sat away from the window like all the other couples were but the very kind maitre'd moved us for our dessert to the window seats.
Our food was delicious and the service was excellent, and although the wine was expensive we thought overall value good and would definitely go again.
Staff are quite unfriendly and the drinks are overpriced
Very good experience overall but the tasting menu simply wasn’t enough.
Vista meravigliosa, ambiente molto suggestivo, buon servizio ma la qualità del cibo non è stata molto buona.
The food and location is obviously very stunning however they really need to work on their service. Breakfast is advertised till 10.30 and we arrived early around 9.45. As soon as you sit down in a very quiet restaurant at this time of day, the waiter is already itching to take your order despite having had no time to look at the menu. The bill gets placed on your table at 11.15 when our sitting was at 10am, this seems very pushy. I understand that they need to start preparing for lunch but surely they could wait a bit longer especially when there are only 5 other tables occupied in such a large restaurant. The set breakfast menu is incredibly good value and I would go back again but I suggest the waiting staff take a few pointers in such a high end restaurant.
Overrated. Too expensive for the food serve. Menu is very limited. You only pay for the view.
Fantastic view, food and service. Very special dining experience.
Best view you can get in London and very good food.
The 360 degree view of London is worth the trip on its own. Food, service and atmosphere were great and the set menu was good value.
Aniversario 35 de casamiento.
Amazing views and priceless atmosphere.
Good quality food and presentation.
Above average prices.
Below average service by Daniele.
A disastrous service from Aquashard. Waited to be served waited an hour while the kitchen had
It was a nice experience. Loved the food. Service was nice.
A place to go at least once. If you are two, you can get a front row table.
Excellent food and service and great value set lunch. A number of options to choose from and a fantastic wine selection, will be back
Poor food and service, steak was overdone, ham hock terrine overly salty and no texture, drinks forgotten and water not refilled. Brocolli side forgotten and served after mains finished, pre dessert on set menu forgotten then served after everyone had finished. Couldn't recommend at just under £600 for 5 of us, expected much better for Michelin money, safe to say we won't be returning.
Wonderful view table..taste of the food was fantastic and the service was perfect.
I live and work in the area, so I’m quite familiar with any restaurant or bar in the shard as I often used to visit there.
In general I’m not a big fan of any myself but it’s good to take non-Londoners or people from abroad to show them the great view of tower bridge and city.
Same again this time.
It was a special request from friends of mine who are architects and fans of Lenzo piano. (Otherwise I wouldn’t have booked s table there...)
We ordered a dinner tasting menu and paring wine.
1. It was Sunday evening. The menu says “The chef’s seasonal tasting menu 6-11pm from Sunday to Thursday”, we were definitely eligible for it, but a waiter(quite impolite, maybe Italian or Spanish) somehow claimed that they didn’t serve it then. But I asked him to go to the kitchen double check it just in case, it turned out that of course we could order it. Strange!
2. It took quite time to even order, so we ordered some beers before the course starts. The starters came to the table first all of sudden quickly, no paring wine yet or even beers! So we cancelled beers and waited for wine. Food first? Really?
After a while, wine finally came but no explanation until I asked. They didn’t pour that at the table, but I wanted to see the label of the wine, so I kindly asked them to let me see when they have time. “The time” never come until we left the restaurant.
3. They don’t know how to serve dishes. We all had a tasting menu, it was the exactly same dishes (should be) but each plate was put in a different way. Which side should have faced to us?
4. When we left the table, the sunset was so beautiful at the other side, so we wanted to take photo quickly just before we went upstairs for the lift.
Something unbelievable happened to us!
The Asian receptionist (maybe Chinese as she was rude) told us off instead of greeting and saying Thank you and tried to let us go away not taking any pic. Because we might have annoyed the customers sitting in the area!
Very poor experience...
great views, relaxed atmosphere, but poor service. The waitstaff need to be trained. we asked 3 times for our second cup of coffee...and to charge £20 for 4 cups seems rather steep. Also. I asked a waitress about a building and she hadn't a clue. Pity. Be nice to have educated waiters who know a bit about London!
My husband and I went here at the suggestion of our hotel. Dinner was amazing BUT out server skipped one of the five courses on the prefix menu but even worse....they did not wipe the table next to us after the couple left. They picked up theirs dirty napkins and immediately put down clean utensils on the dirty table for the next car couple. Gross!!
For special occasions and for lovers of great taste. This restaurant exceeded expectations and the standards were great.
I have been here several times and this was by far my worse experience. I cannot fault the food and the wonderful view. The service on the other hand needs improvement. We had to ask the staff 3 times to bring some tomato ketchup for my young niece’s meal. For the price you pay and the type of restaurant, this is not acceptable.
A great way to treat a loyal employee. Delicious food, beautiful view.
Lovely place, great ambience, fantastic views across London. Food was pretty good but I think it could have been better. We went for the set menu which was fine and filling. Presented beautifully but I think it could have tasted a little better. The desserts were a little boring. Drinks selection: cocktails and whiskies were great. Would recommend mainly for the views and a great place to grab a drink. Not sure about the food though.
The food was nice. The ambience lovely. Just the service too poor and slow. We wait 25 mint just for one dessert , onther 10 mint for the bill..
GREAT food, GREAT service (very kind and friendly staff), GREAT view!! Must be the best steak I have tasted! Will be coming back:)
When we arrived they did not have the reservation and they gave us a poorly located table.
The service was very slow and poor and the quality of the food was not worth the price. Very disappointing for the price you pay
Everyone and thing was lovely, just if you order the burger get it medium rare as mine was bone dry.
Ignore any negative comments, you'll have a lovely meal with am amazing view. Took my family for brunch and had the most amazing afternoon.
The table is strictly timed to 2hrs max, but you can continue your drinks at the free standing/ seating area at the bar. Not cheap, but you are in a world class landmark, not wetherspoons.
Beautiful dining area, delicious and great price for what you get! However it’s very stuffy and awkward at times and made me feel almost unwelcome. Would still go back just for the view and the food!!! Oh and drinks impeccable !
